"By the way, what led you to become a student here? I heard you had quite a pretty 'adventurous' life previously?" Suddenly Leonard brought the topic up. His eyes were smiling as he propped his chin with his hand. 

"I got sick and tired of that kind of life, you know," Lucien replied with a grin. It was the made-up story he had prepared for anyone who dared to question his sudden change in personality and preferences.

"Ah, I see," Leonard didn't press for more details, which brought a sense of relief to Lucien, and swiftly changed the topic. "Anyway, it's kind of unfortunate that you're transferring at a rather unfortunate time."

"What do you mean?" Lucien's heart skipped a beat as a sense of foreboding washed over him, triggered by Leonard's words.

However, all he received in response was a mischievous grin from Leonard. "You'll find out soon enough."
