บท 13: Chapter 13
Jack felt very excited as he observed the various shops beside the road.
He had never put his foot outside the mansion before this.
Although his Mansion is very big and there are various places to play and see, but he had started to feel bored while living there.
"Brother Jack, let's first eat something at that place. "
Jack came outside of his thoughts and followed his friend to a small restaurant type shop.
As they entered inside, they can see various people eating and despite being a very small shop it is well cleaned and decorated.
They sat on a chair beside an empty table and waited.
After some moments, a beautiful waitress came towards them.
"What do you need, Sir." She asked politely.
"Umm brother Jack, how about we eat those dango." Ned asked pointing at some people.
"Whatever you think is better." Jack replied.
"Alright, we want two full plates of dango."
Hearing their order, the waitress left.
After sometime an errand boy came with their order.
"Sir your order." He said as he put the full plates of dango on in front of them.
Jack ate the first bite and felt delighted because it was very delicious.
"Brother Jack, it's very tasty." Ned said as he also ate the dango.
They ate the dish then went to the receptionist to give the money.
"How much it is?" Ned asked.
"4 Bronze Coins, Sir." The receptionist replied.
Ned wanted to pay the money but Jack insisted on paying himself.
After that they left to observe the other shops.
They went to different shops like, grocery shop, weapons shop and etc.
They both bought some things from each shop.
Jack has bought a beautiful pair of earrings for his mother and Ned has bought a toy for his younger sister.
They went to different parks to play also.
After sometime they came in front of a large building.
It was a five storeyed building with beautiful craftsmanship done on its walls. It is big enough to rival their mansion and radiated a force which felt unfathomable.
Jack didn't know what type of building it was, so he turned towards his friend and asked.
"Brother Ned, what is this building."
Ned turned towards him and said "Brother Jack, this building is a mixture of the branch guild and shop of three different factions."
Jack nodded at his words.
"The first floor have branch of Meteor Guild and their Shop."
"The Second floor have branch of Bloodline Guild and their Shop."
"The third floor have the shop of Royal Family Drake Faction."
"And the fifth floor is the resting place for various powerful warriors of these guilds and factions."
Hearing Ned's explanation, Jack felt he still didn't know very much about the outside world.
Jack has never left his mansion before now but he still knew about different families, their territories, about herbs and also about monsters and Meteorite beasts.
But all these knowledge was still not enough because to survive in this world, he had to have the knowledge and also information about different things.
After some moments, Jack realised that his friend has forgot to tell him about the fourth floor.
"Brother Ned, you forgot to tell me about the fourth floor." Jack asked.
Ned's face became pale after hearing the fourth floor but he composed himself and replied.
"Brother Jack, promise me that you will not tell about this to anyone."
Jack nodded seriously seeing his friends serious face.
" Don't worry brother, I will not tell about what you are going to tell me to anyone."
Hearing Jack, Ned nodded then took him to a secluded place.
"Brother Jack, my father has once told me that there is a Guild that rivals even the strongest empire in our Continent."
"He came to know about it from someone who he had met in the Dark Forest and was on his last breath before death took him."
Jack nodded at his friends words but the amazement on his face couldn't be hidden.
Jack never thought that there is a Guild which is more powerful than the Bloodline Guild and Meteorite Guild.
"The fourth floor of this building is the branch of that Guild and just like other guilds, it is spread in all the empires."
Jack became anxious hearing all this.
"The Guild is known as the Assassin's Guild and they take quests from powerful people or people with enough money to take out any target they wish."
"There are very few people who knows about this but they also don't talk about it in public."
Jack became shocked but he had thought about this already. He knew that there should be a information gathering guild or a spy network in this world.
But still even he had never thought that, it will be on a this much large scale.
"Brother Ned, do you know anything else about them."
Ned shook his head.
"Brother Jack, I have already told you everything I know."
They stood there for sometime and then Ned broke the silence.
"Brother Jack, I think we should go now as it is very late and I don't want to explore anymore today after thinking about them."
Jack nodded towards his friend and went to his home because he knew that even if he can sustain the mind exhaustion after talking about these things as he was in military in his previous life but a young kid like Ned couldn't.
Jack went to his father after coming home.
He knocked on his door slightly.
"Come in."
Hearing the permission, he went inside and stood in front of his father who is doing some paperwork.
"How was your day, Jack."
"It was good, father. We went to many different shops and had fun."
Hearing Jack, John smiled.
"Alright then go rest but tomorrow come to my office in the morning because I want to have a talk with you."
Jack nodded and went to his room, after some practice and having dinner he decided to sleep because he felt very exhausted today.
