章節 2: 2

The next morning, Haru woke up energetically after a good night's sleep. He hurried down the hallway to the bathroom to freshen up and change his clothes. After finishing his breakfast, he went to the small library in the orphanage, a cozy room filled with shelves of books of various sizes and genres, mostly collected by the old dean over the years. It was Haru's favorite place as it was the quietest room, and few people visited it. He would usually come and read anything that sparked his interest, but today was different. With a specific goal in mind, he began his search, trying to find books that could help him. After some search, he found what he was looking for and thus took all the books to the small table. He began researching different methods for trap making and fishing. After hours of reading, without him noticing the time passing by, the dean came looking for him after he missed lunch. He stopped his research and apologized to the dean with a smile, vowing to be more mindful of time in the future.

As Haru had lunch, he thought about the challenges he would face in making traps without money or equipment. He knew that it wouldn't be easy, but he wasn't discouraged. He believed that he could still achieve what he needed with what he had, even if it took longer due to a lack of materials and experience. Time was one thing he had plenty of as a kid.

A week passed, and Haru completed his trap. Despite its simplicity and roughness, he was content as it still served its purpose. He was prepared to implement his plan, but there was still one obstacle in his way: the dean. Children his age were not allowed to go outside alone and were mostly accompanied by older kids when playing in the village. However, he knew that the older kids would not allow him to go to the lake, and even if he managed to convince them, children couldn't keep secrets, and the dean would eventually find out. Therefore, he understood that his optimal choice was to carry out the plan alone, but for that, he needed the dean's approval

Haru decided to move forward with his plan. He had successfully hidden his trap outside the orphanage the night before, and now he needed to find the dean and attempt to convince her to let him go outside. After a quick search, he located the dean and approached her. The dean greeted him with a smile and asked, "Do you need anything, Haru?" He nodded and responded, "Yes, I would like to go outside." The dean replied, "Of course, you can go with the other children. I'm sure they will be happy to have you join them." Despite the dean's reassurance, he appeared slightly sad and said, "They wouldn't want to go with me. They said that reading is boring." The dean took his hand and led him to a table, asking, "Would you like to go to the library?" He nodded. The dean gave him a pat on the back and continued, "We are all different. Just because they don't find reading fun doesn't mean it's boring. I'm sure you'll find other kids who enjoy reading as much as you do." Haru nodded with a big smile on his face. The dean added, "I can allow you to go to the library, but with one condition. You must come back on time and make sure to eat." Haru thanked the dean and repeatedly promised to be on his best behavior.

As Haru retrieved his trap, he couldn't help but feel happy as his plan could now be set into motion and open the door to success for many of his future ideas. Haru knew that since the day he discovered he was in the Naruto world, he couldn't settle for a normal life. He was aware of what the ninja world had to offer, and he wanted it all. From the very beginning, his goal was clear: he had to become a ninja, and for that, he needed to attend the ninja academy. So, all he had been doing since then was working to increase his chances, and now he felt he was on the right track.

The journey to the lake was not a long one for Haru. Upon arrival, he meticulously surveyed the area before choosing a spot and setting his trap. Although he waited for a catch for a few minutes, as time passed it turned into an hour. Haru remained unfazed as he understood that fishing required patience, and he was not an impatient person. Nonetheless, he still wished he had brought a book to pass the time. After dozing off a few times, Haru decided to attempt meditation as he knew it could help calm him and fill the time. He took deep breaths and attempted to clear his mind of distractions. He failed in his first few attempts. So, he tried a different approach and envisioned himself floating in a serene river surrounded by silence and letting his thoughts flow with the water. This time, he succeeded and felt a peace like never before. Suddenly, he saw numerous light spots of different colors in the air that started to circle around his body. He was uncertain of what they were, so he simply observed them, trying to determine their nature and if they posed any danger. Suddenly, a sound broke him from his trance-like state. He realized it was the sound of fish that had entered the trap. Haru decided to attend to the catch before thinking about what just occurred. He cleaned the fish, built a fire, and grilled it. After eating, he headed back home as the sun was setting.

After returning to the orphanage and finishing dinner, the dean approached Haru and inquired about his visit to the library. He told her some generic response like his surprise at the size of the library and the huge amounts of books it holds, and then they engaged in a few brief conversations. Afterwards, he decided to go back to his room. Once he arrived, he couldn't help but think about the accident that happened earlier.
