章節 25: ~Loyalty~
Yu Chani took Huno and Su Qing to the headquarters. The headquarter was an enormous building several times bigger than the last shop. They went through the shop and came out the back. The door leading to the back had a sign 'workers and family members only'. After passing the door, they came out the back only for Huno to see a huge fence wall. The fence wall had a small gate in it. At the gate there was a low rank True realm sitting there. The man greeted, 'senior sister,'. Yu Chani nodded and went through the gate with Huno and Su Qing.
A huge compound came into Huno's view. He guessed that the place was bigger than four acres of land. Yu Chani led the way and after crossing several buildings and courtyards, they arrived at the edge of the centre. In front of them was a small fenced area. Yu Chani passed through the gate and let them in.
'What do you think, Huno?' she asked. 'If it's not to your liking, I can show you somewhere else,' she added.
'It's okay, I just hope we won't be disturbed?' Huno said.
'In line with our business, even the elders and patriarch of my family will not disturb you,' Yu Chani replied.
'How can you guarantee that?' Huno asked.
'I am currently the seventh elder of the family. I hope that is enough assurance. Only I and junior sister Su will step in here,' she replied.
'That's good,' Huno said.
'I'll go talk with the elders and patriarch to enlighten them of your presence and then prepare the four guards to head here right away,' she said added, 'little sister will come back with the guards and storage ring to collect the stones,'.
'Alright,' Huno said and walked in to the building.
Yu Chani and Su Qing left, not wanting to disturb and locked the gate behind them. Huno brought everyone out and several baskets of stones.
'What if this turns out to be a trap?' Lee Wei asked.
'Then we face it head on. For now, take the artifacts and familiarize yourself with it, then continue to cultivate. Junior sister, how far are you from the high rank?' Huno asked.
'Just two openings away, but even though that won't help much if they decide to attack us, they have at least eight peak ranks here,' Xue Li said.
'Let's just relax and be positive. I'm at the high rank foundation realm now. If something bad happens, Luna can force herself into the legendary realm and we can escape at the least,' Huno replied.
'Alright, there's a saying never enter the tiger's den without an escape plan. Since we have one, then we don't have to worry,' Lee Wei said.
'For now, everyone be in top shape, read to react, we'll force our way out of something comes up,' Huno said, picked a basket and sat down. Lee Wei and Xue Li picked a basket and sat down too. Luna dragged Ma Lie out to play. To her, Ma Lie was the only one she could disturb to play with. Ma Lie didn't mind. He was happy knowing that even though Luna changed in size, her childlike behavior didn't.
~Four Hours Later~
There was a knock at the gate, and Luna went to answer. When she opened she saw six people, four women and two men. Two of the women were Yu Chani and Su Qing. 'Oh, it's you guys, come in,' Luna said and stepped out of the way. 'Thank you, senior,' both replied immediately. 'We have seen the senior,' the four greeted.
'You two stop calling me senior. My husband sees you as a friend. If you call me senior, you will place me higher than him,' Luna said, and closed the gate after the last person.
She turned over to Ma Lie and said loudly, 'Senior brother Ma Lie please tell senior brother he has guests,'. Ma Lie gave her a thumbs up and ran into the building. Everyone was shocked. The four people brought by Yu Chani and Su Qing were confused. According to what they were told, they were serving a couple, a young man with white hair at the high rank foundation realm and a young lady also with white hair at the peak True realm that can hide her realm completely. They didn't believe but seeing the young lady with no cultivation realm they had to, but now that young lady called a teenager who was just at the high rank foundation realm senior brother. But wait a teenager is at the high rank, the boy looked not over twelve to fourteen years. If he was in this realm at this age, what realm will he be in when he is older? What talents are here? They wondered.
Soon four people stepped out of the building, the young boy who stepped in, a young man and young lady who were hand in hand and a white-haired young man who looked eighteen. Each of them except the young boy was wearing a white mask.
'You are back soon. What was the decision from the elders?' the white-haired young man asked. 'Huno, they're pleased with the negotiations we had and are looking forward to it. They even requested me to tell you. Please, if you have any more business, they are more than ready to deal with you,' Yu Chani replied.
'That's good to hear,' Huno said.
'These are the four guards you purchased as of today. They are no longer under the Twilight family, they are now members of the Ochiro family,' Yu Chani said.
'We have seen the master,' the four guards greeted immediately.
'Correction, it's the Leechiro family,' Huno said and looked at Luna, 'madam,' he called out.
'Very well, domain,' Luna, who no one knew when she got to Yu Chani's side, said.
Immediately the air ten meters around her became extremely cold, the energy level in Luna's body rose quickly until it reached the peak True realm. Huno kept both hands behind him, baring the pain in his left arm.
Confused on what was going on, Yu Chani was slow to react and Luna grabbed her by the neck slowly increased her grip. Cold energy heavily and aggressively flowed into Yu Chani's body, disrupting the flow of her Qi energy.
There were four loud hissing sound like a sword swung in the air, when Yu Chani looked back from the corner of her eyes she saw the four people she brought had moved. They were beside Luna, while one attacked Luna, three stood in between protecting her. Luna let go of Yu Chani and took back her domain. Immediately, the man who attacked and the other three who defended realized they were being tested.
'I see,' Yu Chani also understood.
'Sorry sister Yu,' Luna said, holding her hand and retrieving the cold energy.
'Yu'er I apologize for the awkward situation, please forgive me,' Huno said.
'It's alright, let me know next time. I almost reacted with a last result attack. Madam may have gotten seriously hurt,' Yu Chani.
'Understood, (he turned to the three) You did well,' Huno said. The three cupped their fist and bowed their head a little.
Huno turned to the man who attacked. The man cupped his hands and said, 'Please forgive me,'.
'Your loyalty is commendable, that I can say. I hope that loyalty will be to me and my family, if that can't happen, please leave right now cause my wife has trust issues, once she noticed the slightest bit of betrayal or disloyalty I can say you are as good as dead,' Huno said.
'I promise, sir,' the man said. Everyone felt Luna's energy drop until it was nothing. Immediately they had cold sweat. The woman was a threat in disguise of nothing.
'Your punishments, from today you will have the lowest ranking in this family and hand over your sword artifact. (he turned to look at the other three). Madame will decide your ranking however she sees fit,' Huno said.
'I'll leave them to you, sister Yu'er come with for the payment,' he added and turned.
