Tristan looked in Whifler's direction. Whifler shook his head at him, signaling him to not fuel the fire.

He also didn't want this to prolong, hence, he walked away without saying a single word. Before they could stop and question him, he got his stuff and left the house immediately.

When he was about to get into the car, Tanya stopped him as she caught up from his pace.

Tristan looked at her in confusion. "What?"

"Where are you going?" Tanya slowly stepped closer.

Tristan looked away and opened his car's door. "Just here and there."

As soon as he got into the car, he started the engine and glanced at Tanya— giving her a don't-ask-anymore look— before he drove away.

Tanya was left dumbfounded at the same time confused. 'Goodness, Tristan. What are you trying to do again?'

"Did he leave?"

Tanya turned around in Whifler's direction as he spoke. She averted her gaze with worry written on her face. "Yes."

Whifler nodded. "Let him be. Let's go back inside."
