More than a year ago, a few days after he met Tyler, Airon asked him to make posts on the internet about conspiracies and join groups that believe the end of the world is coming soon.
These people are usually special and are prepared for any kind of situation that may happen in the future, many right now are living in their shelters prepared long before all the chaos started.
There was a special map, at different points with the exact address that was got by Tyler's amazing skills back then with computers. And it turns out that near Alexandria is a shelter of a man in his forties.
Airon believes that not everyone was able to escape the virus, so probably many of the shelters prepared by this group of people could be inactive right now but others abandoned.
You would be surprised at the things you could find in shelters made by people prepared for any kind of crisis, there was not only food, but also medicine and every item hard to find today.
The modified RV soon arrived at a village where Airon knew there was a shelter, this place was in a place where there were not many people, making it a special place to create a secret shelter.
Airon silently looked at the ruined town and ordered them all to investigate separately. Most of the walkers were gathered in the quarry and Airon right now wants nothing to do with that place. But it should be known that this is the reason why Alexandria and her people can explore this place without many worries.
And when he thinks that Deanna believes that the lack of walkers in this place is due to the successful evacuation of refugees in this part of the country he is amused.
The undead are everywhere, and those walkers will gradually gather due to the horde effect.
It can be said that if the group of Whisperers could adapt to the way of living and walking around Washington DC for now, by the time those pesky people arrive at their door, Airon knows that their strength will not be at all comparable to these insignificant groups.
Everyone, as they naturally do, went to some stores and found no useful products, but Airon wasn't worried, he slowly walked down the street while his eyes surveyed the whole place.
"It should be close..." Airon muttered while holding a piece of paper in his left hand.
Next to a grocery store a structure caught his attention, he walked first to the door of this store that had been open for some time now. As he entered, some footprints could be seen in this place that should have been of many people.
His eyes roamed the empty shelves in front of him, and he moved directly towards the back door of the store. The lock as it was evident was also broken, and there were only a few wooden boards on the floor where the boxes of empty items were piled up.
Daryl wasted no time and watched Airon's back, and Heath along with Aaron followed behind them. As they had been ordered to obey everything they were told, they did not plan to move on their own. They simply took it upon themselves to follow these people, their expressions were somewhat strange, what are they supposed to be doing in this empty place?"
Airon had no intention of sharing what he knew and moved silently. Looking again at the sheet in his hand, he walked through the warehouse and the numerous wooden boards on the floor were so common that many did not pay attention to him. Then after a few minutes his eyes focused on the board behind a tool rack, he reached out to move the boards on the floor that seemed to be fixed.
"It's here, give me a hand."
Airon moved forward without a word and grabbed the corner of a wooden board. Airon then looked at the others who had not moved so far.
Daryl, on the other hand, was not silent and said with some disdain, "What's the matter? Don't you even bother to move your hands?
Heath and the others looked at each other, and finally Eric and Tobin helped Aaron, but Heath moved closer before speaking with some frustration, "We've been in this place for a long time, there's nothing left here that we haven't already taken."
As soon as he finished speaking, Airon violently lifted the board along with help from the others and a black metal lid under the floor swallowed his next words.
A basement!
"Tks!" Daryl glared at the few people around him, then leaned down to help Airon open the iron door.
Crunch! Whack!
With the opening of the door hatch on the ground, dust fell downward. At that moment, a group of people entered through the warehouse door.
"Airon, we didn't find anything!" Glenn said as soon as he walked through the door.
Before he finished speaking, he saw the basement that had just opened, and his face suddenly showed joy. He ran forward, pulled the flashlight out of his pocket and shone it on.
Airon and Daryl also took out their flashlights, and the three of them shone the light into the unfamiliar space coming from the basement, towards a staircase leading down and Airon jumped down without much thought.
Pulling out a gun and shining his flashlight, Airon walked down the hallway and a door not far ahead let him know that there were no survivors in this place.
When he opened the door, Glenn and Daryl along with a few other people had already followed him and faintly saw the boxes on the shelves inside.
A lot of boxes!
Airon signaled Daryl to be on guard, but he decided to put away his gun and pulled out a medium ax to move in this tight place and made his way to the back.
Maggie, who had just followed Glenn, entered along with the others.
The basement is not small at all, and the surrounding walls are full of shelves and with food, this place can feed several people without problems. Airon quickly checked the situation in the basement and found no corpse after walking around.
Some people breathed a sigh of relief, a walker is not scary, but you should pay attention to this kind of dark place, maybe an enemy will jump out of that corner and bite your leg, and if you are lucky, you can quickly cut off an infected limb.
Airon raised his flashlight and looked at the surrounding shelves, and all he saw were boxes of canned food.
Glenn's mouth was wide open and he smiled as he hugged Daryl and was even about to give him a kiss, but before that could happen quickly Daryl pushed him aside.
Airon put a bottle of canned food on the shelf in Glenn's hands and then said calmly, "When I was preparing for what was about to happen, I joined several groups and with non-legal methods I found several shelters like these made by people who believed the world was about to come to an end long before it did."
Aaron and Tobin who entered the basement were shocked by what they were looking at. In all this time he could not find as much food as there was in this place. The knowledge of this man named Airon was simply terrifying.
At this point, they had unknowingly developed some trust in Airon, and Heath and the others looked at each other in dismay. Outside, the others couldn't help but be curious and followed them after they came down. At this point, Heath just felt very embarrassed, being the need to apologize.
Soon, a truck and the modified RV were moved out of this building and everyone started to load the resources towards the vehicles.
And Airon who felt uncomfortable in such an enclosed place decided to go back outside to get a better view of the surroundings.
Heath stood next to him with a complicated expression, but he was pushed by everyone in his group and his purpose was to apologize to Airon.
Heath gritted his teeth and ignored any unnecessary thoughts and echoed Airon: "Airon, I'm sorry for my words earlier, it was my fault I didn't stay silent when I should have."
At this moment, Daryl was carrying a box of canned food between several people, he scoffed again when he heard this and was about to speak sarcastically when Airon raised his hand.
"That's petty stuff buddy, we need to move the food boxes and get back as soon as possible."
Airon looked at Heath and showed that he didn't care much about the words he said a moment ago. All the survivors who belonged to Alexandria looked at each other silently and smiled.
Seeing this, Daryl on the side still snorted a little uncomfortably, and as he walked towards the door of the RV, Tyreese's voice rang out behind him.
"The a big man!"
Nodding silently, Daryl finally stopped talking and continued moving things around.
Many people around saw this scene. It could be said that Airon didn't do anything, but it made in a short time for everyone to look at him with a little more confidence.
At this moment, Airon had no time to think about these things, his eyes were fixed around the convoy and according to his previous experience, it would at least attract dozens or even hundreds of walkers, but now that there began to be movements in this place it would take time to complete carrying the load.
Looking at the empty streets on either side, Airon frowned, were there really no walkers in this place because the quarry was still sealed or was it some other factor such as people?
