The flight to Patch was filled with an awkward silence as he mentally debated with Kurama about Weiss and Winter.
Magna, having zero clue when it came to the opposite sex, didn't know what to think about the kiss they gave him while Kurama, a being that has lived for thousands of years, insisted that the kiss was more than a simple gesture.
As Magna continued to deny the kiss being anything more than a simple goodbye, Kurama finally got fed up as he roared, [MY GOD! YOUR WORSE THAN THAT IDIOT NARUTO!]
This managed to bring Magna out of his thoughts as he sighed. He just didn't want to misunderstand their intentions.
Plus, they were only kids! Their feelings might change when they grow older. Hell, they might even forget him.
As Kurama was fully able to 'hear' his thoughts, he couldn't help but roll his eyes as he remembered Hinata being in love with Naruto since they were kids. The only time she started losing those feelings was when she had grown up and become an adult.
Because Naruto had waited to long and not made any moves towards courting Hinata, she started to think realistically about how she was growing older with no one to share her life with.
It was only when that pale prick Toneri kidnapped Hinata that he realised she meant much more to him than just a friend.
Magna couldn't help but sit down as he truly didn't know what to think. Time idly passed by as he simply watched the clouds roll by, deciding to face these thoughts in the future.
In other words, he decided to run away. Hours passed by when the sound of the pilot echoed across the ship, "We are now entering Patch city airspace. ETA is 20 minutes. Would our only passenger please prepare."
Magna smiled for a second before walking over to the communication system as he pressed a button and said, "You guys can turn back around. I'll just fly over from here."
The comms were silent for a minute before the pilots voice replied, "Okay. We have to go to Patch to refuel so are you sure you'd rather fly on your own?"
Magna stretched his limbs abit before saying, "It's fine. I'm gonna go now, thanks for the ride."
Turning intangible, Magna closed his eyes as he allowed himself to fall backwards. His body passed through the ship before bursting towards Patch at a much higher speed than the airship.
He knew that the airship could go faster but he also knew that there were strict flight laws that prohibited going over a certain speed.
Flying through the sky was such an exhilarating feeling. The sense of freedom and excitement came second to none as he started showboating.
Barrel rolls, zigzags, he even acted like a dolphin as he dove into the ground only to resurface a couple feat away before diving back down.
After having his fun, it only took him roughly 10 minutes to arrive at Signal Academy. The school was still being rebuilt as classes were cancelled until further notice.
Looking over the rebuilding process, Magna felt a twinge of pain in his heart as he remembered the day those men took Emerald. He had no clue what they might being doing to her but he absolutely hated the fact that he allowed them to slip away.
Reaffirming the need to grow stronger, Magna decided that straight after healing his teacher, he would activate a new star cluster just so his aura reserves could grow.
Continuing forward, Magna easily navigated the dense forestry surrounding Taiyang's home. However, once he arrived about 5 minutes away from the house, something caught his eye.
As it was late in the afternoon, bordering on sunset, Magna didn't expect to see Yang, pulling a small red wagon with a blanket inside. Her eyes screamed with fatigue as cuts and bruised littered her tired body but she continued forward.
Even her hair, something she cared deeply about, was extremely messy yet she pushed on. Opting to go invisible, Magna transformed just in case something happens as his powers become stronger when he's in his ghost form.
Silently following her from behind, Magna watched on in concern as an hour passed by but she showed no signs of stopping. By now, her feet were bleeding as sweat poured out from her body.
She wobbled back and forth but still continued onwards. Magna couldn't help but worry as he thought to himself, 'What the hell is she doing!?!'
Just as Magna was about to show himself…
*haah*
A wisp of teal breath left his mouth as a huge beowolf jumped towards Yang. This beowolf was considerably larger than any other beowolf he's ever seen, and it's body was almost entirely covered in bone armour.
"An alpha…" Muttered Yang in absolute terror.
