Ainz was skeptical, he doesn't underestimate his opponents ot show any mercy to any gender, his treatment is equal to all and everyone.
But at the moment the girl over there, he sensed she had no life in her body, no to say it more accurately it was her soul that was away from her body.
He wondered if she was a higher undead creature but she did say she was a magical girl, But he doesn't think a magical girl would have such a temporal energy near her. "Shall we start"
The girl with her dull lilac eyes stared at me, the small shield on her hand made a sound and what appeared on her hand was a gun straightly pointed at him. "I have things to do, do let's finish this quickly"
"Hahahha" How laughable, A small girl was threatening him with a gun, a toy in his eyes and nothing more than a useless trinket ised by his old and foolish Kin.
But he still doesn't underestimate her. "Very well let's start, Despair Aura I"
An aura of dread manifested atound him, the girl didn't flinch and shot the bullet, when it hit Aimz realized.
The bullets did 1 health points of damage, The girl didn't fain in front of his despair aura stating she had more willpower.
Ainz nodded in satisfaction but he was not actually about to fight, no he is only going to demonstrate his abilities or knock the girl out by only using despair Aura.
IS what he thought before he was unsurprisingly barraged by a salvo of bullets coming from nowhere, he immediately placed a shield around him and moved away from the aim of the girl, he glanced at the girl.
Did she use an ability? or did she replicate the bullets and make a delayed effect, not that wasn't it.
Something felt different about the girl, it may not be noticeable to dome people but the girl seem to be at the same place she was earlier but there was a difference.
Her posture was as moved by a few inches.
The girl moved fater thqn he could percussion or…
She had the ability to control the space around her.
As he was on think he looked at the sky where he saw multiple of what seemed to be Exposives being thrown his way.
He was wrong about it..But he felt something rise within him, it was excitement, Excitement to discover what other abilities the girl has.
While Ainz was getting interested.
Homura was lost in thought, She wondered why she agreed to that strange screen, Maybe she was annoyed by its constant light.
She was not that much interested when she met thr the supposed group 'members'.
She simply thought she was brought here against her own will, but all is all she doesn't think anyone would be able to get pass her time stopping ability.
When the strange screen anounced they were fighting each other, she was a bit displeased but didn't think much of it, The boy with an unnerving Aura was slightly threatening and the humanoid witch was strong.
But she was confident in her own abilities.
So why did she feel a threatening force when she was facing the skeleton, He said the words Despair Aura-I, she didn't know what he did but she was now being cautious of him.
Her magical bullets did no significant damage to the Skeleton and when she stopped time and shot the bullets multiple times, the skeleton reacted faster and made a shield around him.
She was confused when her explosives did nothing to him.
But then she remembered they weren't from the same world so some rules aren't applicable to him.
Yet she felt something was wrong, this time she went forward towards the skeleton when suddenly. "I see, so you stopped time, interesting"
At that moment Homura Akemi felt a deep sense of dread, what was this being who is he and how did he move in her temporal domain.
The Skeleton or now she has addressed him as Ainz, his official name, Started speaking.
"Ah you must be curious as to why i can still move in stopped time, Well it's quite simple actually, I stopped time myself the moment you did" He said his voice taking on an amused tone.
"You see i was going to test something but i didn't expect you to have that sort of ability, So when we casted time stop at the same time, our differentiations of time clashed and made only the two of us to be able to move" He continued explaining, his eyes exposed a crimson glint.
"But the difference is, you have no limit to how long you can stop time while i have a hige mana pool to draw from, which means I have a time limit on my ability. However, in this case, it seems our powers have aligned rather conveniently." Ainz gave her a slow, calculated nod, almost like he was commending her.
Homura clenched her jaw, her mind racing. This… skeleton was unlike any opponent she had ever faced. He could stop time just as she could, and his understanding of magic seemed almost infinite. She would have to be careful—recklessly relying on her usual tactics wouldn't work.
"So, you're not just an undead monster," Homura said cautiously, her dull lilac eyes narrowing as she observed him.
Ainz chuckled, his tone both amused and condescending. "Far from it, little magical girl. I am Ainz Ooal Gown, ruler of the Great Tomb of Nazarick and master of countless spells. My knowledge of the arcane arts stretches far beyond what your world can likely comprehend."
Homura was silent, weighing her options. She had no choice but to continue fighting. If he was indeed limited by his mana, she could possibly outlast him if she used her time-stop ability judiciously. But the dread she felt from his aura lingered, gnawing at her resolve.
