章節 2: Mountain Bandits & Garp
A few days later, Zeus and Luffy were sitting in Makino's bar listening to Shanks' crew talk about their adventures.
"WOW Shanks! That's so COOL!!" Luffy said with stars in his eyes.
Shanks and his crew laughed while Zeus was sitting next to Luffy watching everything happen. 'Should be right about now..' as soon as he thought that, the mountain bandits showed up. The bandits leader walked into the bar and the bar immediately silenced.
"Get me all the booze ya got, and make it fast my boys sure as hell need it!" The bandits leader said.
"Sorry sir we dont have anymore its been cleaned out by this gentleman right here." Makino said as she smiled and pointed to Shanks "Sorry about that friend you can have some of my if youd like!" Shanks said apologetically as he raised his mug and passed it to the bandit leader with a smile "If you stay here till tomorrow I'll get your drinks, how's that?"
The bandit leader looked at Shanks' outstretched hand with the mug and grabbed it before sneering and turning the mug over, dumping all the contents on shanks and smashing the mug right on top of Shanks' head sending him falling out of his stool by the bar and onto the floor. "Do you know who I am?! I'm Higura the mountain bandit with a bounty of 8,000,000 Berries! Who do you think you are! A fucking worthless pirate wants to buy MY crew drinks? Heh figure out your worth fool. Let's get out of here boys." Higura said with disdain as he wanted out the door with the rest of the bandits. The bar was dead silent until..

Everyone turned to look at Zeus, who was holding his hands on his mouth, before falling off his stool and holding his stomach laughing hysterically. PFFTTTTHAHAHAHAHHAAHA Shanks and crew started laughing as-well, the only one who wasn't laughing was Luffy, he was looking around completely confused as to why they were laughing. "Why are you guys laughing that guy just insulted you!" he cried "I hate you! You're a shitty pirate!" Luffy hopped off his stool and walked out of the bar while Zeus ran after him trying to explain Shanks' actions.
"Luffy! Wait up!" Zeus said as he chased after his brother through the town, having caught up with him he grabbed him and sighed. "Luffy do you know why Shanks didn't do anything to that guy?" Luffy just looked at him and shook his head, seeing this Zeus sighed again and spoke "Because that guy is nothing to Shanks, he can destroy him in a second, that guy didn't even know who shanks was. That guy only has a small bounty and Shanks is one of the 4 strongest people in the New World why would he care what some nobody thinks? When you become the Pirate King are you gonna go looking for everyone who insulted you?" Luffy thought for a moment and shook his head obviously he wasn't going to do that, that sounded stupid. Then it hit him it WAS stupid! Luffy had a face of realization and started laughing "SHISHISHISHISHISHISHISHI! You're right Zeus that guy was pretty stupid! SHISHISHISHSIHSIHSIHSHI" Zeus looked at his brother with black lines on his forehead, 'it seemed he only got half of what i said' he thought while facepalming. "Alright Luffy let's go back I heard Makino was making beef steaks when we left." Zeus said with a chuckle as he walked back to the bar leaving Luffy there with drool coming out of his mouth before Luffy turned around and sprinted towards the bar screaming "MEAAAAT!!"

Several days later Luffy was Standing on the docks with Zeus watching Shanks' ship leave Foosha village. "Hey Zeus do you think Shanks' will ever come back?" Luffy said as he held onto the straw hat on his head. "I dont know Luffy, but probably not. We will probably have to go to him." Zeus said as he looked at the sea with yearning in his eyes. "You know actually Luffy we can probably g-" Zeus started speaking only to tense up and freeze. His whole body shuddering violently with fear in his eyes. "Zeus? What's wrong?" Luffy grabbed Zeus' shoulders and shook him, Zeus looked at Luffy in the eyes and said "L-Luffy i f-forgot to tell you.. grampa's coming here.. hell be here in a few days!!" Luffy looked at Zeus and all color drained from his face "WE NEED TO HIDE HURRY!" Luffy grabbed Zeus arm and started running to the forest to hide from the terror that is Monkey D. Garp "The Hero" marine.

