Well, it said demonic cultivation and it IS DEMONIC cultivation. Even the righteous sects are not so righteous. The only difference is that the demonic sects do it openly, while the righteous sects do it behind veils. Good story and highly recommended.
The world isn't anything unique, but the execution sure is... Since this is a cultivation novel, there will obviously be elements that other novels have. But they aren't infuriatingly predictable. It isn't really repetetive either. So, yeah. This is a good read. BUT it is demonic cultivation, so if you aren't comfortable reading that, steer clear...
Good story. Doesn't follow the usual cliches. The translation is good and consistent. I just wish there were more chapters. I am currently following it on pa.t.r.e.o.n and the story is going quite good so far. I hope it doesn't disappoint me going forward...
10/10 great novel I have read in a while. Must say the story is very well written and the characters all 3 dimensional and goals and needs that they want to achieve. No one person is the same and everyone is different. The MC is like a breathe of fresh air as to how well written he is and his goals to achieving power. Also action and fights are top tire and would highly recommend this gem.

it's one of awesome novel upto now(182), i feel refreshed after long time. It is neither fast paced nor snail like exploration time. one of the most appreciable thing is, novel is little logical while compared to some of the trash CN novel where many characters are brainless and devoid of common sense. One interesting thing i liked is MC plans, in one of the chpt, if you don't have access to scriptures in pavilion of sect then just find other way to get it, like ways of cheating instead doing some hard labor, making contributions , missions and prolonging the chapters like in other novel. I liked this author who made MC use his brain instead following some rigid patterns. like other novels. story background is also good, with no system, some childish competitions,... Mysterious devour power MC makes plot interesting. i hope author keeps the same flow in the following chpts
Worth every penny. I am currently reading at chapter 190 and the story is good. It has all the good cultivation elements, while it avoids the cringe and corny aspects like face slapping every other chapter, everyone looking down on the MC every chapter, jade beauties with willow arms and eyelashes. Instead it has corpse puppets, devouring essence blood, refining ghosts and consuming souls. You know, all the good stuff. Highly recommended.
Binged it all in one sitting. Story is good BUT IT's FU**ING SLOW! I am more of a fast paced story reader. Bu the story is worth a read, if you can bear the first 100 or so chapters. So basically it needs more chapters. Chapters end before the story truly starts... Guess I'll go to the P*tr*on since there are close to 200 chapters there...

MC's blade has true gender equality. Whether you are a man, woman, young or old. If you stand in his way he will make sure you never stand again. Overall, this is a really good story if you are patient with it. If you are reading this review, then please tell me what you think of my assessment of the story and share your thoughts as well.
Damn! This novel is a breath of fresh air compared to other chinese works that are recently coming out. For those of you who are considering reading it, here's what you should know. - No Face Slapping - No Showing Off - MC is extremely ruthless and doesn't trust anybody. - The story is dark and unapologetic. - MC is a real demonic character with him actively engaging in corpse refinement and devouring people's blood essence. - The characters are not your typical 2D copy-paste characters and are actually cunning and ruthless people. - There are no old grandpas, only shameless old monsters who won't let you grow if they can help it. I don't wanna say more and accidently spoil the contents, but it is one of the best cultivation stories I have read. Especially the way author portrayed the "Righteous" and "Demonic" sects (You'll know what I mean, when you read it.) Final Verdict, 100% recommended. Best work I have read in a while.
Awesome story, I don't really know how to properly judge a work like others do, most of my reviews are based on how much I enjoyed the story. Is 5/5 for everything too much? Maybe, but I don't care. Loved it and would like to keep reading...
Damn Bro! This is good, binged it all in two days. The story is good and most off all realistic. The events are grounded in reality and don't look nonsensical. MC doesn't go off challenging people way off his league while expecting plot armor to kick in. And most of all MC is a ruthless bastard (It's a compliment).
The Best Novel Ever! After reading a plethora of trashy novels with copy paste charcaters this just felt so good. I hope it keep going. The novel is dark and doesn't shy away from portraying it. Rather it embraces it whole heartedly and shows you what true cultivation is supposed to look like. Especially for someone who doesn't come from a powerful family background. It's intense and I love that intensity.
Translator Here! Since this is not my own creation I can be somewhat objective about it. The story starts out slow, and even a little boring but it starts to grow on you after 80 or so chapters. The characters aren't your average 2D characters that you see in any other novel. They have depth and are not easy to deal with. MC is neither naïve, nor a saint. he is ruthless when he needs to be. He is cautious and doesn't take unnecessary risks. There isn't a harem, nor any hints of it so far (200 Chapters). I have been told that there MIGHT be Romance but that is far in the future. An I am not too sure about that. So please give it a go and let me know what you think of this story...
