"Encore, Solar Beam!"
Ash's sharp eyes noticed that Blastoise, though battered by the previous Solar Beam, had not yet lost its ability to fight.
Unwilling to give Gary any chance to recover, he commanded Venusaur to launch another Solar Beam, ensuring that this next blow would end Blastoise's battle.
Blastoise, still adjusting after the earlier attack, was caught off guard as Venusaur prepared another Solar Beam under the Sunny Day weather.
The massive, pale golden beam shot forth with blinding intensity, streaking straight toward Blastoise.
"Blastoise, snap out of it! Use Rapid Spin to dodge!" Gary shouted desperately, his voice rising with urgency.
His expression turned intense, his determination evident, but the strain of the battle was clear on his face.
Blastoise, however, couldn't muster the energy to respond. Though the previous Solar Beam had been weakened by its earlier Ice Beam, the damage was still severe due to the Grass type's natural advantage over Water types.
The enormous loss of strength left Blastoise sluggish, its body unable to react in time.
The Solar Beam roared through the battlefield, brushing past Gary and whipping up a powerful gust of wind before slamming into Blastoise with explosive force.
"BOOM!" The golden light illuminated the entire arena, momentarily dimming the surrounding atmosphere.
When the light dissipated, Blastoise lay motionless in a deep crater etched with fractures across its surface.
"Blastoise is unable to battle! Venusaur is the winner!" the referee declared, his voice cutting through the lingering silence of the stunned audience.
"That was an incredible exchange!" the commentator exclaimed. "Both Pokémon gave it their all, but Ash's Venusaur has proven its strength!
What a pity for Gary's Blastoise—it was a tough competitor, but ultimately, it couldn't overcome Venusaur's relentless offence."
Gary retrieved Blastoise's Poké Ball, his face calm despite the loss. "You did well, Blastoise. Come back." The blue turtle vanished in a flash of red light.
Now down to his final two Pokémon, Gary clenched his fist, acknowledging his dire situation. Ash still had Venusaur and three more Pokémon, including his most iconic ones.
Gary knew the odds were against him, but he refused to give up. As long as even a sliver of hope remained, he would fight until the bitter end.
"Go, Exeggutor! You're up!" Gary tossed his next Poké Ball, and the Grass/Psychic-type Pokémon appeared on the field.

With its Psychic type countering Venusaur's Poison typing, Gary felt a flicker of hope.
But Ash wasn't about to let Venusaur continue. "Venusaur, you've done great—return and take a break!" he said, recalling Venusaur back into its Poké Ball.
Ash's strategy shifted. With four Pokémon already participating in the match, his goal of training had been achieved. Now, it was time to end the game decisively.
"Charizard, it's your turn!" Ash adjusted his cap with confidence and threw his Poké Ball, releasing his Fire/Flying-type powerhouse into battle.
"ROOAAARRR!" The battlefield trembled as Charizard emerged, releasing a mighty roar. Its fiery tail burned brightly, and the golden hue of the flame immediately drew attention.
The belligerent Pokémon had waited patiently for its chance to fight, and now it could finally let loose. Charizard's energy was palpable, its excitement filling the arena.
Pikachu, watching from the sidelines, gave Ash an indignant look, thumping his trainer's leg with its tail. Charizard got to battle, but Pikachu hadn't yet, and it wasn't happy about it.
"Charizard has entered the battlefield!" the commentator shouted. "What's more, this Charizard isn't like others—it has a golden flame at the tip of its tail! A rare sight indeed!"
The audience buzzed with curiosity. Trainers with sharp senses noticed something extraordinary about Charizard. Its golden flame shimmered like the sun, radiating an intense, almost otherworldly heat.
Gary gritted his teeth as he stared at Charizard. He knew Ash had a Charizard, but without detailed information, he had no idea what to expect. Now, seeing it firsthand, Gary's hope began to waver.
Even so, he refused to give in. "No matter what, I won't go down without a fight!" he declared. "Exeggutor, use Psychic at full power!"
Exeggutor's eyes glowed with pink-purple energy, and waves of psychic energy radiated outward. The surrounding space distorted as the transparent waves of force rippled toward Charizard, targeting it with precision.
"Charizard, counter with Flamethrower!" Ash ordered. Confident in Charizard's power, he knew few Pokémon could stand against it for long.
"RAAARRGH!" Charizard roared as the flames on its tail flared even brighter. It opened its mouth, and golden fire began to gather.
With a powerful burst, the flames erupted, streaking toward Exeggutor like a fiery dragon.
The flames intensified under Sunny Day, their heat warping the air as they surged forward.
Even before reaching the ground, the sheer heat scorched the arena, leaving blackened marks in their wake.
The two attacks collided, but the power difference was apparent. Charizard's Flamethrower dominated the battlefield, its golden flames a sight to behold. Gary clenched his fists, knowing the battle had reached a critical point.