"Very well," she muttered under her breath, raising her gun. She aimed it directly at Ainz, her face a mask of determination. "Let's see just how far your power stretches."
With that, she fired another barrage of bullets, but this time, she layered the shots with a distortion field to disrupt the skeleton's aura. The bullets shimmered with an ethereal light, each one altered with temporal magic to destabilize his shield upon impact.
Ainz watched the bullets fly towards him, his eyes gleaming with intrigue. He raised a skeletal hand, conjuring an advanced barrier spell. The bullets collided with his shield, each one leaving cracks that spider-webbed across the surface. But the barrier held.
"A creative approach," he remarked, his voice filled with admiration, if not a hint of amusement. "You've manipulated time and space within your own magic. Impressive… for your level." He raised his other hand, and dark energy swirled around it. "However, I think it's time to demonstrate a bit more of my power."
He unleashed a wave of black tendrils that raced toward her, each one writhing with deadly intent. Homura barely had time to react before she was forced to stop time again, dodging out of their path just as they slashed through the air where she had been standing.
Time resumed, and she reappeared several feet away, her breaths shallow, her heart pounding. She couldn't shake the feeling that she was fighting something more akin to a god than a mere undead sorcerer.
Ainz let out a low chuckle. "Oh? You're quick on your feet, but how long can you keep this up, I wonder? Your time-stopping ability is fascinating, but it's nothing compared to my magical arsenal."
Homura's mind raced. She needed to do something drastic if she wanted to end this battle without revealing her desperation. She focused, pulling from the depths of her own power, and activated a distortion field, creating a barrier around herself that bent light and warped time to make her form shimmer and flicker.
Ainz seemed intrigued by her new tactic, his expression one of genuine curiosity. "Oh? A distortion field? You truly are a unique opponent. I would expect nothing less from one gifted with such abilities."
He raised his hand, preparing another spell, but Homura was already in motion, her figure flickering as she moved within her distortion field. She reappeared right in front of him, pressing the muzzle of her gun against his skeletal face.
"Let's see if your magic can withstand a point-blank shot," she muttered.
Ainz's eyes flared with a dark, crimson light. "Impressive approach, but… futile."
Before she could pull the trigger, a blast of energy exploded from his aura, sending her flying back. She rolled across the arena floor, regaining her balance as she skidded to a stop. Her shield flickered, the strain of keeping up with Ainz starting to take its toll.
"Enough games," Ainz said, his tone shifting to something colder, more serious. "You've proven yourself skilled, but I tire of these theatrics."
With a wave of his hand, he cast Grasp Heart, an instant-death spell that targeted her directly. Homura's instincts flared, and she immediately stopped time once again, feeling the cold grip of his spell reaching for her heart. In the frozen moment, she took several steps back, narrowly avoiding the spell's reach before time resumed.
Panting, she glared at Ainz, a defiant spark in her eyes. "I won't fall that easily."
Ainz laughed, a deep and haunting sound. "Good. It would be disappointing if you did. But remember… there are countless ways for me to subdue you."
Homura's mind was racing, but she forced herself to stay calm. She hadn't faced a challenge like this in a long time, and despite her frustration, she found herself driven by the thrill of the fight. This skeleton, this Ainz Ooal Gown, was unlike any enemy she had encountered before. But she was Homura Akemi, and she would find a way to defeat him no matter what.
Ainz, too, felt a flicker of excitement. This battle had become more than a simple demonstration; it was a rare opportunity to face someone who could match him in unexpected ways. And as the two squared off once more, it became clear that neither intended to back down. The arena was charged with the tension of two powerful beings, each determined to outlast the other.
Chara and Satella were watching them quite equally despite their constant time stopping while nick…he only saw attacks come and disappear. "That's just Bullshit?!"
"What do you mean" Chara asked curiously.
Nicks eyes bulged. "Their attacks are coming and going like a fucking tennis ball"
Satella tilted her head. "I can clearly see their attacks, it's impressive…also what's a tennis ball?"
Nick was losing his sanity.
"They are stopping time, i guess i'm not affected neither is she" Chara said with a hand placed on his chin, The knife which he was holding in his other hand shined on his reflection.
Nick was holding back a heart attack if that was ever possible, The two down there were controlling time itself while the two up here are immune to it.
What the hell did he get himself into?!.
