Chương 9: The Maid that wants to be a Knight
As Aether was reading about Mondstandt, more like he was reading a story, it was called the 3 Moon sister, as he felt a tap on his solder, he turned his head to see who it was
a beautiful young girl with short, lilac hair styled in a braid above her forehead and light green eyes. Her headpiece is white and gold and resembles a crown with a pair of roses at both sides by the ends. Her dress resembles a suit of armor and matches her headpiece.
Aether just looked at her. "Can I help you?".
The girl looked at Aether a bit blushing. "Um yeas, my name is Noelle, and I am made of the Knight of Favonius, and I heard you just became a knight".
Aether looked up from his book, intrigued by the young maid standing before him. "Yes, I did. What can I do for you, Noelle?"
Noelle's cheeks flushed a bit deeper as she continued, "I wanted to congratulate you on becoming a Knight of Favonius. As a maid, I assist the knights in various tasks and upkeep. If there's anything you need help with or if you have any questions about the Order, please feel free to ask."
Aether smiled, noting her enthusiasm. "Thank you, Noelle. Actually, since you're here, could you tell me more about the duties and responsibilities of a knight? I want to understand my role better."
Noelle nodded, her eyes brightening. "Of course! The Knights of Favonius are responsible for protecting Mondstadt, maintaining peace, and assisting the citizens. As a new knight, you'll likely start with patrols, assisting with quests, and learning the ways of our Order. There are also various special roles within the Knights, such as reconnaissance, diplomacy, and combat support."
Aether raised an eyebrow. "That sounds like a lot of work. Do you have any advice for someone new to the Order?"
Noelle's expression grew serious. "The most important thing is to stay dedicated and uphold the values of the Order—honor, duty, and courage. Always be ready to help others and strive to improve yourself. Even though I'm a maid, I always try to support the knights in any way I can, hoping one day to become a knight myself."
Aether observed her determination. "It sounds like you have a strong sense of purpose. I hope you achieve your goal."
Noelle smiled gratefully. "Thank you, Aether. If you ever need assistance with anything or just want to chat, feel free to visit me in the Knights' headquarters."
As Noelle turned to leave, Aether reflected on their conversation, appreciating her dedication and the sense of camaraderie she conveyed.
Noelle then turned around and looked at him. "Um I do have a question what did you do to become a knight".
Aether just looked at her. "Will you see I helped them during the Storm Terror problem".
Noelle then looked at him. "I see that is what I need to do".
Aether raised an eyebrow bur he relsihe. "So you wanna become a knight as well".
Noelle nodded, her determination evident in her eyes. "Yes, I want to become a knight of the Knights of Favonius. I've been working hard and assisting in any way I can, but I know that proving myself in the field is important."
Aether smiled at her resolve. "That's a noble goal. I'm sure with your dedication and hard work, you'll achieve it."
Noelle's cheeks flushed slightly at the encouragement. "Thank you, Aether. I appreciate your support. I've been preparing myself in every way I can, hoping that one day I'll get the opportunity to prove my worth."
Aether nodded thoughtfully. "If you ever need any advice or assistance, let me know. I'm still getting used to everything myself, but I'd be happy to help however I can."
Noelle's face brightened with gratitude. "Thank you! That means a lot to me. I'll definitely keep that in mind."
With a final nod, Noelle turned to leave, a sense of renewed determination in her step. Aether watched her go, admiring her commitment and reflecting on how he might be able to support her in her quest to become a knight.
Aether then saw from the corner of his eyes her a bit sad, as he looked at her and just sighed, Paimon just looked at him
Paimon saw Aether. "That girl looks sad why is that".
Aether just looked at her. "It is because Noelle probably has self confidence issues, it is probably because of this Jeane has not made her into a Knight".
Paimon tilted her head thoughtfully. "So, you think she's struggling with her confidence? That might explain why she hasn't become a knight yet."
Aether nodded. "Exactly. Sometimes, even with all the skills and dedication in the world, it's the self-belief that's missing. She needs to show herself—and others—that she's ready."
Paimon thought for a moment. "Maybe we could help her out? If she gets a chance to prove herself in a smaller task or mission, it might boost her confidence."
Aether considered the idea. "That's a good point. I'll see if there's any way I can give her an opportunity to shine. Sometimes a small victory can make a big difference."
Paimon smiled. "Sounds like a plan! Let's see what we can do to help Noelle out."

Noelle looked up, her green eyes showing a mix of surprise and relief. "Well, it's just... I've always admired the knights and wanted to be one. But I'm not sure if I have what it takes. I feel like I'm constantly falling short compared to others, like I'm not good enough."
