章節 194: EPISODE 194: Dracovolt, You're Up Next!
I scrunched my eyes at the bright light that was sipping through my closed eyelids. I felt powerless and heavy. I could not move my hand, my head or my body.
I slowly started blinking, desperately trying to open my eyes and see what's around me. Where am I? As blinding light slowly subsided I could take a look around my surroundings. I was at the Pokemon Center.
The room was pristine clean and gloomy. Typical hospital bed, IV and monitors beeping. The walls were a sickly green color and the linens were grayish. The place looked nothing like a room where a patient should be motivated to get better. The murky room made me feel nauseous.
"Kalem! You're finally awake!" Shaymin's tail wagged while hugging licking my pale face. She beamed with relief and solace.
"Shaymin... It's nice to see you, where's Lucario, Glade, and Camellia?" My upper body rose and my eyes wandered around my surroundings to see nothing but Shaymin and squirming Caterpie on one of the desks.
"They're on the counter to heal your Pokemons," Shaymin responded quickly while continuing to lick my pale face.
The metal doors of my room suddenly opened as a familiar aroma, entered the room.
"Oh, my, cousin! You're finally awake." Kira beamed with relief and sat down on the corner of my hospital bed.
"Kira, it's nice to see you again. I'm feeling better, but a bit drowsy though, anyways, how's your gym challenge against princess Thalia?"
"It was hard but I and my Pokemons were able to defeat her. I finally earned my seventh badge, which leaves one to go before the Pokemon League begins. Dracovolt city is up next!" Kira beamed with determination as her eyes sparkled with success and passion.
"Lucky you, I guess, if only I was able to get my seventh badge in Glacevelt city," I uttered solemnly while looking doon.
"Here, you can have this extra Frost badge! Officer Jenny gave it to Camellia and she gave it to me." Kira chuckled while scrambling her bag to find her gym case.
"I feel guilty for receiving a free gym badge. I want to accomplish things the proper way."
"Don't be cousin. You deserve this badge. You battled against a commander of team Chaos, be proud and happy." Kira cheered and comforted.
"Thanks. I guess I'm headed to Dracovolt city next as well, but I have to pass by Glacevelt again."
"No need, I know a short cut to the city. Just take the west path and you'll reach Meteor town. From there, you can head north which will lead you to the city.
Ah! I know, since we're all headed to the city, mind if I come with you momentarily?" Kira's eyes sparkled and begged.
"It's fine by me... You can come if you'd wish. Almost three months before the Pokemon League begins, I'm feeling worried and anxious. Tens of thousands of trainers will be competing and only one can be the victor-"
"K... Kalem!" Lucario's eyes were shocked and relieved after seeing me awake once he entered the room. He rushed to me like a bolt of lightning crashing to fertile lands. Lucario hugged my body tightly while tears drenched down his eyes. Camellia and Glade were also relieved to see me awake, they returned my Pokemons, looking much better and healthier.
"Um, Kalem... I have something to say to you." Camellia's face suddenly became melancholy as she clenched her two fists.
"What's wrong Camellia?"
"Hemera was shot dead by her friend Lunar," Camellia uttered solemnly.
"Shot dead?!"
"I'm sorry to say but yes. Her body is in the cremation room while her family waits for the cremation to finish. She tried to convince Lunar to join her, but was betrayed in the end." Glade added solemnly.
It was like time has stopped while tears fell down like a drizzle. Team Chaos is going too far, another innocent person has lost her life due to the filthy works of the evil regime.
"There's nothing we can do but avenge her. That regime is going too far! First the champion, and now Hemera?! Unbelievable! I won't let another innocent person bleed because of the regime's filthy ambitions." I enraged while clenching my two fists. My emotions split into two, melancholy and indignant.
"What now Kalem? Are we going to Dracovolt city?" Glade questioned.
"That's the site of my last gym badge, of course, I'm going to the city. Kira is also willing to join us momentarily." My raged cooled down a bit while determination took over my heart.
"Hee hee, no matter what, I guess battling always calms your rage." Camellia giggled.
For a moment, Nurse Joy and Audino instructed me to rest. Though my body was feeling fine, resting is still necessary for my other injuries to recover.

"Well, what do we have here, it looks like Kalem is feeling much better." Thalia beamed with relief after seeing me and my friends walk to the counter of the Pokemon Center.
"That's right princess Thalia! My body is energized once more! I can finally continue my journey, also... Kira is planning to come with us momentarily."
"Hee hee, I can see what you mean by energized once more. Anyways, best wishes on your journey to Dracovolt city, it's a long way even though the short cut, but it's still shorter rather than passing route thirty-one." Thalia giggled while rubbing Lucario's chin.
"Um Thalia, will Hemera's Pokemons be transferred to her family?" Camellia questioned with pity and compassion while looking at Hemera's family on the corner of the Pokemon Center, sobbing and moaning for their deceased member.
"I believe so, Hemera is truly a hero without a cape. Her footsteps in this region will always be remembered, even if she's not famous or known throughout the region.
From a bullied past, to a merciful future, Hemera truly is an innocent woman kidnapped by the hands of the regime, but rest assured, Lunar is being hunted down by the department." Thalia comforted.
"They better! Lunar tried to act like a gym leader, that's why she keeps on using an automated voice. Plus, that clone, it really sounded and acted like Camellia." I enraged ferociously.
"A clone? Hmm, this must be the works of the Mafia's advanced holographic imaging. Anyways, let the department handle this mess, you don't need to join in or else you'll end up in a hospital bed again.
Be a Pokemon Master and stick to your journey."
By the end of the day, me, Glade, Camellia, and Kira all set out to the west side of the region. With evil lurking around, who knows what we may encounter next? Who knows what other surprises have in store for me and my companions? Let the Chaos Regime strike, I'll be there to counter every move they make. "Afíste me apó to domátió mou.
