Leon went to his stall, preparing to pack his things and leave the Black market. As he placed his gains into his black duffle bag, three people approached him.
Leon had discovered a car down the street that hadn't been there before.
He already knew these people were approaching beforehand. After all, Kadabra was the one who told him that these people were here for him.
Kadabra had even told him that people were watching him with greed and ill intentions. Leon had also discovered a black limousine that wasn't there before he left his stall.
"I'm leaving, so we're closed." Leon didn't turn around to see who had shown up.
These people had appeared in front of his stall. The one in the middle was a girl, she looked slightly older than Leon.
She had pale blonde hair to the point where it had turned white. Her eyes were magenta and she had fair skin. From the looks of it, she appeared to be albino or something.
There was no doubt that this girl was going to be a beauty when she became a woman. Behind her were two women dressed in maid outfits with bob-cuts.
Leon knew just from looking at them, that they were twins. Their gazes sharpened when they landed on Leon.
'What the...' Leon's mouth twitched, why were they looking at him like that?
'They're studying your physique to understand better your strength and how you look.' Kadabra sent a message to Leon that reverberated through his mind.
"So you're the merchant! Thank goodness you're still here, I thought you left."
The girl gazed around the stall where she saw many strong Pokemon. She had seen them from afar and was cautioned by the maids and guards.
"I'm leaving already, I've been here for two and a half hours." Leon didn't wish to stay here any longer.
"I understand that you want money, we've brought tons of it. All cash, as long as you can get the Pokemon I want." The girl hurriedly said.
She had gotten news about Leon when he sold Poliwag, which happened to be legit. The girl quickly gathered a large sum of money before rushing here.
"..."
Seeing Leon's silence, she continued. "Sorry, my name is Ahri, I am a member of the Paradise Guild. I-I am willing to pay you ₽6,500,000 for a baby Togepi with potential better than Green."
This money was originally something she was saving for the upcoming auction. However, a really good Pokemon such as Togepi was something she desired greatly.
Leon was shocked, Six Point Five Million Pokedollars! Pokemon could grow to become more expensive than anything in the world!
This Ahri girl didn't even try and negotiate, she just offered a large sum from the start.
The maids frowned, they had no idea she would spend so much on one Pokemon.
"Little miss, don't you think spending so much on one Pokemon is too much?"
"You should lower the talent and try to get another Pokemon."
"No. This is what I want, I want a top-notch Togepi! This Pokemon is too hard to acquire with a great talent."
Ahri was determined to get Togepi, so no one could convince her otherwise. Both maids sighed. They knew once she was resolute in something; there was no going back.
"Hmm, show me the money." Leon rubbed his hands together, showing his interest.
Ahri sighed in relief before waving a few men over in suits. They quickly popped the trunk of the limousine before taking out several duffle bags.
'Hmm, even with this money, it won't be enough for what I want to do.'
For Leon, this was a start. He was only limited to his age currently. The large building he wanted was ₽6,000,000 plus taxes, this wasn't including the renovation cost.
Leon also wanted to buy land, which wouldn't be cheap. Thus, this money wouldn't be enough to satiate him.
"Give me ₽12,000,000 and I'll give you the best Togepi." Leon suddenly upped the cost and with good reason.
"Ridiculous, are trying to take advantage of our young miss?!" One of the maids flared up hearing Leon's proposition.
"Taking advantage? Togepi eventually evolves into a Togekiss, which is a Fairy and Flying type. This Pokemon's power, type, and rarity puts it on another level. I can lower the price, but I will also lower the talent of the Pokemon—if that's fine."
Leon wasn't worried if they didn't want to buy anything. He already had a few cash cows lined up and ready to throw money at him.
"I-I didn't bring that much money on me." The girl showed panic before continuing. "Can I take out a loan or something, I can pay you back."
"Hehe, I don't do loans. Togepi's potential in general is amazing. It's not something that can just be given away so cheaply."
"M-mister merchant, are you perhaps going to the auction?" Ahri gritted her teeth and asked wittingly.
"I will be going to that auction, why? Will you be there as well?"
"I'll be there and I'll have the money then. Can we make the transaction when we meet there?"
Ahri didn't bring the type of money Leon was asking for, but she would have it by the auction.
"Of course, why would I skip out on a chance to make a profit? I'll be there with the Pokemon you want, you just be there with the money I want."
"I don't want your trip to be in vain. I know you rushed here and even amassed so much money for this moment."
Leon stared at the girl before continuing. "You said you're from the Paradise Guild, right? I heard you guys specialize in using Grass and Fairy-type Pokemon, correct?"
