Chương 7: Chapter 6: The Demon Lord comes back! Will he take the throne?

My life flashed before my eyes. I felt my body split apart as the explosion tore the entire planet into nothingness. Is this the end of my life? Will I never sit on the throne that is rightfully mine?

No. I will not die here. I will not die from some pathetic old man's dying attack. It is impossible, I am the god who is supposed to lead all these people!

I slowly rose from the rubble, my limbs slowly coming back to my body. I was revived.

"I bet you thought I was dead, huh old man? Well sad for you…Oh wait, you can't hear me!"

What remained of the king was lying a few feet away from me. Although I hate to admit it he was very strong, perhaps a fraction of my strength.

"Now then. The time for the final act is now, I must take my throne. I will have the entire galaxy bowing before me very soon!"

I flew back to the planet, I was seeing it differently now. This very planet I had entered believing I was going to be the king and then being forced to think of myself as a criminal… but now when I look at it I just simply see a worthless country in need of my guidance. Luckily for it, it soon shall get my guidance.

While I was flying back towards the planet I had learned a new skill, although it was almost useless I still put it to good use. It was a skill whose only purpose was to make the user look more kingly. So as I was saying, it is almost completely useless except for now.

So I entered the palace looking much more kingly than I ever have before, I'm sure people noticed this since I had many people staring at me as I casually walked to the throne room. With the death of the king the queen would naturally take the throne, so I'll have to take care of her very quickly.

"You terrible demon lord! I can't believe you, are you truly so powerful that you can kill the king?"

"I suppose I am…since I killed the king."

"You…..how dare you!"

I looked behind me to see the enraged queen. She really did look really annoying, disposing of her would probably be smart.

"Goodbye. You will now end up just like your husband!"

"H…huh? How?"

"How dense can you be? You'll both be dead."

I said the last words with a smirk, because this all was going exactly the way I had planned.

I shot an orb of dark magic which immediately disintegrated the queen.

"Good. Now that that's taken care of, it is now time for the entire reason I came here."

I walked towards the throne room and opened the doors. Inside nobody was there, it didn't matter to me whether there were though, since I'd take the throne no matter what.

Hmmmmmm! It feels amazing to know that I'm at the top of the world now. Since I am sitting on the throne I'm legally the king! Nobody can oppose me without getting the death sentence… of course nobody can ever oppose me without getting the death sentence…

"Xalvual Evilian! You have arrived! Wh….where are my father and mother?"

Sighhhh, here comes the obnoxious princess who is so useless she can't even protect her own country….although her pouting face definitely does look cute.

"Yeah, so basically both the king and queen are dead and I'm the king. Surprise~"

"That is an awful surprise!!!"

Cilictia had tears in her eyes but other than that she didn't seem that sad. Maybe she was just good at hiding her emotions or something? Whatever, not like I even care.

"I'm not going to pledge allegiance to you just like that I hope you know!"

"Oh no. You will. I can assure you that you'll be kneeling down to me very fast. You see there has been something that you have never thought of with me."

"Wha…what?"

"You always think of me as being weaker then the demon lord I am the reincarnation of, correct?"

"Welll...Yes. That is just obvious though."

"Haha. That is where you problem is. You see, I am more powerful and more intelligent then the demon lord so say goodbye to all your dreams of taking back this throne. Because, they aren't going to happen."

Cilictia took a step back. She looked as if I had read her mind, and although I did not, it most likely seemed that way.

"Not so confident anymore are you? Now that I completely have shown you the obvious flaws in the plans you made that you thought were soooo secret. And let me guess now you have no idea what to do. Please tell me if my prediction is right, at this very moment you are thinking of ways to get rid of me so that you can take back the throne and have me executed."

Cilictia's eyes widened which made it very clear that my words were absolutely correct. She's as easy to read as a book.

"Just because you know some stupid trick for mind reading doesn't mean I'll give up on taking the throne. Just you wait… I will never give up on my country!"

"You won't give up….until I force you to, you mean. Haha, you really must watch your words, you almost make it seem like you actually think you have a chance of regaining the throne."

Her eyes seemed as if they were on fire. When I first met the princess I would never have believed we would be having this interaction… but that only made it much more entertaining.

"Leave now and tell the citizens how The Legendary Demon Lord, Xalvual Evilian, as taken the throne and will change the Intergalactic Empire to make it as it should be. Oh, and also since you will be my messenger…arrange a meeting with all the highest ranking people in the government."

"F….fine! But just in case you know I am not doing this because I'm loyal to you!!"

I feel as if Cilictia has done a complete 360 personality change. She started off as being dead pan and emotionless, and then she turned into a business-like princess….and now what's up with this???? She seems to be a complete tsundere! I will wait patiently for the time to come that she is a mindless follower of me. For the time will surely happen.
