บท 5: Short Chapter—Nicks Pov
When a screen firt popped in nick fury's face, he was cery much terrified, he asked the others at his workplace if they could see the screen and asked if he was filling alright.
At thatvtime he decided to ignore it.
Until the screen became brighter and brighter until eventually shining and being reflected bu his bald head, at that moment he angrily accepted.
and then he found this thing lead to a group chat filled with others…from different universes, At first he was skeptical BUT.
He remembered that he has seen an eldritch horror in the skin of a cat that took his eye and then also himself meeting an alien with almost godlike abilities.
So he went with the flow and accepted his reality.
But what is this?!!.
he was brought to a strange white space?!.
and not only that—
[Ding! New Quest Available: Test of Strength]
[Objective: Each member must demonstrate their unique abilities in the arena. The members will earn rewards tailored to their power set.]
—He could not fight what seems to be people with abilities.
The first who were to fight was the Genocidal_Child or quote on quote chara—as he calls himself that.
An the there was this person called the Witch of envy with poined ears,silver hair and oh yess strange eyes, Ofcourse she would have strange eyes?!!.
When the first fight started he wanted to see what these strange people's abilities were since it would provide him with good information if they ever got his world, maybe he could make countermeasures…
When the fight started, Nick was horrified.
A giant shadowy purple hand was created by the witch. "What the hell is that?!!"
He couldn't help but exclaim loudly. The skeleton—Ainz shifted and looked at him. "It seems to be a type of magic that creates constructs, it looks different from the dark magic i know of, it also seems she is holding back"
The little girl who creeped him out more than the skeleton, continued watching but added a few words. "She gives me the same feeling as the Stage constructing witch"
Yep definitely more terrified of the girl.
The childs once black eyes started lighting up with red which ultimately made Nick think he was a demon.
"Oh no," Nick muttered under his breath, his instincts kicking in. "That kid's got something else going on…"
In that moment, the realization hit him: he was out of his league. These weren't just superpowered people. These were entities, forces of nature, beings with abilities that bent reality itself. They could tear apart his world if they wanted to. And even worse, there was no way of telling what they would do next.
Nick's hand instinctively went to his communicator, but there was no way to contact S.H.I.E.L.D. now. He was stranded in this strange space, watching powerful beings engage in a battle that felt both surreal and dangerous.
"Alright, come on," he muttered to himself, watching Chara dodge the colossal shadowy hand and retaliate with a burst of energy. "I need to figure out what's going on here and how to survive this."
Satella, the Witch of Envy, was still in the midst of her battle, her aura so dark and intense that even Nick could feel it from here. The hand she had summoned was not just a display of raw power—it was alive, filled with malevolent energy, reaching out for Chara with an insatiable hunger. The child's movements were swift, precise, and somehow terrifyingly calculated.
Nick could see the strings of magic weaving around Satella's form, the shadows distorting around her like a living entity. If this was the power of one of these beings, what else was out there? Could they all do this? Could they all manipulate reality and time like the others he had seen?
A voice broke him out of his thoughts. Ainz spoke again, this time addressing Chara's abilities directly. "It seems she's using some form of soul manipulation, likely tapping into an immense well of DETERMINATION."
Nick didn't have time to process that information, as the fight took a dramatic turn. Chara's eyes flashed with intense red light as she summoned multiple knives from what appeared to be her very soul. Each one glowed with a dangerous power, and Nick's heart skipped a beat. Whatever this 'DETERMINATION' was, it wasn't something you just dealt with. It was a force unto itself.
With a flick of Chara's wrist, the projectiles shot forward, tearing through the air like knives of pure energy. The purple shadow hand deflected them momentarily, but the impact created a ripple in the magic that sent shockwaves through the arena. Nick braced himself, his eyes wide.
"Damn," he muttered, taking a cautious step back. "She's playing with forces I can't even begin to understand. And that kid… What the hell is she?"
"She, Well i would have thought he was a girl too, but he doesn't act like one nor his behavior resembles one at all, even the other types of girls" Ainz spoke and Nick was stunned, the she was a He?!!
If he were to say that in front of he-him would he be angry and kill him on the spot or would he just leave him be, Nick decided not to make that mistake.
He continue watching and saw as Chara dashed towards satella and hit her barrier seemingly doing no damage to it, he was flabbergasted.
Chara frowned as he stepped back, he observed her for a moment before shrugging off and immediately surrendered to her.
to say the least nick was enjoying the confrontation and at the same time he was dreading to fight any of them.
When they were done conversing they came here individually, the two were quite and nick was tensed.
He didn't know who would be going up next…but he was definitely not going to fight a skeleton from what looks to be hell.
And a girl who wouldn't flinch at shooting him down.
Either way he was cooked,.
He was the only one in the group who was weak and he didn't know if he would survive longer than he would expect.
