章節 36: Chapter 36: Green Man Shadow

The days went by quickly until the elf had managed to get the rest of the regrowth potion. He gives them all to the rest of the widows, and Yelena got 2. One for her sister as she requested.

"Thank you very much. I'll guard this with all my heart!" Yelena said in enthusiasm. The elf nods seeing the young girl vowing to herself. "It's not rare, so if by any chance you lost it, I will give you a new one"

The elf thought that the ex-widows would leave the island after that, but something peculiar happened instead.

The widows took the potion one per day. So only one person regrows their organs per day. If this continues, it will be 100 day before all of them get back what they lost.

At the Great Hall, before having dinner together, the elf went behind the podium and cast a sonorous spell.

"Kids, I know that Psyduck is a little slow and it's fun to tease the duck, but please don't pluck his feathers. He has been whining about it all day." The elf says in exhaustion. Even with the Droid, taking care of this many children is a task.

"Those who did it, apologize to the duck, before you do, you will get punished."

The elf's announcement makes the kids fear.

"Will you kick us out?"a kid who did it asked in fright. The elf turns to the kid who asks, and says" Worse". He snaps his finger.

All the food that is served to these mischievous kids are turned into vegetables. All the desert, candy, cakes, all of them turned into vegetable dishes.

These kids are from red room training facilities, they are used to eating disgusting food. But after a month of eating whatever they wanted, to get back into previous routine is torture for them.

"I'll apologise, I want cake!", a 6 year old girl wanted to run from the great hall, to search for Psyduck. But the elf stops her and says "Okay, I trust you to apologise , you can go there after finishing dinner."

"Noo, I want to go now" They are in tears. There is no escape for them. They had to eat all the veggies today. Some try to be clever and take cake from their friends, but as soon as they bring it to their mouth, it turns into a veggie.

The elf amused himself by watching the kids' misery. He continues talking.

"After dinner, all the older ones please stay for a while".

For those the announcements intended for eats in a complicated mood. They are anxious if the elf is gonna confront them about what they are doing. The kids ran away to find Psyduck after dinner. The older ones stayed in the hall.

"Now that you folk got back what you lost, I don't think I can call you widows anymore to differentiate you and the kids. Could you find a name for yourself to make it easier?"

The elf request calms down the heart of the people there, an older representative then replies to the Deer God. " We will do that after discussing it. "

They thought it was over, but sike.

" I also want to ask, why did you take the potion one by one? The Droid could take care of you all at once ,instead of one a day."

The group is silent for a while. "The Deer God does want to ask that question." Annika, who is the biggest believer, tries to explain themselves to the Deer God.

" If we are done, then we need to leave, right? " She said in fear of leaving the island.

The elf finally understands what is going on.

"Yes, you do need to leave, but you can take your time, you guys get the same offer as the kids."

The widows are brightened up. Annika says "Could we stay and not leave?". She has gathered all her courage to ask that. Her heart is beating wildly while waiting for the answer.

The elf took some time to think, it actually doesn't matter for them to stay, but he will bring some dangerous being here in the future to complete his other quest. A special quest that is the last of the seventh quest he picks.

The widows thought that his silence meant they couldn't stay. This island is a safe place. They could do whatever they wanted here.

Want new clothes? There are clothes synthesisers that only need to show the design to the Red Queen.

Want to eat? Just come to the great Hall anytime to ask. The house is big, there's many activities all around the island.

And most important of all, the Deer God had never once asked them anything. They don't need to pay with their bodies, they don't need to kill people to do it.

The Deer God even provided therapy, so that all the brainwashing they get is undone. They can sleep in peace now, without a gun under the pillow, fearing the life they have before will come to them.

" Like I said before, the island isn't for humans." The elf said again,but he is torn this time.

Annika cries and pleads "but we will forget the island right! After we leave, we will forget everything." She doesn't want to forget the island. She especially doesn't want to forget the kind god.

The elf sighed and blamed his soft heart for what he's going to do next. " What if you can come back? "

The sad widows get a glimmer of hope." What do you mean?"

The elf explained "Not only you guys want to stay, but many of the kids are too."

"But the longer you stay here, the more you will be detached from the human world. So I will make you an offer. I can appoint some of you as a secret keeper."

"So that you can come back to the island. I also won't erase your memory, you can keep all of it. "

The widows know that there is a condition attached, so they asked first," What do you need us to do? "

All of them looked at the elf with hope. They didn't want to be exploited anymore. " If I need to return to my old life in order to stay here, will I do it? Or will I leave?"

