Tóm tắt
Just three centuries ago, this world was like any other, magic and spirits considered fantasy, as steel and blood decided the era.
Yet ever since that day, the trans-formative 'Flux' has flooded the world, turning beasts to demons, the elements conscious, and the humans...

Follow the boy with no name from the village of Rehall as he is taken to an institute of the King to become a fierce and loyal soldier, all the while pioneering a new path of ascension.

PoA is currently on indefinite hiatus as I work on Brink of Dawn, another title on this site.

Viết đánh giáA real hidden gem only downside is that I can read faster than the story can be written. If you like fantasy you should read this novel. I hope that the author keeps writing for I will most certainly be waiting to read.
Good job author. This is a very good cultivation novel which does not follow the normal repetitive cliches that plague chinese novels. So far I like everything about this novel and I hope it continues to impress
A little earlier in the story than I usually write reviews but I wanted proof I've been here since the beginning when this story becomes super popular cause it's setting itself up better than any other story I've read on webnovel. Great stuff!
*Evaluation written at chapter 105* This is a real hidden gem ! I usually like my reviews to be long and detailed, so for those of you who want to read my wandering thoughts, just read this : if you are tired of omniscient killing machines MCs with a dumbass system, this western view on eastern cultivation fantasy is very worth trying ! don't Once in a while, just when you look through all the trashy generic novels being picked up on this site everyday and decide it is a waste of time to search for a new readable novel, you stumble on something that makes you think "well, maybe there is still hope around here after all..." This novel is one of those times. First of all, at least for me, NO FARKING SYSTEM ! The characters are talented, yes, but that's it. After that, they can only grow stronger with continuous hard work. No robotic voice in your head gifting you with a divine cultivation technique, a godly fist art or a heaven-grade flaming sword every two days. Just hard work. Basic, maybe too blunt for some, but precisely what I am looking for. The writing quality is the second big plus for me. I remember Chalky say it's his first novel, and God I wish I could write like that. The pacing is perfect, quite slow but I think it is the only way to truly bring life to the characters. They are very well written, each with their own distinct personality. The MC is not a mass psychopathic slaughterer, as so many others. In fact he could even be considered a good guy, just that he grew up getting used to obeying orders. Whatever they may be... but I have a feeling that may change in the future. He does not win every fight, and he doesn't always make the best decisions. Some comments say he is weak and stupid. I say he is human. And still a rather strong one. His main abilities and the techniques he acquires are are quite interesting, very unusual for the genre but quite well thought through. The story so far is interesting, and the world quite solid. However, as of now (chapter 105), the MC is just strong enough to start to have a real view on the continent and knows very little of what lies beyond. No arrogant young master needing a faceslap so far either as all characters, friends and foes, are rather well built and coherent. So is it perfect ? Obviously no, nothing is. But for now it is a damn good novel, and a refreshing version of eastern cultivation I, for one, very much needed. So thank you Chalky, and keep up the good work !
Too slow for my taste(dropped) Writing quality and stability of updates are good Story development is too slow, nothing much happens even after 50 chapters...not much intriguing plot till now, it's all about MC growing up and all background characters are two dimensional. Sometimes character of MC feels a little bland and doesn't have any unique thing that separates him from others(MC is boring, feels two dimensional). After waiting for something to happen which can make me hang on to this story, I am dropping it. Sorry author nothing personal but everything is too slow, I know many say world building is good but I don't see much here. I hope it gets better It's not for people who expect a decent or fast paced novels.
I have really liked the way how author has taken time to slowly build relationship between characters ,cultivation background and give us a brief overview of the world. I see high potential just hope it follows something like espionage or military conquest and not just cultivation.
Im on chapter 19 so far so good . I have a feeling author sama is building up a solid foundation for this story ,and that the story will end up top 20 in future. No alot of background of the world but time will make things clear. Also a discord would be nice(hint) .
For me it’s top 10 novels so far. Love the world build (perfect), and every details of skill, techniques and fighting scenarios. I can say it’s remind (kind of nostalgia to) me of Kingdom’s Bloodline and Birth Of The Demonic Sword. Please don’t drop because it’s hard to find good novels like this, and I kinda hope there will be more then 1000 chapters or even more it has a great potential.
This story, among others, reminds me of why I haven’t uninstalled Webnovel. The first couple chapters were albeit a little slow starting out, as is healthy for an introduction. By around chapter 20 I found it hard to put the book down and the entire day, as well as 60 chapters, were gone :( All in all, from around chapter 30, better quality writing than most amazon fantasy authors, and an incredible plot with even better character development. Only downside is that the author can’t write faster than I can read. ;) Great job author!
I dont want to read about a child growing up being a idiot about everything he does. I want to read about an MC who knows their ****. If you want a slow read with a MC thats dumb as f@#$ here you go.
the story goes too slow.... not for me so i drooped it .. but the story got a good flow and indeed its a hidden gem.. just not suited for me.. or any other who don,t like slow development pace story ...
the only thing I can complain about is the slow updates but it is always worth the wait. very thrilling and descriptive makes it easy to get lost in the story.
A amazing take on eastern fantasy with a lack of cliches and a focus on building the main characters’ foundation as well as a mastery of world building. While the novel does become a little slow paced at the beginning, overall it is a enjoyable novel with likable, relatable characters and a main character you really connect to, root for and watch them grow as the story progresses.

a very nice book. Good Pacing, Nice World Building, Writing Quality is good, Story Development is smooth. No unbearable info dumps. Reasonable Plot.
I have read this till chapter 24 and have quite liked the way this story is developing and can see it's potential. Character till now is neither all powerfull nor has a cheat system till now atleast. Although I understand this is still early however I hope atleast few of the below thing could be made somewhat more clear 1. World background - we only know that his kingdom is at war with an alliance. Since the mc is still young he might not need to know but still a background would give more context and what mc is acutally being prepared for. 2. side character - apart from their you still get to know quite less abt their personality or background 3. Martial system - still not clear with the levels and type
Valla mierda el MC si sabes que no vas a ganar no vallas y déjalo a tu amigo y no hagas el ridiculizado o al menos gana una hdp aquí lo dejo solo por eso
PoA so far has done Really well. Solid updating stability, complex characters making their way in a feverish struggle to become stronger. Not to mention the world building, which gives you enough information to understand the medieval-esque landscape, yet at the same time leaving a layer of mystery as to whats beyond Demia, and beyond the planet. Overall, a really interesting read and a lot of fun, especially if you’re looking for something new to the cultivation genre.

Shameless review by the author as is apparently customary. This is my first work but I've been reading cultivation and fantasy novels on sites like this for 4-5 years now and have long outgrown the usual tropes and such, so this is my attempt to write a new story I myself would find refreshing. If you have any constructive feedback as you read, please let me know in the chapter comments so I can take it on board and adjust as I see fit. Thanks, and I hope you all enjoy!
