Chương 41: The Head warden

It was night time,

A vortex appeared in Arthur's room and startled the poor clone who was fast asleep.

Arthur appeared out of the vortex

"Took you long enough" The clone commented while rubbing his sleepy eyes.

"It was quite an ordeal but the rewards are also very ludicrous." Arthur replied as he change his battered clothes

"Seems like it" Arthur's clone commented seeing the state of his clothes. "Btw a lot of things happen today... "

"Like? " Arthur asked

"I am too sleepy to report this verbally so just see my memories after I dispelled the jutsu" The clone spoke lazily.

"Fine " Arthur sighed, wondering how his clone is more tired then him, who literally fought a life or death battle.

*Poof* the clone disappeared in a rush of white clouds

Immediately the memories of the clone started flowing inside his mind.

[After 15 minutes]

"Meng li wants to meet me? I am from the yang palace!? " Arthur exclaimed exasperated. A headache was coming his way as he reconsider his choices to trust his clone.

Arthur closed his eyes and sat down near the window, below the full moon contemplating his options.

"I can't maintain this farce for long, it's only a matter of time before someone figures out that I am not the yang palace young master...

If that happens then I will get chased down by both the li clan and the yang palace. "

A rare solemn expression adorned Arthur's face as he gaze his scarlet eyes towards the distant horizon, unfocused but perhaps, his eyes were fixated on something else, the Wu mansion.

His memories...

'Tom...I will do what I have to'

His face determined.

A black cloak appeared out of thin air as Arthur wrapped it around himself, along with a fox anbu mask.

His kaleidoscope eyes spun as he vanished into a spiral.

A mysterious fox masked individual appeared on top of a tower in the city square, the gentle wind caressing his long cloak.

'Wu mansion, was it just a coincidence that you were a part of this or was it some part of a greater conspiracy? '

Arthur jumped down from the tower

"Looks like only time will tell... KAMUI! "

......

In the dead of the night, far out in the east of the Li compound, surrounded by steep mountains on one side and a dessert valley on the other, stood a giant menacing castle. The prison of the li clan.

A fox masked figure was standing aimlessly in front of a prison cell. Nobody knows for how long.

Perhaps nobody has felt his presence that's why he stood so unperturbed.

The room of the head warden

An old man with his majestic white hair was asleep in his throne when suddenly he opened his golden hawk eyes.

"Intruder"

He spoke with a low voice before vanishing from his throne.

.....

Arthur was still standing mindlessly near the prison cell, wearing his fox mask and black cloak, his eyes lost in his own thought when he heard the thumping of footsteps... Coming towards him.

Thump... Thump...

The footsteps were heavy.

Thump... Thump...

It's weighed sound echoing throughout the dark corridors

Thump... Thump...

The sounds of footsteps were nearing Arthur who still stood unbothered, gazing at the prison cell.

Thump...

The footsteps halted as the person now stood near Arthur, Moonlight shone through the only window in the corridor, revealing the face of the head warden, his white beard, golden hawk like eyes with an experienced but firm face. His back carrying a dual heavy sabers, decorated with jewels and gems.

[Host, the metal sounds of his footstep suggest that he has learned the Goliath footwork, 1000 tons of weight is present in his every footstep

Be careful! ]

Arthur still stood unbothered even after the warning of the system. His eyes still fixated at the prison cell.

"You have arrived" Arthur spoke casually

"Were you waiting for me? " The head warden asked calmly.

"Just for someone with enough authority" Arthur replied, his voice changed by the fox mask.

"What is that suppose to mean? " The head warden asked, his hawk like eyes scanning Arthur like his prey.

"This... " Arthur pointed towards the prison cell which he was watching so earnestly before, the moonlight lit up the cell revealing a dead corpse inside.

The head warden shifted his gaze towards the corpse but he wasn't surprised, instead he looked back at Arthur and calmly asked

"Who are you? "

Arthur shifted his gaze back towards the head warden and replied

"I? They call me Robin Hood the righteous thief"

"A righteous thief? " The head warden scoffed.

"I just want to uncover some mysteries and answers to some questions, for instance why is this bandit who is related with the case of assassination of feng li dead...

Did you kill him? " Arthur asked.

*Claaang*

The sound of saber unsheathing echoed throughout the corridor as the head warden slowly pulled out his jewelled sabers.

"Measure your next words very carefully" The head warden spoke softly but his voice contained an underlying storm.

Without heeding any attention to the warning,

Arthur looked at the jewelled sabers and spoke with a rare angered tone.

"Do you know moryo "

*Chiiiiiing*

The prison corridor erupted in the dazzling white light of the sabers as the sound of saber reverberating echoed throughout the air.

*Boooom*

The back side of the prison castle exploded as the blinding light rushed out towards the forest, razing every tree it touched to the ground.
