(AN:This chapter seems short and I would've posted this one together with the other one I posted yesterday but I decided to cut it in half due to it being to long)
Like father like son, Luke was doing the same thing Phil did to Will as this time it was Luke sticking out his hand
Luke:"Truce?"
Phil:"Yeah. Sorry."
Will:"Im sorry yelling at you Phil, I think I got emotional like Luke when you lost the robot"
Phil:"I didn't lose the robot ,and second, why were you yelling?"
Will:"Well, it just reminded me when my dad would always take things for granted because he could always get it again but….not me, I…always treasure things that are given to me or are things that can't be replaced…I…know how it feels…"
Phil and Luke hugged Will from the side as they smiled.
Phil:"Donnt worry buddy, I get what your saying"
Luke:"…I still want my robot back"
After that moment, We go back to our scene with Haley driving her mom minivan with the DMV instructor beside her.
DMV:"All right, left turn."
Haley:"Here?"
DMV:"At the intersection, yeah."
Haley:"Okay"
Haley accidentally by the stress turned on her right signal
DMV:"Left."
Haley:"What?"
DMV:"I said left.You're going right."
Haley:"Wait. No, wait.I'm trying, okay?"
DMV:"Pull over."
Haley:"No, I can do this!"
DMV:"Pull over now."
Parking to the side of the road, Haley sniffled with single tears started to fall down her cheeks as the instructor huffed out and looked at Haley.
DMV:"Why are you crying?"
Haley:"Why do you hate me?"
DMV:"Oh, hell.Haley, I don't hate you.You seem like a nice girl.You remind me of my daughter. Which is why I want you to live a long and happy life...and be safe and not hurt my daughter."
Haley:"I really want my license.I've been practicing a lot,I swear."
The instructor looked at her with his clipboard in hand and the pen in his other.
DMV:"You gonna drink and drive?"
Haley:"No, sir."
DMV:"You gonna text and drive?"
Haley:"No, sir."
DMV:"All right. Let's start this from the beginning."
Haley:"Could you smile first?I'll be less nervous if you smile."
With a creepy smile, the instructor looked at haley who just dropped down her own smile with a couple of sniffles
Haley:"Okay, that didn't help."
DMV:"Just go."
Huffing out, Haley smiled and started to take deep calm breaths as she started her test, again. Claire and Alex were waiting in front of the building, sitting on a steel bench.
Claire:"What's taking them so long?"
Alex:"I don't know."
Claire:"The only reason I'm not panicking is I haven't seen a giant geyser."
Alex hummed with her hands in her sleeveless jacket as she looked out into the distance
Claire:"You know, honey, I think I know why you don't wanna go even if Will didn't ask you"
Alex:"Because school dances are lame?"
Claire:"No.'Cause you don't know how to dance."
Alex:"That's not it."
Claire:"I can help you with that. Come on. Come on."
Alex:"Oh, God, no. No, Mom."
Claire:"Oh, yeah. Back in the day,I was quite the dancer."
Alex:"Oh, my God.You and Dad together suddenly makes so much sense."
Claire was humming and dancing in front of the building, with people obviously looking at them as Alex awkwardly chuckled and stopped her mom
Alex:"Mom. Mom, stop. Stop.Please, stop. I know how to dance.I just don't wanna be
part of that freak show."
Claire:"Sweetheart, you're a beautiful girl. Will wouldn't be with anyone else"
Alex:"I know that.It's just stupid.
Claire:"Will wouldn't want anyone else"
Alex:"I know he told me…countless times"
Claire:"Will wouldn't want anyone else"
Alex:"I know it's just….the attention. I get nervous and make a fool out of myself, embarrassing me and Will. Sometimes I act like I don't but I do, I do hear their snarls and how Will could do so much better"
She sulked down as Claire put her hands on her shoulders.
Claire:"Honey, you are my daughter and I tell you that you are beautiful and all these things and you may not believe them because it's what all parents tell their kids but now that Will has entered your life, you must realize that what I have said is true right?"
Alex had a small smile and looked up as her eyes were glossy.
Claire:"Just do the exact same thing I told your sister, okay?Take three deep breaths and relax."
Alex:"Even the advice I get is a hand-me down."
Scoffing and Claire ruining the moment, Alex simply shook her head as a car horn was beeping at them. They turned to see Haley getting out of her car with a set of papers and the biggest smile she had.
Haley:"Mom, I did it!I passed!"
Alex:"Oh!"
Claire:"Oh, my God!"
Haley:"I got my license!"
Claire:"Congratulations!"
Haley:"I have my license!I got my license!"
Claire:"Car's not in "park.""
Haley:"Oh. Oops."
Haley was distracted by her fantasy of finally driving alone that she forgot to put the car in park when she got out of it.
Claire:"You better run to that counter.Go. Right now."
Alex:"Run! Run!"
The instructor looked at them with a blank stare.
Claire:"My daughter is dating a billionaire"
Claire pushed Haley from the back as she sheepishly smiled while lovely hugging Alex from behind, with the instructor staring at them and shaking his head. Alex nervously chuckled and denied it.With that ending in Haley's victory and Alex talk with her mother.
We come back to the Dunphy house to see Luke kneeling down on one side of the hole while Will was on the other side, shaking his head at Phil.
Luke:"Still can't believe you lost my robot."
Phil:"It's gone, buddy. Let it go.You know, maybe it's better we don't solve this little mystery.Sometimes treasure's more sparkly in your imagination."
Will:"Yeah,it could just be cob webs or old VHS tapes"
Luke:"…Or it could be gold"
Phil:"or baseball cards"
Will:"Maybe even pirate maps."
Luke:"Do you really think there could be pirate maps under there?"
