Alex and Susan agreed with him and seemed to support Gryffindor while Alex walked silently for a while without giving an answer.
"Alex?"
"Hmm… I guess you're right. After all, he's the boy who lived right?", he asked and the others nodded like it was an obvious thing as they searched for good place to sit.
Susan was a very silent girl but something about her kept bugging him while Hannah was decently outgoing and he didn't mind her company. He saw Neville and Hermione sitting together while Ron sat alone as he cheered for his friend.
'Hmm… the future will be quite interesting now as there is no trio anymore but there is a chance of these guys forming a four-man group so I'll have to keep an eye on them.'
Everything went according to what Alex knew but his eyes were fixated on Quirrel. Hermione wasn't there to knock Quirrel off his feet this time, leading to Harry's fall.
Fortunately for him, Fred and George caught him mid-air but the whole incident cost them the match as the Seeker didn't have a broom to fly.
After the match was done, Alex returned to the castle with Hannah, Aman and Susan and spent the whole day with them as he wanted to take a day off from the grind.
The next night, he shifted his attention to curses that had the potential to kill and other offensive spells which caused destruction as knew that he would be facing Voldemort sooner or later.
'There is only so much I can do with transfiguration after all.' He thought, undermining the deadliness of transfiguration.
The room of requirements provided him with all the books and materials for him to learn and practice from and a week before Christmas, he had finished reading most of the books and had already created his own offensive spell.
Due to the lack of human contact for the past two months, he was calmer than usual and decided to change his plans of using Harry to kill Voldemort.
'I have the knowledge. I only need the power to achieve my goals and after that is done… I can start accumulating points for my test.'
He glanced at Aman, 'How will the number of friends and enemies have an affect me? Oh well, there's no point thinking about it now. Although it is easier to make enemies, I won't say no to having allies and friends.
Deep bonds are not needed. I am certain that I will have to use extreme methods from my fifth year at Hogwarts and the chances of my friends being hurt increases as I have more of them but to achieve my goals, I shouldn't be emotionally attached to them. Or at least not too much.
Anyways, my goal is to act according to the sins for the year and gather more points. I can plan for other stuff when I'm way stronger than Dumbledore.'
Christmas was just a week away so he began to do some preparations.
In the night, for the whole week, he sneaked into the forbidden forest using his disillusionment charm along with charms that masked his smell and sound.
His doubts had been confirmed when he found a Unicorn's corpse after two days when he wandered a bit too deep into the forest. He checked if there was anything or anyone near him before he began examining the body.
'The heart is missing… Voldy is quite desperate hehe. Thank you for leaving me such a good treasure.'
He cleaned up the body before separating the hair, skin, meat, bones and organs. He placed them all in different boxes and shrunk them down before placing them all in his pocket.
In the next five days, he found three more corpses and took them too. On the day when he had to go home, he packed everything including his books and materials as he wanted to leaving nothing behind.
Toffy was extremely happy to see his master but Alex wanted to make use of every second he had and didn't give him much attention.
"I'll be going to Gringotts. Make me some lunch before I return."
"Yes, master." Toffy replied as he saw Alex open the door and walk out.
Alex walked into the bank and headed to the closest goblin he in his proximity.
"I would like to own a vault in my name."
"State you full name, please?" said the goblin in a croaky voice.
"Alex Jordan."
"There is a vault in the name of Jordan already. The vault was emptied a bit more than a year ago by the ministry."
"Hmm alright, do I get to use it?"
"Yes, but you will have to pay fifty galleons to re-open it."
Alex simply turned around and walked out without bothering to reply.
'I only have a few Galleons… where should I get so many galleons from? My asshole?'
"Thui! Fucking goblins!" he muttered as he spat on the ground with pure disgust.
On his way back home, he visited Ollivanders as he wanted a wand that fit him well but had his hopes smashed when he was told that the cost of a single wand was forty Galleons.
"Hey… doesn't a wand cost about seven Galleons?"
"Oh, did you hear that from Harry Potter?"
"Yes."
"Someone paid for him. I only charged him the extra amount"
"So… the wands with the cores made of dragon heartstring and the unicorn hair cost forty Galleons while the phoenix feather wands cost about seventy?"
"You are right."
"Alright then, I'll take my leave since I do not have that much money."
"Have a nice day." Said Olivander as Alex exited from the shop before getting back to work.
Nothing seemed to be working for him that day so he decided to just sleep until next morning even though he slept through the whole train ride. He had his warm dinner and went to sleep after a bit of reading as he couldn't directly fall asleep.
He could use his magic but he didn't feel like it was necessary as he wasn't in any kind of emergency and it would be a bit detrimental as magic didn't actually provide proper, natural sleep.
