Chương 3: Chapter 2: Assumptions
Artemis and Andrew were at the Ocean Ville Police Department. They're office wasn't there, as the detectives had their own department building right beside the police department.
Artemis was sipping her coffee, black, bitter and sugarless. Andrew on the other hand, was flipping through the murder case file.
"When will Corinne be finished with the autospy, she said?" Artemis asked, absentmindedly.
"Most probably tomorrow," Andrew answered just as absentmindedly.
"What in the name of Hell is wrong with the two of you?!" Daniella scolded the absentminded duo out of irritation.
Daniel said nothing at all. He merely shook his head at the personality of his younger twin sister.
"Are you guys alright, Artie, Andrew?" Daniel asked.
"There's just something that doesn't add up in the mix of this case... The murderer knew that Madam Williams saw him slashing Alyssa Monroe's face.... So, why didn't he kill the sole witness? Was he that confident in his disguise?" Artemis started.
"It was dark, yes. He was wearing black clothes, even closed with face with a black cloth.... but even thieves wouldn't be this confident! It's almost like he isn't randomly killing. It's like there's a hidden reason, a grudge..." Andrew continued.
"He only killed his target. He left Madam Williams alone because she wasn't her target and he wanted her to be a useless clue for us as he knows that her eyesight is as wonderful as a bat's during day and he was confident in his attire," Artemis mumbled, continuing Andrew's words.
"He's making fun of us, the authorities with this," Andrew said, anger slightly seeping into his voice.
"He's a sick pyscho bastard that's waiting to be hung or sent to jail for eternity," Artemis ended with a disgusted tone.
"You two have a point," Daniel said as he too thought of their theory.
"That was creepy as Hell, you two! Please for my sanity's sake, don't do that ever again!" Daniella said with a faux horrified look on her face.
"Shut up, Ella," Artemis said teasingly with a chuckled before walking off and into the mini kitchen of the department to clean her coffee cup.
Her phone dinged signalling her that someone had messaged her. It was her younger sister, Athena and her message was quite alarming.

Artemis immediately ran out of the mini kitchen, pass her friends and almost reached the front doors of the police department before Daniella stopped her.
"Artie?! Where are you going?!" Daniella called after her best friend.
"Athena's in trouble!" Artemis answered before running out of the department. She could faintly hear the sound of her friends following after her in a rush.