He wasn't exactly sure, but he had remembered a few things about this guild. It was a guild stationed in Celadon City and he knew they used Fairy types.
"Right, we can use other types if we want but our starters are usually Grass-type Pokemon. Rarely does anyone get a starter that's a Fairy, they're usually reserved for special members."
"Alright, I won't waste your time or let suffer a loss. I happened to be selling some decent Grass-type Pokemon. I also have a couple of Fairies up for sale right now."
Leon grinned and continued. "I have Azurill and Igglybuff up for sale right now. As for Grass Pokemon, I have Oddish, Bellsprout, Exeggcute, Tangela, Hoppip, Lotad, Seedot, and Chikorita."
Leon quickly listed some Pokemon.
"You're selling all of these different Pokemon?" Ahri and her maids were shocked, there were even Pokemon from the Johto and Hoenn region!
They were even more taken aback when they heard that he was selling a Royal Starter.
"Of course, what are you buying?" Leon really didn't want to be here any longer, so he pressed her.
"Ah, right! Yes, yes, I want the Chikorita and Azurill! May I ask what their aptitudes are?" Ahri hurriedly said. She could tell Leon wanted to leave this place since he was already in the process of packing up.
"The Chikorita has a Yellow aptitude and the Azurill is Green. These are some pretty good Pokemon, and for your effort, I'll give you a discount."
Before Leon could say another word, Ahri interjected. "Could you possibly give me an Azurill with the ability [Huge Power], that's the only reason I would buy it."
Ahri threw in a small request and Leon nodded in return. If Azurill didn't have Huge Power, it was kinda useless offensively.
Of course, it if had [Sap Sipper], it could negate its weakness to Grass types but [Huge Power] was still a much better option.
"I can give you one with this ability, this is a small matter. The total cost for both will be ₽7,000,000, and this is with a discount."
"Perfect! Here you go, sir Merchant!" She happened to have some extra money on her.
Leon received several large duffle bags filled with money. Of course, he asked Kadabra about its authenticity.
Kadabra could peer into their minds, so she discovered that it was all real.
'Ahahaha! I'm rich now!' Leon was ecstatic but he maintained his composure. Kadabra noticed this and its eyes widened speechlessly.
"Sir, Merchant, I hope you don't mind us checking the product's authenticity." One of the maids pulled out a Measuring Meter.
"Where are you guys getting all of these Measuring Meters? Are you buying them?" Leon couldn't help but ask.
This was not something people or businesses would want to sell since they were hard to make.
"No. We're just renting this Measuring Meter, it bit more advanced than usual." The maid said in reply.
'They must have good credit scores.' Leon thought.
Ahri summoned both Chikorita and Azurill. Once the people around them saw these Pokemon, especially Chikorita—their greed reached new bounds.
Leon wasn't sensitive to the notion of killing intent, but he felt some ominous presence around him. Fortunately, these people didn't dare express or act on their feelings, but who is to say some wouldn't become bold?
'I have to get out of here afterward.' Leon already planned to use a Pokemon to Teleport away from here.
"Chicko~!"
"Azu!"
"Haha, they're both at the aptitude you said they would be at. Azurill even has the ability our young miss was requesting for." Both maids were satisfied before gazing at Leon in a brand new light.
"Ah, thank you so much, Mr. Merchant!" Ahri instinctively grabbed Leon's hands due to being so moved by the transaction.
Guilds had their own competitions among the younger generations. There was a circle of elders who made decisions in these Guilds. Of course, the Guild Leader was the largest factor.
These Pokemon would no doubt put her ahead of her peers!
"Uh..." Leon was rendered despondent.
"Ah...sorry!" Ahri quickly removed her hands before bowing profusely and apologizing.
"You're good." Leon waved his hand dismissively, this was to be expected.
"Now that our transaction is over, I will take my leave. Be careful on your way out, there are many greedy people around here."
"Tsk! These scoundrels better know their place. If they attack, it would be the end of them." One of the maids turned around and glared at the crowd coldly.
Ahri thanked Leon again before leaving, she was truly beyond grateful.
'Multiple enemies approaching, there appear to be Twenty-Five of them.' Kadabra immediately warned Leon.
Leon ordered everyone to stand close before he summoned a level 70 Staryu.
"Hiya!"
"Teleport us away from here. Teleport us south from here." Leon could easily confront these people and destroy them, but why waste his time and risk it?
At that moment, a Purple glow of energy flowed behind them before engulfing them. Afterward, Leon, his Pokemon, and the equipment that he had brought disappeared.
