章節 49: A Strange Setting

As Lucien pushed the door open, a creaking noise, reminiscent of something ancient being awakened, resounded in his ears. 

It sent a shiver down his spine, accompanied by an overwhelming sense of dread. "What kind of place is this?" Lucien muttered to himself, his voice barely audible against the eerie backdrop.

Stepping inside, his vision was greeted by an abyss of darkness, swallowing everything in its path. 

Plop!

Plop!

Contrary to his previous weightlessness, his feet sank into a viscous, crimson liquid resembling blood. With each step, a thumping sound echoed through the eerie darkness, amplifying the unsettling atmosphere.

"Is this really hell?" Lucien couldn't help but mutter under his breath. 

At first, Lucien hesitated because of his fear of the dark. But as he weighed the options, the thought of going back to reality with the goddess still in control terrified him even more.
