Chương 7: Ch 7: Cultivating for the First Time
Li Feng was already very satisfied after upgrading his spiritual root with an Ultimate Upgradation card and had not expected that he would find something else compatible with it so quickly again. It was definitely a pleasant surprise that he was extremely happy about. But he calmed his overly excited mind down and first decided to check what the system had to tell about this demonic cultivation technique.
After reading the description given by the system, Li Feng broke out in cold sweat. This Malevolent Blood Arts was definitely an extremely evil and demonic technique. If he was a normal disciple and had started practicing this art without knowing anything about it, he would already be done for.
This cultivation art was an ancient demonic technique and was capable of making someone into an immortal. So the value of this technique was very high. The requirements for practicing it were very few and having any kind of spiritual root was enough, even the most useless ones.
Obviously people with better spiritual roots would be able to reach higher realms but even the most useless cultivators could reach the foundation establishment realm with some luck on their side with the help of this technique.
This was what both the description of the system and the description of the technique had in common. But the extra information that the system mentioned was insane. Basically, this technique was created just for a single person to successfully become an immortal.
And in that process, all the other people practicing it would be sacrificed and they all would turn into nourishment for the person who was undergoing the process of tribulation for becoming an immortal.
So a higher realm practitioner of this technique could control or even absorb a lower realm one. So if Li Feng ended up practicing it, he would just turn into an elixir for other people to freely use. Li Feng felt extremely fortunate that he had his system or it would have been over for him.
Then Li Feng closed his eyes and calmed his racing heart down. After that he instructed his system to use an Ultimate Upgradation card on the technique. Immediately, the book disappeared from his hand and a cultivation technique appeared in his mind.
Li Feng read this new cultivation method thoroughly to understand it properly. He was a little bit worried about it as the base of this technique was still a very evil demonic technique. But his fears turned out to be unfounded.
The technique that appeared in Li Feng's mind was called "Blood God Divine Scripture". It was an extremely powerful technique that was capable of making Li Feng a Supreme Zenith Realm cultivator. Li Feng had no idea what this supreme zenith realm was but it really sounded very powerful.
Both Malevolent Blood Arts and Blood God Divine Scripture worked with blood but that was where the similarities between them ended. The quality of Blood God Divine Scripture was astronomically higher than the Malevolent Blood Arts and they were not even comparable to each other. Li Feng was extremely satisfied with the technique that he got.
He immediately took out one inferior grade blood condensation pill and used one of his regular upgradation card on it. Immediately that blood condensation pill turned into a high grade Blood Qi Pill.
Blood Qi pills were higher grade pills that normally the lowest level cultivators did not get the chance to use. Normally foundation establishment cultivators used it for their cultivation. But with this pill providing him energy, Li Feng's entry into cultivation would be very easy and without any obstacles.
First Li Feng started to meditate and tried to sense the spiritual power around him. With his supreme quality spiritual root, as soon as he tried he was able to feel the spiritual energy around him. This was a common process that every cultivator starting cultivation needed to go through.
How quickly someone would be able to sense the spiritual power of heaven and earth depended completely on the talent of an individual. Some geniuses could sense it within a week but someone with limited talent, might need months for this. But Li Feng was able to do it as soon as he tried which was unheard of.
After Li Feng was able to sense the spiritual powers of heaven and earth, he immediately put the Blood Qi Pill in his mouth and used the cultivation technique mentioned in the Blood God Divine Scripture. All the energy that was released from the pill was perfectly harnessed and was used to boost Li Feng's cultivation. This whole process lasted for about an hour or so and in that short amount of time, he had already reached the peak of the third level Qi gathering realm.
The cultivation realms were divided into nine levels. After reaching the final level, a cultivator could try to break through to the next realm. Reaching a higher level enhanced a cultivator's powers but reaching a higher realm was completely different and the boost of power one would get from that was extremely high.
Even among the levels, the enhancement received in going from 3rd level to 4th level and from 6th level to 7th level was significantly higher. So a 4th rank or higher cultivators were also called mid stage cultivators and a 7th rank or higher cultivator was called a high or late stage cultivator.
The first realm of cultivation was the Qi Gathering realm. In this stage a disciple needed to gather Qi or spiritual energy of heaven and earth to strengthen themselves and to reach higher levels. After reaching the 9th level, someone with a solid foundation could try to break through into the second realm which was called the Foundation Building realm.
After that there were Golden Core, Nascent Soul, Soul Formation and many more stages which ended with the Mahayana realm. After reaching the peak of Mahayana realm one could call for heavenly tribulation and if that cultivator could successfully transcend the heavenly tribulation, he would be able to become an immortal cultivator.
Just thinking about it made Li Feng excited for his future. And just like that he took his first steps toward cultivation and immortality.
