"Good memories," he said to himself before turning away from Zero and facing the gate.

"Will I be able to leave this place?" Zero asked when she reached Alex.

It was not like she was eager to go out or anything, but it was just not like before when she did not have to worry about being alone since she was always in Alex's mind and did not even know what being bored was. She did not know whether things would still be the same as they used to be after Alex left, she did not want to be left all alone in this big place with no company.
