"I am finished," Amelia said, placing her knife and fork down on the empty plate. "It was delicious. Please tell the cook," she informed the maid who had brought her food. "I will retire to bed now. Goodnight Alastor," she stood up from her seat.
Amelia rolled her eyes when Killian stood up along with her. He barely touched the food on his plate and should have left the table long ago. Still, she wouldn't mind his company back to the room.
Amelia took in the beauty of the castle with the lanterns lighting up the halls. "Your castle is quite beautiful. I don't think I have complimented it enough."
"Thank you. The people we stole it from had a good eye," Killian replied.
At this point, nothing that came out of Killian's mouth stunned her at this point. She had a feeling that a bunch of demons had not built this from the ground up. The Blackwell was so close by that it could have been their castle Killian stole.
