"Ugh. I just bought these boots." Ava groaned in dissatisfaction as she accidentally stepped on a pool of blood.
"Don't worry. With some hydrogen peroxide and clean clothes, the blood will get right out." Hiddle said as he stepped over a hydra goon corpse to approach Ava.
"But still…It costs 1 month's salary!" Ava whined, causing Hiddle to chuckle at her. She didn't even care about the blood stains on her white clothes, but staining the boots bothered her very much.
"Aren't you going to throw that away?" Hiddle asked, pointing at Ava's hand. She realised that she still had a hydra goon's heart on her hand as she ripped it off the unfortunate person's body.
"Ew.." She calmly threw the beating heart to the side. Hiddle took off his bloody gloves and patted the small girl on her head. "I will teach you how to keep clean in a battle later."
Ava nodded in excitement. "How are we going to get home?" She asked. Her question answered itself as a circular orange spark started to appear in front of them.
As Hiddle and Ava took easy steps in clearing out the Hydra inside Dana's mansion in Curacao island, Stephanie Malik and Vis were inside the Knight's family mansion in Long Island, New York.
"Urgh. Can't believe him." Stephania muttered in dissatisfaction as she held the sleeping Vis in her arms. The toddler was sleeping soundly with his head on his mother's shoulder, unbothered by the sounds of people conversing.
"What are you mad about? Be more specific. Is it the fact that he went to endanger himself and align himself with suspicious individuals, or the fact that he left you here behind?"
Ryan smirked and pushed Dana deeper into his troubles. He picked up Stephanie and Vis using a portal as the teleportation may cause the kid to feel unwell. Although surprised, Stephanie walked through the portal willingly because she trusted Ryan.
"Neither. I just don't want him to keep anything from me." Stephanie replied and let out a long sigh. "I don't even care if he kills my dad. I want to put a bullet in that bastard's head myself if I can."
Ryan was amused when he saw how easily Stephanie talked about murdering her own father.
Granted her dad was a Hydra head, but Stephanie never had any problem with that. What bothered him about her dad was the fact that he tried to kill her family, the ones that she loves, just for the sake of his pride.
"When he gets back, he will get punished," Stephanie smiled ruthlessly.
"With leather boots and a whip?" Ryan teased.
Stephanie widened her eyes. "How do you know?!"
It was Ryan's turn to be speechless.
-Hydra hidden base, Argentina-
"The whole place is going to blow." Silvija said in a calm tone. "Meet me at my location."
She sent out her location inside the base toward her team members and the Chameleon.
"Shouldn't we go outside?" Chen, the racially ambiguous assassin asked. She was the first one to reach Silvija's location as she was the nearest.
"They flooded the entrance using the river water. The other exit was locked by a 20-centimetre-thick steel door. Given the time, I may be able to open it. But time isn't on our side."
"What should we do now?" Chen asked. "If I am dying here, there is no way I'm going to the afterlife without getting to kiss you." Chen lunged at Silvija but was met with a punch in her nose.
"Owww." She rubbed her nose while crouching at the side.
"Battlestar. Where are you?" Silvija asked using the earpiece.
"I have some troubles." Battlestar replied and punched the hydra goons in front of him. "Had..some troubles. I will be there in 20 seconds."
"Hurry." Silvija said, her tone was still calm.
"Dana. Where are you?" She asked.
"Behind you." Dana replied, causing Chen to flinch. "You scared me." The assassin said.
"Sorry. Cat feet. No sound in walking." Dana replied and approached the group. Suddenly, Silvija aimed her rifle at Dana's direction while Chen took out her daggers.
"Wait!" Dana said. "That's my brother."
Kraven walked out from the shadows as he followed Dana from behind.
"Brother?" Silvija asked while she studied Kraven's facial features. She didn't find the similarities between them, but then again, Dana always changes his face.
"Well. Half brother. He's fine. Don't worry." Dana said in a reassuring tone. Kraven wasn't helping him though.
"HAHAHA! Even if you aren't fine with it, what can you do?"
"I can put a bullet in your head." Silvija replied with a poker face.
"I want to see you try-" Before Kraven could pick up his spear , Dana slapped the back of his head.
"Calm down dude. Did you spend all the time in the jungle that you forgot about manners? …Not like you had any before you went in." Dana said mockingly. He turned to Silvija and introduced, " Silvija, Kraven. Kraven, Silvija."
"I know who he is." Silvija said, not lowering her gun.
"Oh, are you a fan of mine? Want my autograph?" Kraven asked, visibly excited as he thought his Youtube videos had gained traction. Although he only has 1000 subscribers after trying for 6 months, he's confident that he will be famous one day.
"No, I'm not your fan. But I know you. I sent an invitation to you, remember?"
Kraven scoffed and lost his interest. "Silver Sable mercenaries or something? Sorry, but my skills are wasted on you startups."
Dana turned to his brother and shook his head in pity. 'If only he knew who is behind the so-called startup.'
Silvija smirked at Kraven's reply and didn't pursue the matter. Battlestar arrived at their location soon after and regrouped with the rest of the team.
"What are we going to do boss?" Battlestar asked, he has full confidence in his boss.
"We're going to wait." Silvija replied with a sly smile. "And also get to the upper floors."
