With Alakazam learning Recover and Clefable mastering Moonblast, Xavier adjusted their moves. He switched Alakazam's Confusion with Recover and Clefable's Disarming Voice with Moonblast. Pleased with the changes, Xavier put them back in their Poké Balls and brought out his determined Primeape to accompany him.
Navigating the Rock Tunnel, Xavier and Primeape continued until they reached a point with two paths. Xavier chose the left path, which turned out to be a mistake. After an hour, they hit a dead end, not only they did not encounter any trainer but also did not find any hidden items .
Realizing the error, Xavier went back for an hour and took the right path. This time, things went better. In just 15 minutes, they met their first trainer.
Xavier checked her team using Inspect. It showed she had a level 26 Meowth, a level 27 Gloom, and a level 27 Pidgeotto. With this knowledge, Xavier felt ready to battle, relying on his evolved Pokémon's skills and his smart strategy.
The battle began with trainer's first choice being Meowth, whose eyes gleamed in the darkness. Xavier responded by sending out his newly evolved Alakazam, the powerful psychic type radiating an aura of confidence.
"Let's begin, Alakazam!" Xavier called out, his voice echoing in the eerie surroundings. "Use Teleport!"
With a swift movement, Alakazam vanished, reappearing instantaneously behind the surprised Meowth. Before the Meowth could react, Alakazam's sleek fingers illuminated with psychic energy as it unleashed a precise Psycho Cut attack. The attack struck true, sending Meowth tumbling to the ground in defeat.
Undeterred, the NPC trainer sent out their Gloom, the flower on its head exuding a pungent aroma. Alakazam's keen senses allowed it to navigate through the darkness, and once again, it vanished using Teleport. This time, it materialized above the Gloom, executing a powerful Thunder Punch that shocked both Gloom and the trainer with its unexpected speed and accuracy. Gloom's attempts to retaliate were in vain as Alakazam's relentless assault continued until Gloom fell defeated.
The last challenge presented itself in the form of a Pidgeotto, its wings fluttering as it adjusted to the challenging environment.Pidgeotto's keen eyesight and flight abilities should have given it an advantage, but Alakazam's strategic use of Teleport proved to be its undoing once again. The Pidgeotto struggled to track Alakazam's movements in the darkness, its attacks falling futilely as Alakazam dodged with ease. Xavier seized the opportunity, commanding Alakazam to strike with a series of precise Thunder Punches, leaving Pidgeotto grounded and defeated.
As the final echo of the battle faded, the darkness seemed to recede slightly, revealing the victorious Alakazam standing tall amidst the battlefield.
After his victory, Xavier was rewarded with 1600 pokecoins. He recalled Alakazam and continued on his journey, a smile forming on his face. He felt justified in evolving his Pokémon, particularly witnessing how easily Alakazam dominated the opposing NPC's team.
As time went on, Xavier encountered four more NPC trainers. He relied solely on his two powerful Pokémon, Alakazam and Clefable. The duo performed remarkably, outmatching their opponents at every turn. Alakazam's level increased by 2, reaching level 30, while Clefable advanced by 1 level, hitting level 29.
Luck was on his side too, as he stumbled upon a Super Potion and 2 Potions during his journey. The advantage of using Inspect became apparent as it aided him in locating these items in the pitch-black tunnel, a feat that would be nearly impossible without such help.
