Among the Three Demons of the Witch Heart, the lowest tier is the Water Demon, yet he possesses the most formidable power. Especially when it rains or when near lakes, rivers, or even the sea, the strength of the water monsters reaches its peak. In contrast, the Wind Demon and the Earth Demon are based in New York, occupying advantageous positions, but they lack the raw power of the Water Demon.
As the turbulent current crashed down, it overwhelmed all the mages of Kama Taj. The relentless deluge completely destroyed most of the remaining village ruins, washing away each Kama Taj mage caught in its grasp.
At the same time, Abel transformed into black smoke and soared into the sky, evading the brunt of the torrent. The Ancient One opened an invisible barrier around herself, effortlessly resisting the current's erosion. Mages like Kaecilius, Mordor, Wong, and Daniel combined their magic to shield themselves and each other, temporarily warding off the flood.
Stepping forward, the Ancient One formed seals with her hands. Flames shot from her fingertips, flying in all directions to encase each Kama Taj mage swept away by the water, creating shields that helped them resist the current and stabilize themselves.
As the water flow slowly stabilized, a massive figure of water began to coalesce behind the Witch Heart Demon, its mouth filled with sharp teeth made of liquid. The Water Demon let out a roar that echoed with a thirst for blood, directed at the mages of Kama Taj.
In the midst of this chaos, Abel hovered in the air, surveying the scene below. The number of demons now swelled to ten times their previous count, and his expression turned serious. Although facing a sheer increase in numbers wasn't insurmountable for the combined strength of the Kama Taj mages and the Ancient One, Abel sensed that many of the newly emerged demons were formidable in their own right. This would not be an easy battle.
It appeared that the Witch Heart Demon in reality was far more potent than he had remembered from the movies. As Mephisto's creation and a prince of the demon dimension, this entity posed a legitimate threat—one that made the cinematic version of the Prince of Hell seem trivial by comparison.
Suddenly, a house exploded, flames surging forth and evaporating the nearby water. The Ghost Rider emerged, wielding a chain wreathed in hellfire and roaring furiously at both the Witch Heart Demon and the Water Demon. The flames on his body blazed hotter, enough for Abel, hovering above, to feel the heat radiating.
The Ghost Rider swung the flaming chain, wrapping it around a nearby half-collapsed structure. The hellfire spread quickly, igniting the house, which he then hurled like a meteor toward the Witch Heart Demon and Water Demon.
Seeing the projectile, the Water Demon unleashed a powerful jet of water, creating a steam cloud that enveloped the area. While the water couldn't extinguish hellfire, it prevented the fiery object from reaching its target.
Within the steam, the Witch Heart Demon broke free and charged directly at the Ghost Rider. Ignoring the licking flames, he seized the Ghost Rider's head and slammed him into the ground. Tentacle-like hair from the demon's head shot out, wrapping around nearby boulders and walls, lifting them before hurling them at the Ghost Rider.
The Witch Heart Demon, now towering over the debris, prepared to gloat when suddenly, a chain of hellfire burst forth from beneath the boulders, ensnaring his neck and dragging him into the rubble, causing a cascade of rocks to collapse.
In the next instant, hellfire ignited the right side of the Witch Heart Demon's face, incinerating flesh down to the bone. He was flung backward from the rubble, visibly injured yet recovering swiftly.
With the ground beneath him now molten, the Ghost Rider stepped forward, each footfall sending ripples through the lava. The collapsed boulders around him melted quickly, transforming into flowing lava that pooled at his feet.
Despite his injuries, the right side of the Witch Heart Demon's face healed at an astonishing rate. Fixing his gaze on the Ghost Rider enveloped in hellfire, he bellowed, "All demons, heed my command! Now, kill those human mages!"
As the command rang out, the assembled demons charged at the Kama Taj mages once more.
The Ancient One responded swiftly, forming a folding fan-like magic circle and launching it at the demons. "Destroy these fiends! Ensure your own safety!" she ordered her mages.
The fan-like magic circle sliced through the air, decapitating two demons in one stroke before driving straight toward the Witch Heart Demon and the Water Demon.
The Ghost Rider also surged forward, intent on attacking the Witch Heart Demon. But at that moment, the Water Demon received a signal from the Witch Heart Demon, collapsing into a burst of water that spread out and merged with the nearby lakes and rivers, transforming into a subspace that isolated the Kama Taj mages, including the Ancient One, the Ghost Rider, and Abel, who had yet to escape the area engulfed by the torrent.
As Abel looked around, he realized he was trapped in a space resembling an underwater aquarium. He knew that to escape, he would need to defeat the Water Demon, but it was evident that this demon was far more cunning than the Earth Demon and wouldn't reveal itself easily.
Just then, ripples appeared on the water curtain surrounding him, and demons began to emerge from the waves, grinning menacingly as they approached Abel.
