Viết đánh giáGood first Chapter. I already read the other novel from Ark, and He is very good at word-building and power system I'm with High expectations for his second novel
13 chaps in. Mild *SPOILERS* A rich world is slowly being built and the magic system is similarly introduced bit by bit. So no massive info dumps, a big plus from me. The magic system has enormous potential and it is both rather simple and complex. There are aspects of other more common magic systems present, like spell proficiency and ‘magic power’ but they have their own newer advantages and drawbacks which is rather refreshing. Spells don’t need a chant or a mana circle or something like that, just imagination. It’s extremely versatile. Recently, a self-created status panel has been introduced to help keep track of progress. So it’s much easier to see how much MC has grown. So far the MC has shown himself to be intelligent and cautious, so you can expect to not bang your head on the wall at the stupidity of decisions. Other characters don’t seem 1-D and the dialogue isn’t unrealistic (in the confines of a fantasy world ofc). In terms of writing quality, there have been minimal mistakes and the ones that do pop up don’t really affect the experience, I don’t really notice them tbh. The Author’s other book, The Oracle Paths, is definitely one of the much better books on this site, so you can expect this kind of quality to remain. Author has a stockpile of chaps for this novel, so you can expect the update stability to remain stable. Reading just these 13 chaps alone, you won’t regret. Looking forward for what’s to come ;)
To be honest, i like the background of the world but the way the story progress is banal and always happen in a way that disrupts the MC's plans through sheer bad luck, no other reason, he is portrayed as intelligent and as a survivalist but, his actions contradict that in many ways, he also has one of the detestable traits that i hate, which is ignoring his problems or situation, reckless, implusive decision making, all in all i really don't like the character, interactions between people in general is bad , ambiguous and empty, talking without saying anything, acting as if there is a great mystery behind something simple not because there really is one but for the atmosphere and this is overused too, there is also his bad judgement making and overlooking important things by the characters when they interact with the mc like they withheld very important information relating to his survival and him not taking any grudge or speculation on the whys, it feels like author making these things just so Mc gets in trouble and again survives with his luck, overall 3.5 .
Initial Review The author's other work 'The Oracle Paths' is a masterpiece so going in this with a very high expectation. Writing Quality: It is top notch for webnovels, there may be a couple of typos but they are fixed asap after pointing them out. The author's experience really shines through. No complaints with the grammar. Story Developement: As little as the story has progressed, everything is very natural and has been done very well. Everything has a purpose, things are not drawn out and the pace is neither very fast not slow. I can recommend this. Character Design: Every character that has been introduced is distinguishable from the others. Up until now, people are acting as 'actual' people with their own motives other than just being in the background. You can really feel the medeival era through their actions and behaviour. Upldating Stability: Author has promised 1ch/day. No missed days yet. World Background: I may be biased here but the author's other work 'The Oracle Paths' has one of the best World Building I have ever read yet. So even though we know few things of the world of blood legacy, I have full confidence in the author from the initial readings.
First 😄 I am an avid reader of the author's first novel The Oracle Paths and have high expectations for this new work. While this story promises to be a lot different to TOP, I look forward to great world building and twists.
Looking forward to the new story hope it’s at least as good as TOP. Although the idea of a harem scars me a little I’ve got faith in you ark
So far only 14 chapters, but each are good. Another great novel by Ark it seems. I like the MC so far, pretty pragmatic and logical while also being smart and talented, but not inhumanly so. The characters so far seem pretty realistic (personality wise). The magic system is interesting too and there’s a clear threat in the world to them.
I had very high expectations coming into this novel because of the quality of the author’s other work, “The Oracle Paths”, and I am very happy to say that I have not been disappointed. I would actually say that the novel is even better than I anticipated.
I'll start with the good. The raw writing quality is better than average. It has fluency. It also seems like the author knows what they're trying to write and stays on track. The setting is interesting and the story unfolding has potential. I was interested in the magic system and kingdom building system. But it's also true that it's a combination of stereotypes and cliches from real life and other fiction. The author chose to include plenty of those that require a reader to tolerate a barrage of casual "benevolent" sexism, classism, ageism, ableism, fatphobia, etc. It's filled with the literary equivalent of micro aggressions. Any one instance isn't a big deal, but it adds up. After 103 chapters, I got sick of it; not because it's so egregious, but rather because there wasn't enough else going on to make me overlook it. The main character's main skill is narcissism. He drips with disdain for everyone around him. He's constantly calling people barbaric, ignorant, miserable, weak, ugly, fat, etc. He makes a show of virtue he doesn't have, playing squeamish to earn points with the reader, but is bereft of any sincere values. He seems particularly compelled sexualize or deride women especially, usually both at the same time. He is neither likable, nor particularly interesting once I got to know him. The other characters are also unlikable. First, because the MC doesn't like them and his is the main perspective. Second, because they're not well developed outside of his perspective. The two main female characters' nicknames should be Crybaby Leech and Cutie Violence. Neither seems to have appealing qualities other than existing and being hawt. The plot is... On one hand it's not bad at all. But on the other hand, it's bland and sometimes boring to me. Trivial parts like traveling or chores are drawn out too long. Many fight scenes are mediocre with extraneous details. There are far too many interludes of "humorous" squabbling between the unlikable characters that don't add anything new to them or their relationships. The worst thing, though, is the constant "payback interruptus." What's that, you ask? People keep messing with the MC and he'll resolve to get payback. But then he doesn't. Instead, he allies with them or they get killed somehow unrelated to him. It's filled with characters insulting, threatening, and attacking each other and there is a noteworthy lack of satisfying consequences. I got blue balled so much I couldn't cope anymore.