The question brews in their mind. Will they or won't they? But the elf has no intention for them to do that in the first place.

The masked Deer God said something different from what they were thinking instead.

"I need you to bring the kids to school.Become their guardian in the outside world."

This is what the elf is going to do. The kids and the widows want to stay, they can, but they need to alternate between here and the human society.

He thinks that once they get friend, a stable life out there, they won't come back.

The elf explains to the widows his thinking, "You can alternate the day of coming back to the island. Or after school is over, you can come back."

"How do we come back?"

The elf took out a key chain and a ring. "Using these", the key chain is a portkey, the ring embedded with a mana stone. They only needed to touch the key chain with the ring to activate it.

The widows discussed for a while before agreeing. If they need help from the deer god, they could just return back to the island.

The elf says one last thing before leaving. "You can start to alternate in 2009, you can live freely until then".

The main body in Brooklyn, Ryan sighes endlessly. He didn't expect it to happen.

"Thank god the elf body has a extremely low sexual lust. It's not like the girls there care if they walk around without clothes."

Sure, he could lead them into an organisation under him, but he didn't really need it. After he broke into Shield and Hydra, he didn't really have to worry about his actions.

And also, if he needed to make trouble for someone, just randomly the evidence would pop up in the Shield database, and they would get bitten without even knowing why.

Gwen's research on the immune system has greatly helped cure various diseases in the world. But the consequences is that he couldn't see her as much as he used to. " I miss her"

Even though she will come home, it's usually late at night. He spent the night drawing some animation so he is home early.

With the plots coming out, he's anxious everyday, and couldn't focus if he wanted to do anything. So he just sits at home tinkering with some simple stuff.

"Based on the military movement, it seems like the next plot will be the hulk. I expect Iron man comes first, he'd be sure to intervene in the monster fight." Ryan is in deep thought.

"It seems like the timeline is different from the canon. Hopefully not by much."

He didn't want to interfere with the monster fight,but he couldn't just turn a blind eye to it. "I won't care if the casualties are only military, but some citizens are also caught up in the fight."

"What can I do? What can I do?" He paces back and forth in the living room. He doesn't really have a solution yet. He couldn't shut down Harlem indefinitely now can he?

Gwen comes back late at night from the company, then she sees that Ryan is looking anxious.

" What's going on? Why are you thinking so deeply?" She puts down her bag and walks up to him. "Did something happen?" she asked while holding his hand.

Ryan snaps out of his thoughts, looking at Gwen's beautiful face. He fixes Gwen's stray hair behind her ears. "Just thinking about the next plot".

"What are you working on now? Naruto again?" Gwen asked while calming down her heart.

Ryan always thinks too deeply. Something it's about a simple thing on where or what to eat today, or something major like the military movement, or some political plans. She will never know until she asks.

" A new stuff, the MC is a guy who works in the shadows. But I don't know how a shadow could save civilians publicly if he knows a mess is going to happen."

Gwen always comes out with some creative thinking if he's in a loop or a dead end, but he had to disguise it as a movie idea or new story though.

"Doesn't the MC have some friend he could delegate to? " Gwen confirmed several things while trying some solutions. She tries to think, but Ryan said.

"You must be tired, let me make you some dinner first. Meanwhile you go take a relaxing bath". She just got back home, his problem can wait. She kisses his cheek, "We're gonna figure it out after"

After her late dinner, they sit on the couch, watching a TV show while cuddling. They talk while the sound of the show becomes background noise.

"If he delegates, the people will get suspicious of him. I need to make some event or incident that doesn't have any connection to the plot, so that the civilians may be saved."

"That's a tough one," Gwen said. She offered some of her insight though. While talking, Ryan notices how she massages her neck a few times. "Come here, let me massage it for you". Gwen didn't shy away, and let him do it.

"I have bought elementary massaging before, but I think this is the first time I will use it"

"Ahn~", she moans unconsciously. "How are you so good at massaging?" She enjoyed it greatly,and is a little heated up. He massages her for a while, from her neck, to her back, her arm, her waist and legs.

Gwen keeps squirming during the massages. When Ryan's done, Gwen said, "Wait, you forget one more place", then she jumped on Ryan. "the special place that could only be reaches by.... " The rest of the night is omitted.