A few days later
Zeus and Luffy were Practicing with their devil fruits in the forest against beasts and the like. "Hey Luffy, can i really be your first mate?" Zeus asked and he controlled his lightning powers to move around faster. Luffy looked at him with confusion "Eh? You already are you're my Blood Brother after all Ace and Sabo are gonna have their own crews and we're gonna see who becomes the pirate king first!" Zeus looked at Luffy and hesitated a moment before finally asking " Even if im not there when you have a crew already?" Luffy looked even more confused now that before "Zeus what are you talking about?" Zeus sighed "Luffy, i think the smelly old man is gonna take me to the marines by force" Luffy was in shock before tearing up "Why would he do that? I dont want to be without you, me, Ace, and Sabo are gonna miss you!" Zeus shook his head "Luffy i dont want to leave you guys either its that my fruit is too strong! If the marines find out that I want to be a pirate, then they'll kill me and considering who our dad and Ace's dad is they'll kill you guys too. I wouldn't be surprised if they killed Sabo just to make sure that nobody finds out." Luffy was beyond shocked at that statement but the shock soon turned to anger " Why?! Who cares if you're a pirate or a marine! Zeus i wont let them take you even if the old man comes we'll fight together! You are and always will be the first mate even if you go to the marines i'll come get you!" Zeus stared at his brother with his mouth wide open and began crying as he hugged him. Zeus broke away and wiped his eyes before looking at Luffy with a sneaky grin "Lu I got a plan." As they started talking about plans they didn't notice a gigantic man hiding behind the bushes listening in on their conversations.
"These damn brats" The man muttered, the man bore a striking resemblance to Luffy and Zeus. That was because this man was in fact the marine hero Garp, who Luffy and Zeus were talking about just now. Garp sighed in his mind and thought to himself 'this kid knows exactly whats going on'. Garp shook his head and stepped out of the bushes startling Luffy and Zeus, who were mid planning. They slowly turned to face Garp and both of them gave a miserable smile before Zeus shouted "GRAMPS WATCH OUT BEHIND YOU!" "Eh?" Garp turned around to find nothing then turned back to find out that his 2 grand children ran away "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA YOU LITTLE BRATS WAIT TILL I CATCH YOU TO FEEL MY LOVE FISTS!!" Garp said as he chased after the two of them. Before long a sad "OWWWW" was heard across the entire Foosha village.

A week later, Luffy was standing on the docks with Ace and Sabo to say good bye to Zeus who was forcefully snatched by Garp. They were lined up and still had bumps on their head from Garp as they had been fighting him for a week to get Zeus to stay. Zeus was standing infront of them with tears in his eyes and his very own bump on his head "Guys im leaving now but that doesn't mean we won't see each other later, i'm gonna miss you guys!" Zeus went up to hug Ace and Sabo before coming to hug Luffy tightly as Zeus whispered in his ear " Luffy dont forget the plan the smelly old man will never know what hit him shishishishi!" Luffy and Zeus both laughed with tears in their eyes before Zeus turned around and walked towards the marine boat. He turned and waved at his brothers before screaming " LUFFY, ACE, SABO! WE'LL MEET AGAIN ON THE SEA!" The trio screamed back " YEAH!" before they all started laughing and crying at the same time as the ship started to sail away.
Once they were far from the island Zeus went up to Garp and just looked at him before he sighed and walked towards him room with Garp following him.
In his room Garp closed the door and his next to him on his bed and sighed " Listen brat I know you don't like this but it has to be done you have to become a marine whether you like it or not." Zeus looked at his grampa and smiled "I know gramps, you're trying to protect me, thank you." before Garp could say anything else Zeus spoke again " But gramps you know that i can't become a true marine or be an admiral at most ill stop at captain." he shook his head and sighed. Garp frowned and just plainly said "Why?" Zeus chuckled a bit and said "Because of who my father is." Garp frowned even more and opened his mouth, but before he could get a word in Zeus spoke again "Gramps i don't hate my dad at all actually i think he's a hero just like you, and i know you're proud of him, but.." Zeus chuckled hopelessly " the problem is nobody else thinks like that and i can't have a career in the marines." he looked at Garp and gave him a hug while whispering to him " I know you heard my plan with Luffy and i'm sorry i cant be a marine like you want." he released Garp and said while laughing "But if i ever have kids hopefully they can be marines like you want them to be." Garp looked at his grandson amazed and shocked before laughing his head off with tears in his eyes "BWAHAHAHAHAHAH You damn brat! You're pretty damn smart!" before instantly getting serious causing a cold sweat to appear on Zeus' face "Who told you about having kids." Zeus stared at Garp with a dumbstruck expression before saying in his mind 'I'm sorry Shanks youre gonna have to take one for the team ill pay you back i swear' "I-It was Shanks and his C-Crew who told me but they didnt tell Luffy!" Garp seemed to accept this answer before giving me an evil smile "So you already thought of a Lover huh? Should i knock some sense into you?" As he raised his fist, Zeus looked at the fist then at Garp's face and started shaking his head like a rattle drum before getting a face full of it. Garp laughed and got up and went for the door before he left he said "Prepare yourself well be at Marineford in a couple weeks.." Garp looked at his grandson with and evil smile again "... and when we get there i'm gonna personally train you BWAHAHAHAHAH" with that he walked out and closed the door leaving Zeus groaning on the floor with a new bump on his head.
