Chương 8: Ch 8: Going Out
After digesting all the energy from that blood Qi Pill, Li Feng took a little break. From what he learnt from his cultivation technique, using too many pills for cultivation was not good for his foundation so he did not use any more pills and started to cultivate normally.
With his powerful spiritual root and cultivation technique, Li Feng had nothing to worry about his foundation. But still he had no reason to rush his cultivation for the time being. His cultivation speed was already very fast, so he could afford to take measured steps in his cultivation journey to make sure that he was always in his best form.
Even without any problem with his foundation, very quickly rising in power was also not good for his control and mentality. So it was always better to first master his current strength properly before rising his levels more.
So that night, Li Feng stopped cultivating after reaching the fourth level of Qi gathering and becoming a mid stage Qi gathering cultivator. It was already enough progress for one night and then he took out the book with the rules of the sect written in it.
After reading the whole book in one sitting, Li Feng fell into deep thought. Now that he knew the true nature of the sect, he was able to see the true intention behind many of the rules which would look like very good and generous rules to anyone who was not aware of the true circumstances.
The most important rules that Li Feng needed to care about were both related to his survival. A regular disciple needed to complete at least one mission from the mission hall every month. Failing to do so would immediately result in death.
As for another rule for the beginner disciples, once every three months, a special test would be conducted where all the disciples of the outer sect needed to show their cultivation levels in front of the elders. If the progress of a disciple was not satisfactory, the elders might decide to get rid of that disciple right then and there.
According to that book, the cultivation progress that a disciple needed to have to avoid getting killed was also written. Li Feng decided to keep his cultivation talent average in the eyes of the sect, as it was very probable that the sect would start to keep a close eye on him if even a slight bit of his talent was leaked.
Li Feng at least did not need to worry about this test for the next three months. As sensing the energy of heaven and earth took quite some time for a new disciple, all the brand new disciples were given a pass for the first test.
But Li Feng still needed to complete a mission from the sect within a month. As he had no idea what kind of missions would be available, he decided to go to the mission hall in a weeks time to check that out. Before that he was planning to cultivate daily to increase his cultivation levels steadily.

For that whole week, Li Feng was actually planning to stay in his house without going out. But his plan failed immediately the very next day when he was given a system daily mission to interact with a fellow disciple.So Li Feng was forced to come out of his house as he had no intention to miss a system mission.
After coming out, he finally took a good look at the sect. Yesterday he was too nervous about many things and had not managed to observe everything thoroughly. But now after a night of cultivation, his levels had become higher and he was not the weakest person present in the sect anymore. So now he at least had some capability to defend himself. That gave a boost to his confidence and he was able to look at everything with a relaxed mind.
With a simple glance, nothing looked out of place here. If a regular person was brought here who knew nothing about the nature of the sect, they would not think that this place was an evil and demonic place. But someone with more sensitive senses would be able to feel the evil aura in the environment.
As Li Feng went away from his somewhat remote house, he started seeing more and more disciples. What surprised him was the fact that most of the disciples were weaker than him. He was currently at the peak of fourth level which was insane to achieve in just a single night but was nothing in the grand scheme of things.
Li Feng was hiding his cultivation level after coming out for obvious reasons. The Blood God Divine Scripture was not just a cultivation method but actually was a perfect guide to a cultivation. It not only had cultivation techniques but various types of skills and secret methods were also written in it too. One such secret method was called Qi Concealment Art and that was exactly what Li Feng was currently using to hide his cultivation.
After looking walking for some time, Li Feng saw a boy of his same age who had not managed to sense qi. Among all the disciples he had seen so far, this boy looked most normal in terms of mentality. So Li Feng thought that he would be an easy person to have a conversation with.
Currently that boy was walking toward a building called the practice hall. Li Feng had read about this place last night. Many disciples who were practicing various types of skills came here to try them out. But this boy had not managed to even sense the energy of heaven and earth so Li Feng was curious as to why he was going to the practice hall.
Instead of guessing, Li Feng decided to directly ask the boy. So he called out to the boy, introduced himself and told that he was also a brand new disciple. Then he asked why this boy was going toward the practice hall. That boy was startled for a moment but after learning that Li Feng was also a brand new disciple just like him, he relaxed a bit and started to answer Li Feng's question.
