That gave Arpious the opening she needed. She closed the distance in a blur, her speed unmatched. As the drake flailed blindly, she leaped into the air, her sword raised high. With a fierce cry, she brought the blade down with both hands, driving it deep into the drake's skull. The light magic from Elara's flash still lingered, burning at the drake's eyes, further weakening it.

The drake collapsed under the weight of the combined assault, its body hitting the ground with a resounding thud.