Instead of running, Yang instantly shielded the wagon with her body as a huge black claw descended on her.
As he watched the claw zoom towards her unprotected back, something inside Magna clicked as he roared, "DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HER!!!"
A small green orb appeared as Magna thrust his palm towards the alpha beowolf, shooting an intense beam of ghostly aura.
The beam hit the alpha like a truck, sending it flying through the forest.
Fighting through the headache, Magna zipped infront of Yang as he mentally slapped himself for just watching.
Trembling in pain, Yang desperately clung to a crying Ruby and their little puppy, Zwei. Tapping her shoulder, Magna softly said, "Don't worry Yang. Your safe now, I'm here."
Yang didn't reply, causing Ruby to cry louder as she trembled in fear, "I-Is Yang alright? Magna, I wanna go home… it's scary out here…"
Seeing Ruby reduced to tears, Magna gave her the most gentle and reassuring smile he could muster as he ruffled her hair and said, "Don't worry your cute little head, Ruby. As long as I'm here, no harm will ever come to you."
Suddenly, a roar bellowed from where Magna sent the alpha flying as a pair of glowing yellow eyes glared at Magna from the forest. The alpha slowly walked over, looking as if Magna's attack did nothing.
Seeing into the alpha's glowing eyes, Ruby pulled Yang into her blanket and felt like bursting into tears when a silhouette appeared before her.
She slowly gazed upward and saw Magna, standing tall with no fear in his eyes as a small smile adorned his face.
Like a spark was ignited in her heart, Ruby stared at him with stars in her eyes, feeling like she was in the safest place in the world as Magna's words slowly replayed in her head.
'Don't worry your cute little head, Ruby. As long as I'm here, no harm will ever come to you.'

Seeing the alpha practically unharmed, Magna came to the conclusion that Danny's ghost ray needed to be charged before it could do any real damage.
That wasn't to say the alpha got away unscathed. The spot where Magna attacked had a bunch of small cracks. They weren't that prominent but it showed that Magna's attack worked.
Deciding to test his new ability, Magna channeled his aura into his fingers as he aimed at the alpha with a finger gun.
"Bang!"
As soon as Magna spoke, a green beam shot from his finger towards the alpha. However, unlike last time, the alpha was ready for him as it easily dodged the beam before quickly charging towards him.
Refusing to remain idle, Magna flew towards the alpha as his fists glowed a bright green. Phasing through the alpha's claws, Magna drilled his fist into the alpha's face.
The glow around Magna's fist seemed to amplify his attack as he sent the alpha flying through a couple trees before it finally came to a stop. The alpha slowly stood up as a large crack appeared on its skull mask.
With the glow in its eyes growing fiercer, the alpha let loose a violent roar as it unleashed an insane amount of high speed slashes towards Magna.
Unfortunately for the alpha, Magna just once again phased through its attacks as he quickly whipped his leg towards it. Just like when he amped his fists, when Magna's leg made contact with the alpha, it was sent flying once again.
However, the distance it flew was shortened due to Magna amping his attack just before his attack connected.
As he looked towards the slowly recovering alpha, Magna frowned as he decided to end this. Holding his hand outwards with his palm facing up, Magna began to charge his aura into a glowing green sphere.
As each second passed, the green glow of the orb intensified. It's not as if the alpha was waiting for Magna to finish charging, it's just that Magna would use his intangibility to dodge when it attacks before giving a rather normal boot to the back.
After 30 seconds passed of leading the alpha along, Magna swiftly ducked under it's claw swipe instead of phasing through as he viciously slammed the orb into the alpha's chest and roared, "TAKE THIS YOU OVERGROWN MUTT!!!"
Instead of exploding, the orb shot forward and dragged the alpha through tree after tree before imploding, taking the alpha and the surrounding forestry with it.
Magna, dumbfounded by what just happened, scrathced his cheek and awkwardly muttered to no one in particular, "Did NOT expect that to happen…"
