-"This game can be dangerous so you would have to go through extreme training for the next month, that means there will be no free time, when you aren't having classes you will be training."
'What? How am I supposed to complete the system's monthly task if I'll be busy training? I don't want to risk facing some hidden punishment,' Jacob contemplated with concern.
-"Today marks the beginning of your training. I'll be instructing you in the art of martial arts, hand-to-hand combat."
-"Prepare yourselves, for the competition will be fierce. Students from other magisterium academies around the world will be participating, and it's our Academy's mission to emerge as the champions. Is that clear?" the teacher inquired.
"Yes, sir!" the entire class responded in unison, ready to embark on the challenging task ahead.
"Very well! I will be selecting individuals in peers to showcase their skills in front of the class," Master Zing declared, retrieving a tablet and preparing to call out the names.
"Trust and Jacob, you two will be the first to demonstrate," he announced, causing Jacob's heart to skip a beat upon hearing his own name.
Jacob's anxiety started to surge as he contemplated the upcoming challenge.
(Hey! Hey! Calm down I'm with you, you can do this, we can do this) Dagon's voice sounded in Jacob's head.
-"Please hurry up; time is limited," Master Zing urged, emphasizing the need for promptness.
As Jacob made his way, he pleaded with Dagon.
"Listen, Dagon, I appreciate your support, but I want to handle this on my own. It's just a training session, and I believe in my abilities," Jacob pleaded, hoping to convey his self-reliance.
(Okay, I understand. I won't intervene, but if it appears that you're struggling, I'll step in. I can't stand idly watching if you're in trouble.)
As Jacob and trust his opponent got to the front of the class, Master Zing called in a second-year student from outside.
-"Amos come in, he will be my opponent today," Master Zing introduced Amos to the class.
-" Remember, combat is not about brute strength alone. It's about strategy, agility, and understanding the weaknesses of your opponent. Watch closely."
Amos bows respectfully and takes a fighting stance across from Master Zing. The other students watch intently, their anticipation palpable.
-"In combat, it's crucial to remain calm and centered. Observe my movements. "
Master Zing suddenly shifts into a graceful, fluid fighting stance, his body poised and his eyes sharp. He begins to circle Amos, studying him like a predator assessing its prey.
-"First, observe your opponent's center of gravity. Pay attention to their movements, and their rhythm. This will reveal their weaknesses.
Master Zing swiftly strikes Amos's thigh, causing him to momentarily lose his balance. With lightning speed, Master Zing follows up with a sweeping kick, barely grazing Amos's chest. Amos stumbles back but recovers quickly.
Once you identify the weaknesses, exploit them. React swiftly and precisely, but do not rely solely on brute force," Master Zing announced.
Master Zing continues his assault, evading Amos's attacks with ease. He counters with quick jabs, blocks, and occasional sweeps, always one step ahead of his opponent. His movements are efficient and precise, demonstrating the fusion of skill and strategy.
-"Remember, martial arts is a dance—a dance of power and control. Your body becomes an extension of your mind, a vessel for your intentions."
Master Zing gracefully disarms Amos, catching his wrist mid-strike. He then demonstrates various grappling techniques, showcasing the art of leverage and joint manipulation.
-"The art of combat lies not only in delivering blows but also in understanding the art of defense and control. Adapt, flow, and never lose sight of your objective.
Finally, Master Zing releases Jason, allowing him to regain his composure. The students erupt into applause, impressed by the master's skill and teachings.
-"Remember, my students, combat is a path of discipline, respect, and understanding. Strive to be the best version of yourselves, both on and off the mat."
"Wow!" Jacob lamented.
-"Now the both of you it is your turn, trying to do something similar to what you've just seen, " Master Zing addressed Jacob and Trust.
-"Remember, this is not about defeating each other, but about honing your techniques and applying what you have learned. Begin," Master Zing ordered.
Jacob and Trust bow to each other, displaying mutual respect, and take their fighting stances. The other students gather around, their eyes fixed on the action.
-"Remember your fundamentals, focus on your breathing, and stay composed. Engage," Master Zing instructed.
The two students engage with a flurry of strikes, blocks, and evasions. Their movements are swift, precise, and calculated. Jacob utilizes his strength and agility, while Trust relies on his speed and flexibility.
-" watches closely, analyzing their techniques and offering guidance, " Master Zing added.
-"Jacob, be mindful of your footwork. Maintain your balance and don't overextend yourself. Trust, watch your guard, and seize opportunities to counter.
The intensity of the fight increases as the students exchange rapid punches and kicks. Their bodies move in synchrony, showcasing the harmony between offense and defense.
Master Zing observes their form and steps in occasionally to correct minor flaws in their technique.
-"Remember, control is key. Find the balance between power and precision.
Jacob and Trust exhibit great skill and resilience, adjusting their strategies on the fly. They anticipate each other's moves and respond with calculated counters.
Master Zing's voice fills the room, guiding them.
-"Utilize your surroundings. Exploit the angles and redirect your opponent's force."
Jacob executes a skillful sweep, momentarily throwing Trust off balance. But Trust recovers swiftly, utilizing his agility to evade further attacks.
Excellent recovery, Trust, Jacob remain patient and look for openings.
The fight reaches its peak as Jacob and Trust unleash a series of dynamic techniques. They trade blows, each displaying their unique style and strengths.
Master Zing raises his hand, signaling them to stop. The dojo falls silent.
-"Both of you have shown great progress. Hand-to-hand combat is a continuous learning experience. It requires discipline, adaptability, and constant refinement. Remember, the true victory lies in self-improvement."
Jacob and Trust bow to Master Zing, their faces glowing with confidence and respect.
"Well done, my students. Return to your positions and continue to train. This is only the beginning. "
