What was that? Itireae wondered as she felt an assault on her psyche. Causing all her previous thoughts to disappear into the winds. She had been wondering at the barren lands, wondering what caused the destruction of nature to such a degree that not even grass would grow back. 

Now her throughs were only on this assault, this cry for help. She could accurately tell from where this came. Yet it made no sense. It was like a spiritual bond of her kin, one who had just used their life to accomplish something.

She knew of no kin in this area. This increased her curiosity, leading her to change course to find out what was going on.