This is an amazing novel and all but author, Please don’t abandon Oracle Paths. It’s just as good if not better and is truly my favorite novel of all time like cmon. Even if its 1 chapter a day it is better than nothing.
After Jake, follow Ikaris into a brand new world !!!!! The main complaint about the beginning of the masterpiece work of Arkinslize, The Oracle Paths, is that it begins too slowly and that the first fight only happens after 20 chapters or so. Although I feel that this delay allow Jake character and the world building to develop properly, in this work Ikaris is transmigrated at the first chapter so I don't see where the haters could nag. Ikaris as a person is very different from Jake. Where the latter stayed calm due to his procrastination allowing him to step back from his own anxiousness, here Ikaris maintain his cool by cold analysis. He nonetheless have empathy, but enough sense to prioritize his own survival. Furthermore he can surpass his own immediate survival urges to plannify his future progression path. For example, when he learns that an excessive utilisation of the same spell could lead to potential personnality disorders, he decides to capitalizes on his greatest strength, his analytical capabilities. The lore, informations and regulations of the Magic power system, although fragmented and incomplete for now are extremely detailed and interesting. It is an entirely standalone and self sufficient apparatus, who have been adapted and developed for millenias. It is not the same old "And God blessed me with a random system for the lols". Every powers gained are the results of Ikaris own efforts alone. So far there is no real explanations on the mechanisms behind the transmigration, but we're only at the beginning XD Have a little patience ^^ To finish, I can add that this novel already joined my pantheon of the greatest novels, which includes The Oracle Paths, The Legendary Mechanic, Nanomancer Reborn, Worlds Apocalypse Online to quote a few of them ^^ Good reading !!!!!!!
Tiết lộ SpoilerI started to have intrest in it and even had a lot of fun reading it. I just hope that author is alright as the book is not being updated. I really hope that author doesn't drop it. Now, I can find very few harem stories in which harem is there only as secondary and main is action, mystery and thrill.
The second novel from the author I most look upon on Webnovel. It's quite early to do a good and complete review about Blood Legacy, but what it has shown is quite promising. With just 14 chapters, it is quite clear how well-thought and planned everything here is. The world is extremely rich and dense, making it feel alive and real. MC liking it, or not, the world just keeps going forward, so he must work hard if he wants to thrive in this godforsaken world. There are a lot of mysteries surrounding this novel, so give it a try and discover its secrets alongside the MC and us readers!
Honestly I'm surprised and ecstatic by how bold this author is. In 2022 while the vocal minority would hate some of this, I love it. It's so real and a welcomed breath of fresh air. Compared to your last novel, you are not holding back any punches! First off, the Grammar is top notch as always. The magic system while being a little confusing at the starts becomes quite interesting. The MC is likable so far. I'm only on chapter 20, but so far if the quality doesn't go down too much I'd give this a 4.7/5 as there is always room to improve. I only gave it that rating because the first few chapters where confusing and might turn off some people, but if you can get past chapter 10 the author starts to slowly reveal the magic system. Honestly I love slow burn when it comes to revealing how to world and magic system works. I hate reading a story only to learn in the first chapter what the level of godhood already is, no mystery... Hopefully we continue to slowly learn about the world because so far I'm excited to keep reading.
The moment I realized who the author was I had to give it a try, and I was not disappointed. This and the oracle paths are my favorite webnovels on this site and breaks my heart when I go to the rankings and find the oracle paths ranked lower than novels I consider trash 😩😭 it breaks my heart if only people could give the two novels a chance am sure they wouldn't go back to reading trash.. I'll try to be as honest and as objective as possible and I'll follow webnovel's style to do so The writing quality is top notch, but having enough experience writing his other novel I wouldn't expect something different from ark. There is maybe one or two errors but overall the writing style is solid The story development is.... I would like to think the rhythm and progress of the novel is adequate, it's not fast nor is it slow. The design of the characters is good even when a side character appears you can feel how deep they are, and not just plain and simple they have a flavor with each one The updates appear at least once every 24 hrs so you can read a chapter every day without problems If I want to talk about the world background I will need to wait a few more tomes, we have pieces of information here and there but not an info dump and while sometimes ark adds some geography to the world I would love to see more