Will:"I'm a hundred percent sure it's possible. I mean this land could've been colonized by pirates and we just don't know"
Luke:"All right.I'm going in."
Both:"What?"
Luke started hyperventilating as he dived into the whole with Phil and Will looking at each other.
Will:"What do you see?"
Luke:"Nothing.It's really dark in here.Wait a minute. I think I see my robot.It's right over there by the- Uh-oh."
Phil:"What?"
Luke:"I think I'm stuck."
Will:"How are you stuck?"
Luke:"My belt loop got caught on a pipe.And it's hot."
Phil:"Have you tried wiggling?"
Luke:"Dad, it's hot! Hurry!"
Phil:"I'm coming, buddy!"
Luke:"And hurry.There's spiders in here."
Phil:"Oh!"
Phil was contemplating about his decision as Will looked at him
Will:"Well?! Go!"
Phil:"Don't rush me!"
Will:"Oh for god sake, hang on Luke!"
Diving in with his clothes that he came here from school, he didn't get any of the big work clothes that Phil and Luke were wearing because there wasn't any his size
Phil:"I'm Coming to!Hold on, buddy."
He arrived to see Will with dirt all around him with cobwebs in his hair as he got there to unjam Luke because Will was grabbing onto Luke from behind as he kept the steaming hot part of a pipe from burning through his side
—Commentary—-
Phil:"My boy was in trouble,so I put my fears aside,and I came to his rescue.Now, does that make me a hero?Yes, it does."
Out of nowhere Will comes into the room while holding hands with Alex
Will:"I think you had to because you couldn't let Luke see a 13 year old kid show up his own dad right?"
Phil just stared at the camera as he huffed out
Phil:"But I put my fears away so"
He started to stand up straight as he puffed out his chest and looked at Will who chuckled and ran outside
Alex:"Will! Will!, ugh, thanks a lot dad"
She left with Phil sitting back down on the couch and chuckling.
Phil:"And that's how you show dominance…to a…13 year old kid…."
The camera zoomed into Phil face who had a solemn look once realizing that did nothing to better his life.

Phil:"Everything's gonna be okay.Hey. Everything's gonna be okay."
Luke was groaning out as Phil finally unhooked his belt from the pipe
Phil:"There."
Luke:"Thanks, Dad. Thanks Will"
Will:"That's what friends do"
Phil:"Yeah, that's what friends and dads do. Now,Let's get out of here."
Luke:"I want my robot."
Phil:"Really?"
Luke:"It was a Christmas gift.Could you go get it?"
Phil:"Yeah. Yeah."
Will:"I'm gonna go back out, not enough room for three people here"
Phil agreed as Luke once again, thanked him with Will ruffling his hair and going back outside.
Will:"I can see the light!"
Phil and Luke looked at each other as they heard Will scream that with a chuckle as they shrugged and moved forward to rescue the robot that Luke liked so much.
They grunted and moved up by using their hands and elbows as Phil finally got to it and laughed in celebrations with Luke
Phil:"We did it.Whoo-hoo! Yeah!"
Luke:"We're under the house."
Phil:"What the heck.We're down here.Why don't we see what we got, huh?"
Luke nodded as Phil started to point the camera with the little antenna lights forward .
Phil:"Two intrepid explorers...make their way on a journey-"
They Both Scream when the light showed two skulls and some bones covered in dirt. They thrashed around as Will got confused and poked his head through but Luke pushed his head as he got pushed by Phil, when they were coming out.
Luke was the first to get out as he screamed 'dead bodies' while running into the house with Phil right behind him
Phil:"Don't leave me buddy!Will call the cops!"
Will didn't get the chance to ask questions as Phil closed the door once he got in
—-Commentary——
Phil and Will were sitting on the couch as they both were acting awkward
Phil:"So,We called the police and got a bunch of detectives over.Turns out it was the last owner's Halloween decorations,which is pretty funny.Least I thought it was. What do you say Will?"
Will:"Well I thought it was-"
Claire came in with her hands on her hips and Luke right behind her with a teddy bear and pajamas
Will:"Absolutely not funny!, I think we should consider getting therapy for Luke"
Phil nodded rather quickly as she only scoffed and went away with Luke. Will cleared his throat as they faced the camera back again
Phil:"Everybody's afraid of something, right Heights, clowns, tight spaces.Those are things you get over.But then there's our children. Will they fit in? Will they be safe?Those are fears you never get past.So sometimes all you can do...is take a deep breath,pull 'em close...and hope for the best."
Will closed his eyes and nodded as Phil turned to him, clearing his throat
Will:"What?"
Phil:"Well I thought you were gonna say "No it's alright phil, i got your back"
Will:"Oh right!, I just thought you wanted this moment alone to make yourself think about how you can redeem yourself to Luke"
Phil:"Why do I need to do that?"
Will:"Because…."
He was cut off by Phil getting hit by a pillow to the face as they turned to the left and saw Luke there with his arms crossed
Luke:"Oops, I guess I just threw it by accident"
And with that, he walked off as Phil gulped done while looking at Will
Phil:"Yeah….any chance you can build another robot for Luke? Kinda threw it to the side when we were escaping…."
Will:"At beast one full month"
Phil:"Make that two"

After a few hours, the sun started to get low as the girls came back with Haley practically giggling at everything. She was happy as well as her mom.
When they got there, they saw police officers and detectives leaving, making them confused.
After Phil and Will explaining the whole thing, Claire just shook her head and took a deep breath as she knew she couldn't leave her boys alone. Alex just laughed with Haley just bubbling with excitement.
Will exchanged goodbyes with everyone and hugged Alex as he wanted to change for the dance that Alex was no more nervous about.
