"So why did you ask me about werewolf wizards before?" Dougett asked playfully.
Ivan rolled his eyes. He considered hiring werewolves to help him find information about Knockturn Alley because they were poor and desperate for money.
When the Ministry of Magic investigated his shop, Ivan learned how little he knew.
All the information he had was either from the system mission, or from either Alicia or Doggett.
In such a dangerous place as Knockturn Alley, it would not do to go without information,
It was for this reason that Ivan targeted the werewolves,
This was further reinforced by the fact that there were clear instructions for Ivan to keep an eye out for any fugitives from the Ministry.
However, Ivan did not say any of these things out loud. He felt that if he mentioned them, Dougett might imagine them again.
Ivan's silence confirmed Doggett's suspicions, and he grew more interested in the Wolfsbane Potion.
He immediately decided to go all out and help Ivan develop the Wolf Poison Potion within a year!
As such, before leaving, Doggett took two bottles of werewolf blood with him to study.
Ivan couldn't stop him, so he let him take the two bottles of blood.
When they got home, Ivan was so excited that he started brewing the Wolfsbane Potion. All the ingredients had been prepared a few days ago, and all that was missing was werewolf blood.
Calming flower, fig skin, sage root…
Ivan mixed the ingredients one by one and added them to the cauldron. He then added a little werewolf blood and stirred it gently. The cauldron immediately boiled and bubbled…
A moment later, the potion in the cauldron erupted like lava from a volcano…
This meant that the brewing of the potion had failed!
Fortunately, the cauldron did not explode, and Ivan was able to react quickly enough to avoid being injured.
"Clean it up!" Ivan ordered, waving his wand to clear the mess.
The spilled potion juice and waste were gathered by the magic and thrown into the bin as rubbish.
"Well… I don't think there's enough moonstone powder for the fusion potion. I'll add a little more this time!" After dealing with it, Ivan thought about the mistake he had made earlier and rearranged the ingredients for the other Wolf Venom Potion.
One defeat did not shake Ivan.
He had known for a long time that wolf venom was difficult to brew. Among the ingredients, other than mild ingredients like Calming Flowers and Moonstone Powder, there were also many conflicting ingredients that could fail if brewed carelessly.
However, seeing that he was nearing Grade 5 in Potions, Ivan felt that there was no need to use his GPA, so he began to brew the Wolf's Bane Potion again.
This time, Ivan was very careful, following the instructions step by step.
After an hour of struggle, the potion in the cauldron gradually stabilized from a muddy mess to a thick liquid.
"Phew… finally!" Ivan was relieved. He had said that it should work. Otherwise, the recipe given by the system should have shown the prerequisite level of Potions.
After setting the Wolfsbane Potion aside, Ivan moved on to the next bottle, stopping only when all the ingredients had been used up.
"About sixty percent success rate," Ivan muttered, looking at the discarded potion ingredients in the bin.
Perhaps only by leveling up Potions to Level 5 would one be able to brew the Wolf Venom Potion with a hundred percent success rate.
As for the cost, Ivan estimated it to be around two or three Galleons. The most expensive ingredient was werewolf blood, and each bottle, whether successful or not, required one hundred milliliters of werewolf blood.
With that done, Ivan repaired the damaged protective ring from the previous battle.
It had been used several times during the afternoon battle, and the material of the protective ring had been damaged by the magical waves. Although it seemed to be functional, it was better to repair it just in case.
The Ring of Magic also required charging.
Ivan was frustrated at the thought. There was no limit on the number of times he could use the Ring of Magic after it was repaired, but it had to be charged and infused with magic before it could be used.
Ivan had also figured out the general meaning of the runes, which were simply stored and released.
This leads to the Ring of Magic having a very poor use of magic,
If the total amount of magic in his body was one unit, then the Ring of Magic would need five units to be full.
The only good thing was that it could be released without being fully stored, although the effect was not very good.
After infusing most of her magic into the Aura of Magic, Ivan realized that it was already dawn. He quickly turned off the lights and went to bed.
…
"Ivan Hals!" Alicia's voice called from downstairs.
In her daze, Ivan heard Alicia shouting downstairs.
Yawning, Ivan rolled out of bed and ran down the stairs. Every time his mother called him by his full name, it was for an emergency or he was in trouble.
When they reached the bottom of the stairs, Ivan was relieved to find that Alicia had called him because someone from the Ministry had arrived.
The three Aurors who came were Dawlish, Ellison, and Sunny, who came to receive the last of the protective gear,
Before Ivan could say hello, Isiah urged him to pick up the Weasleys' joke toy merchandise, which he left in a pile when it arrived.
Ivan had to make another trip, dragging down a large package and placing it on the table.
"Captain Dawlish, how is the Ministry cleanup going?"
Due to the previous system mission prompt, Ivan was very concerned about this.
"It's not good. Several colleagues have been injured in the past few days." Dawlish hesitated, then decided to tell the truth.
"However, it is much better than before. Thanks to your protective props, none of the Auror captains who used the protective rings were injured."
At this point, Dawlish was somewhat relieved that he had been caught in a large area of Dark Magic while leading his team in a major Ministry of Magic operation a few days ago. Fortunately, his protective ring had helped him, or he would be in the hospital with his colleagues.
The seventy Galleons were well spent!
