He only used a Spinning Moon Dragon Tail to make his way towards Itachi while Kisame only created more water clones to cover him from Kushina and Kakashi's attacks, and then headed towards Itachi.

Before the furious look of Kakashi and Kushina who began to fight with more force against Kisame's clones, managing to defeat them taking advantage of the fact that the water clones became weaker.
