Chương 14: #12 Akame vs Ren

When Akame felt Ren's killing intent her eyes widened a bit from shock. But she immediately changed to "attacking-at-any-moment" stance.

'This man is strong, I have to be extra careful' Akame thought and already prepared herself for battle.

Ren's eyes narrowed and in flash pull out his daggers and enchanted them with Wind energy, he also focused his Death energy into his eyes causing time to be slowed by 25%. He could make it even slower but his eyes could be damaged if he used Death energy poorly. He didn't dare to underestimate great assassin who could kill Esdeath in head on fight.

"Will you move or will I have to make you move?" Ren asked in cold tone.

"Akamee, lets stop it for tonight.... our goal is already reached why need to fight him?" Leone tried to convince Akame but she didn't listen

'This man's killing intent is maybe even stronger than mine and sister's, he is for sure corrupted, why would he even be in this storehouse' Akame kept thinking without listening to Leone's reasoning.

'Corrupted must be eliminated!' With this thought Akame started attacking Ren with her Murasame without any rational thinking.

Ren parried her first strike with his daggers relatively easily but still felt power behind the strike.

'She really wants to kill me huh?' Ren's entire face changed and his anger from before turned into calmness with expressionless face he started gazing on Akame like a prey.

Akame felt change in the air but decided to continue her attack and thrusted her Murasame towards Ren's heart, Ren redirected her attack with one dagger and with other he attacked her shoulder.

With Akame's reflexes she was able to evade dagger but she was slowly losing her momentum due to Ren having 2 weapons enchanted with Wind energy.

Meanwhile Leone who was watching fight kept thinking 'Why does that boy seems familiar?'

Akame frowned when she saw how Ren was pushing her back. 'I have to increase my speed hopefully I won't have to use Murasame's trump card.'

Akame with even greater speed started attacking but with Ren's slowed time he was able to keep up. Ren still haven't send his Wind energy to his legs, He wanted to see how far Akame can push him without going all out.

After seeing that her attacks weren't effective she decided to give final push and even more accelerated her speed and started attacking Ren from multiple directions. Ren was barely able to block her combo of attacks after some time he got shallow cut on his shoulder.

Seeing one of her attacks find target she immediately backed 10 meteres from Ren and said: "You were strong, I will remember you"

But even after 10 seconds nothing happened. Akame stared at Ren in disbelief.

"How?" "How can you survive cut from Murasame?!" This time Akame was totally shocked, none of her targets was able to survive after getting cut from Murasame.

Ren replaced his expressionless with mocking grin.

"You are not half bad girl" said Ren while massaging his shoulder so it looks like he is applying some medicine. After he let go of his shoulder no cut was seen, only pale white skin.

Akame had thoughts of activating her trump card but still hesitated a little.

When it looked like round 2 will begin soon, Tatsumi who was conflicted whether stand up for Ren or just watch heard weak voice right behind him

"Tatsumi, you..must stop...them. He..saved..us."

When Tatsumi looked behind him he saw conscious Sayo

"Sayo!!! How are you feeling?!" Tatsumi asked with tears in his eyes.

"I am here too idiot.." Responded Leyasu who too regained consciousness

"HAHA" Tatsumi started happily laughing since his friends were fine.

"Now is not time to laugh idiot. Go and help him!" Sayo and Leyasu said in unison.

Just when Akame were taking her stance once again shout could be heard:

"STOP!!!"

"What do you mean?" Akame questioned Tatsumi who shout out.

"My friends just regained consciousness and explained that Ren saved them! So please stop attacking him!" Tatsumi said to Akame

After few seconds of looking suspiciously at Ren she sheated her Murasame and walked to Leone who wasn't paying any attention and still thinking about something.

"? Leo-" Just when Akame was trying to wake Leone from her thoughts she heard he scream out

"HA! Finally I learned why you seem so familiar boy. You are that recently famous Ryu the Demon right?!" Asked Leone while pointing her finger at Ren

Ren looked at her like she was idiot and said: "That was year ago and It's not really a secret..."

Tatsumi was really surprised that Ren was the Ryu but he decided not to make it hard for him since he saved his friends.

"Anyway I will be going" Ren instantly left before anyone could block his way again.

When Ren left he didn't go too far away and stayed close to them while concealing his presence. Leone asked Tatsumi about his plans and decided to take his friends to Night Raid's base. When they were leaving he instructed Shadow:

'Go follow them and find out their base'

Shadow just nodded in serious manner and flew off.

On their way to their base Akame asked Leone about Ren

"Leone you know that Ren or Ryu guy?"

"It took me a while before I remembered but yeah. Year ago he made himself quite fame in guild. I wonder how strong he really is." Leone answered to Akame who had annoyed look on her face

"You weren't paying attention but I actually fought him and he really is strong, most importantly he survived cut from Murasame." Akame responded to Leone in annoyed tone.

"HE DID WHAT?!!!" Leone was totally shocked by these news.

"So he isn't only handsome but also super strong...Ugh I should have marked him" Leone dejectedly mumbled to herself.

But Akame didn't listen to her mumbling and thought to herself: 'Why entire fight seemed more like a training to him...and that mocking grin when I cut him...' Akame stopped thinking about that and focused on returning to group.

"What took you so long?!" Mine asked hysterically.

"I will explain back at base" Akame responded calmly

With that entire group were returning to their group but no one noticed Crow flying behind them.