A schematic of the entire base appeared on her holographic watch she gets from her sponsors. All of the building's crucial infrastructure was laid bare by the watch and the team moved toward the place they needed to go to unobstructed.
-AOS Team. The Bus-
"We're here." Melinda May said as they disembark the mobile base. She equipped a shield black combat suit and two guns loaded with icer bullets in her waist.
Unlike the previous combat suit which were just clothes, Ryan's microweave technology allowed him to create clothes from the best metals in the world. Although the agent issued clothes weren't made of vibraniums, it could allow the agents to survive a direct grenade explosion unscathed.
Even Phil Coulson's tuxedo was made of this technology.
"Fitz. Simmons. Stays on the bus. Keep the communication clear-"
Before Phil Coulson could finish his briefing and bring Skye and May toward the base, the vibrations of the earth distracted him.
"What the-" He exclaimed, his pupils shook when he watched the sight in front of him.
The entire base started to crumble like an implosion, causing the surrounding soils to be pushed, almost causing a landslide. Trees fell, rocks were flying everywhere. Coulson activated the watch on his hand, putting up a transparent energy shield that protected him and his agents from the flying debris.
"Fitz." He called out.
Automatically, Fitz took out his tablet and started to study the situation. "There is a minute trace of jet fuel leaving the area. The explosion covered up the entire base, leaving nothing left."
"Do you know what caused the explosion?" Phil asked.
"I- I need more data." Fitz replied.
"What's that?" Skye stared at the broken debris with a piercing glare. She saw a circular shield with a hexagonal pattern on it, vibrating gently to remove the debris on top of it. Soon after that, the debris was all removed, revealing the group of mercenaries inside.
"Talk about a scare." Battlestar exclaimed with a heavy breath. Chen checked her panties, and found out that she had peed a little bit. It wasn't an overreaction for them as Silvija waited until the roof was almost on top of them before she activated the absolute shield that Ryan had provided her.
As a royalty of Symkaria, and also its true leader now, Ryan had to give extra protection to Silvija – which she greatly appreciated.
"Oh. Hi?" Dana found the other group as the dust cleared. He waved at them awkwardly but still keeping his guard up.
Phil: ….
The atmosphere becomes tense immediately – not for Silvija or Coulson as they knew each other, but the rest of their team members don't.
In the split second, Kraven studied the opponent on the other side. His jungle instinct was telling him that the young asian girl was the most dangerous one in the group. He sprinted toward Skye and thrusted his spear forward.
Before Phil Coulson could give his orders, Skye responded automatically and moved toward the hunter. She grabbed the spear and used Kraven's momentum against him to swing him toward the ground.
Kraven managed to land his legs first, and used one leg to kick at Skye while she was holding the spear with one hand. However, the muzzle of her gun was already at his forehead.
BANG!
Skye shot Kraven's forehead in front of the entire group of people there. He fell lifelessly on the ground.
Dana's eyes shook and he reached for his gun immediately. "Wait. She didn't kill him. Only stunned him." Silvija said quickly.
"What?.." Dana took a closer look and realised that the one in front of them was SHIELD. "AH. You're SKYE!" Dana yelled out excitedly. He recognized her from his missions as Ryan's body double before this.
Skye tilted her head in confusion. "You know me?"
"Skye. Come back." Phil Coulson said as he approached Silvija.
"Nice to meet you again, King of Symkaria." Phil said.
"Likewise, Phil Coulson, level 8 agent of SHIELD."
Sparks almost come out from their eye contact as two organisations Ryan helped built felt the competitive spirit to prove one was better than the others.
…
The only member of the Avengers who wasn't in the battle was actually in Puerto Rico – monitoring the situation around Kree City.
"So. The obelisk is with Gideon Malik and Raina." Kai muttered as he flew invisibly in the sky. He used his chameleon companion beast to get his invisibility so that he won't be detected by any technological means.
Obelisk – Item that contains the terrigen mist. It could only be activated in Kree city and only be wielded by the Inhumans or the Kree.
"The monolith is kept by Gideon Malik in Stuttgard Germany, in Baron Strucker's vault. He only has 3 out of 5 keys though." Kai muttered. One key – a part of the monolith needed for its activation was kept by 5 hydra heads each.
Strucker's key was already in Gideon Malik's hand as Strucker was dead. But Malik hasn't claimed it yet.
"The only lost key is Whitehall's key, which is actually at Ryan's hand." Kai said as he analysed the situation.
"So I guess Ryan wants to go to Maveth himself."
Kai scanned the entire city using Ryan's new magicraft scanner and prepared himself for Gideon Malik's arrival. "Not that I need to do much." He muttered. He took a bite of his apples and continued waiting for the incident to happen.
He landed on the Kree City entrance and could feel his lifeforce being sucked in by the city. The ancient city rejected beings other than the Kree and would kill them if they got near.
However, Kai waltzed around the city in ease. The trap that could kill every other human didn't mean much when facing him.
The Agents of SHIELD team had come to an agreement with the Silver Sable mercenaries and would allow them to board the ship as they move toward Puerto Rico.
Fitz was following the trail of the stealth Quinjet as it used a different fuel source than the other jets. Ryan already changed the fuel source of SHIELD issued Quinjets when he became the director.
Following closely behind, the agents and the mercenaries will arrive around the same time Gideon Malik's team arrive.
