exactly, plus he wasn't that overbearing as well... he just put a stop to Bakugo with minimum violence and trash talking, usually MCs take it too far dealing with Bakugo and Midoriya and be completely antagonistic towards either of them. Here he is just guiding them, giving them a chance to be better than canon, without actually drastically changing their personality or beliefs and I love that (even if it's just for the points)
