But no, Cael had something to share, he realized. A piece of knowledge that didn't come from this world, but from beyond it.

"The Void… Although you are a dragon, you use magic," Cael said. "Your subordinate summoned your projection with a glyph. That's similar to human magic, even if the glyph doesn't belong to the Arcani language."

If it was, Cael would've understood it thanks to his "Glyph Understanding" ability. But that mysterious glyph was completely beyond his comprehension. It was still a glyph, though.

"Oh, so you want to share knowledge of magic with me in exchange for peace?" the Void asked. "Go on. Humans come up with new magic all the time. Most of it is useless to me."

'It wouldn't have been useless if you let more of the people in the Mattoni Empire use magic, and didn't make it sound like something low. Worse than simple trading, even!' Cael thought resentfully.
