บท 42: The Key
- Modern Country, at the faraway overseas -
Venusa Shen awakened abruptly from a long dark nightmare of pure agony and misery on a pure white jail room.
Unable to rise up because all of her limbs were securely tied, she was screaming in frustration while trying to untie herself by force power. The straps on her limbs didn't budge, after a long while, she gave up trying.
Her innocent wide eyes were scanning her surroundings for any familiarity, but everything was alienated in her eyes.
Then from the corner of her eyes, she saw a beautiful woman entering the room but her head was still clouded and blurred with confusion, unable to concentrate or focus with her void mind to guess her whereabouts or the identity of any of them.
Joelle Lang was staring at the captive woman with high intensity to observe the final evaluation.
After a week of hypnotic sessions, the delicate woman was still holding on to her last thread.., for reason unknown, she was unable to completely altered her memory.
Suspiciously, she was checking on her blood and it was as clear as the bright sky that the alluring woman that her son loved had been pregnant for a month. The other man had planted his seed successfully, thus, preventing Joelle Lang to altered her memory due to her pregnancy. Against the code of conduct as a psychiatrist, she had abducted the woman for his son's happiness, hence, she would let her delivered her baby safely as compensation. Also, she could use her baby as a key method to altered her memory.
Persistently, she began the session and the keyword was the woman pregnancy and baby to be...
After 2 hours session, Joelle Lang was able to alter Venusa's memory...
Her name was altered to 'Sallie Lang'. She was running away from her husband because he was already married to another woman in secret but knowing she was pregnant, she chose to return to his side, even though it hurt her to think of her status as a concubine. For now, she would stay for her baby wellbeing. Later, she could decide what to do..., but right now, she would only focus on delivering her baby safely.
'My baby...My baby...', Venusa thought relentlessly.
Then her mind was swirling around with just her baby on her thought..., everything else was unimportant...
Joelle Lang ended her hypnotic session by saying," Stay here until you delivered your baby, Sallie..."
No longer Venusa Shen..., Sallie Lang nodded happily while still in a trance...
"One..., two..., three..., wake up Sallie!!"
Joelle Lang successfully made a new woman out of her.
"Mother in Law...", called the newly born woman with a wide smile.
"Sallie..., are you alright now?!!"
The new given name had encrypted within her new altered memory. With the alteration method, her husband became Nick Lang and her name, Sallie Lang and nothing beyond that.
However, she knew that she was pregnant and would do anything in her life to protect her baby. Her baby was the only key in her memory to survive any hardship.
Nick Lang impatiently waiting for his mother in the spacious modern office room. The mental institution was secretly built in the Modern hospital underground. The wealthiest were willing to pay a fortune for Joelle Lang hypnotist service.
As the sole owner of the hospital and the secret institution, Joelle Lang's hypnotist power was acknowledged not just by the Modern country, but also by the overseas countries. The Modern country ruled by the President and his cabinets, however, Joella Lang's power surpassed all of them combined together because of her ability as the number one hypnotist master, therefore, the richest and powerful men were looking for her and willing to give up either power or money in exchange for her help. Hence, her influential prowess could decide one's fate and destiny.
Joelle Lang entered the room and sat casually without addressing Nick Lang's presence.
"Mother..., when can I see her?!!"
She answered as a matter of fact," After she gave birth!"
Nick Lang was shocked by the announcement, abruptly he got up from his chair and standing in front of his mother, and angrily, he banged the office table with his hands, then he said with a disbelief tone, " You will let her delivered her baby? But why?!!"
"I told you, you couldn't force love, but I am giving you a chance to get her to love you, but in order to do so you must let her keep the baby and raise the baby as your own!"
"That is not fair!"
"Life is not fair, we kidnapped her from her family, which is an unfair situation for her, hence we are her new family. If you truly love her, you will accept the baby as your own. Also, the baby was the key to my successful hypnotic..., anything happens to the baby, she will recover her old memory, thus you must protect both of them if you really want to gain her love and trust. I can alter her memory but her heart I couldn't do so. Everything will depend on you, I can keep the person for you but not her heart".
Nick Lang sighed heavily and said with confidence, " I will wait for her patiently and make her mine!"
- Meanwhile at The Emperor city, the Emperor meeting room -
Alex Lee was looking at Lone Wolf with anticipation for the new clues of his mother's whereabouts.
Right to the point, Lone Wolf said, " We have confirmed that Nick Lang was indeed the person who kidnapped your mother, however, we didn't know where he took her! One of his servants at his resident told us that he was running to his hometown, somewhere overseas. But he didn't know any information besides that Nick Lang's mother owned weird gadgets that were out of this world..., so he was convinced that she is an immortal, also because she looks way younger than her son!"
"Modern gadgets..., we need to check the overseas countries..., I need my uncle to help me.., Agent 001, tomorrow you will go to the Faraway island to inform my uncle of our situation!"
"Thanks for your command, Young Master!"
"Lone Wolf..., I want to make a big boat, this is the list of materials that I need, please get all of them within two days!".
"Yes, Young Master!!!"
- The Emperor private room -
Right after the meeting, Alex Lee headed up to see his dad.
Damian Shen had been unconscious for a week. After they were sure that all the citizens and officials would not cause an uprising, they moved him to the palace private room which was originally the Emperor's room. Since the country no longer had an Emperor, it could only be right, to make the most powerful marshal as the next person to rule the country.
Alex Lee was talking softly to agent 003 who was sitting on the bed to administer acupuncture on his dad's head areas," Why he was still unconscious?!"
"The impact was quite a blow on his neurons system. Today, the swollen area was finally diminished, so I could do the acupuncture treatment to wake him up. Let's hope nothing was wrong within his brain sensor. If anything, I have a way to recover his memory but it would require time and patience."
At that moment , agent 003 was taking out all the needles to clear out the leftover blood clot, which proven to be successful when he triggered movement on his fingers.
After a while, Damian Shen's eyes were blinking and slowly he opened his eyes.
"Daddy!!!"
However, the very confused Damian Shen didn't recognize anyone. He was staring at them coldly while his mind tried to make sense of everything and everyone around him.
Leah Shen was entering the room with a bucket of warm water and towel, when she saw her daddy was conscious, she shouted," Daddy!!"
He didn't respond...
He was looking at all of them as a stranger and with a confused look of a rabbit in the hunting ground.
Definitely, his memory had forsaken him...., since he failed to recognize everyone in the room.
....
After asking Damian Shen numerous questions, agents 003 concluded," He lost the memory of six years ago..., I will find a way to recover his memory if it something physical but if this related to his psychology stance, his heart had to gradually heal in order for him to recover his memory!".
