บท 8: 8. Repaying Gratitude

Seraphina was confused but not for long as there was one more thing which was different from before. The fact that she could use white magic or in layman's term light magic and divine power as told by those Angelos fools.

"If white magic is related to my soul then what about the observant eye, was this already present or this is a new ability for this new life?"

She was confused but not for long. She knew that everything she was facing was different from her previous life but she still wanted to welcome this new life whole heartedly.

After all, who does not like a new chance to begin a new chapter.

She was thankful to original body as well as that foolish aunt.

There were still scars on her arms, the sign of forbidden magic as well as a timer to complete her deadline.

She has to work super hard.

"Let's do it. I can do it. This body is talented enough. I also have the power of white magic. It means I am the coolest."

Seraphina decided to build a grave for her benefactor that has given her a new life. It was something that she could do to leave a mark of the previous soul in this world.

Even though she was now Seraphina Angelos and would take her thoughts and ambition as hers but deep down she didn't want to be thankless.

Just like the previous soul didn't want to die like an unknown being and hence summoned her without giving her biological aunt a chance to possess her body.

A woman she treated as her mother for the past ten years.

"Thank you Seraphina. I will cherish your gift, this life."

After thanking the previous soul once again Seraphina surfed the light brain for general information about the federation and the new interstellar world. From her past memories she couldn't get anything of significance as previously Seraphina wasn't allowed to go out of the courtyard due to Alina's interference and her family from her father's side wasn't interested in her to care about her or provide knowledge.

She never attended school or took any class meant for the direct children of the family.

She only has the knowledge of runes and the interstellar lingua franca.

Her paternal family never considered her as a member of their family; she was just the daughter of a sinner.

"Huh, let's see I am practically dumb now."

It was good that she got a free pass to attend senior academy but there was no way she could cope up with new subjects when she didn't have prior knowledge of anything happening in the interstellar federation.

"Let's check out information about this star. A garbage star should have some information about it."

Seraphina checked the light brain and came to know about 4320. It was an unknown star. A garbage star where garbage from all over the world was thrown here and recycled in the recycling station.

After this she typed about Angelo's family and found not much information about them or anything about her being missing.

"What a lousy family!" Seraphina gritted her teeth in anger and felt bad for the previous body.

"It's nothing to do with me. I should check about people having supernatural powers and their standings in the federation."

After checking news related to supernaturalism, Seraphina found that there were less supernaturalists but there were ample amounts of them.

All these ability warriors were scouted in the military by getting training at military school.

Before joining the identity of ability users one needs to go to the registration base to add information about them and their power to get an identity badge as well to check the level about their status.

Since Seraphina was given entry into school, she would also have a chance to go to registration to issue an identity of hunter by the guilds.

"I have the ability to assimilate, does that mean I can learn more skills from others? The way to get a hunter's identity is easy."

Seraphina had already planned out her future task to achieve the goal and complete everything within the deadline so that she could extend her life and live the way she wants, this world has magic as well as other mysterious things but the most troubling thing in this world is dungeons.

There were many dungeons on each planet from which many good materials were obtained.

From her previous memory, Seraphina was determined that she must have the talent of an S grade dark mage but have no idea about her white magic's potential.

"I have to check various news articles regarding ability users so as not to create a blunder."

There were many taboos that she had to consider carefully as a single and alone ability user.

After checking general news about ability and those users, she was determined to join the military. In this world, the military has supreme might and cadets from military school are protected even if they don't belong to any powerful family or guild.

Seraphina drank the nutrient solution supplied by the registration office for orphans and tried to sense her power.

She had no idea on how to start the practice but she tried it in her own way by stimulating dark and white magic in each hand.

Her golden eyes shone brightly as she observed the changes in her body, everything was clear to her, the pathways of mana that were flowing inside her veins and the mana centre at heart.

Seraphina knew that mana centre was at the heart by browsing information about mages in the forum.

Similar to blood, circulating in the body magic also originate from the Mana stone inside the heart, the source of power of the mages was this point and currently she possessed two of them.

The problem was heart was small in size and even though magas with different elemental powers were powerful they were also in great danger due to more mana stones present in their heart.

Seraphina could see a dark and shining coin size stone in her heart and a small pea size golden shining stone behind it.

It was small but still showing its presence. It was not hindered by the dark Mana stone that was big and dominant.

" I guess I am lucky to have these eyes. Whatever changed in this body was good for me."

Her eyes were truly special, these eyes could help her in many ways even if she didn't use her magic anymore. They were great for any other side job like alchemist, pharmacist, or other jobs that need keen eyes.

Since only 5000 Rial were too small for her to live if she wanted to gain power as soon as possible. Good resources are expensive and a large amount of money was needed to make someone an exceptional mage.

With these thoughts in mind she went to sleep. Her body needed much rest after going through all that the previous day.

The next day Seraphina went to meet old Jack and thanked him for accommodating her before and helping her in getting a new place.

Last night when she was browsing information about this planet, she came to know that the old man standing in front of her was the planet owner of this garbage star.

"Thank you grandpa. I am living well, thanks to your care."

Old Jack was silent for a moment and gave her a deep look. "No need."

"You are my benefactor grandpa. I will try to repay you as soon as I can."

"Repay me? Well, then try to join one of the five major military academies next year. Work hard for that."

Old Jack issued a notice, since he could see Seraphina wanted to pay him back.

"Five major military academies?!"

Although she wanted to join a military academy for safety and protection, Seraphina never thought about joining the school next year.

She was a poor civilian, without any training and basic knowledge of fighting. She has an exceptional talent in magic but that's it. Her body was weak and in her past life she had never practised anything related to martial arts.

"What?How can I join next year? I can't do it."

"Hmm…I thought you wanted to repay me. The only thing you can do is by getting into the military academy. I don't want anything else other than this."

Seraphina was speechless. It was not like everyday that she had to face difficulties like this, acing exams before was a simple job not like learning martial art and magic control.

Magic control was still easy but learning how to fight was going to become difficult.

"Huh, so what about those five military academies? Why do I have to go to one of them?"

Seraphina asked as she was not sure why the old man was obsessed with this as she could enter the army through any military College. It does not necessarily have to be those five academies.

"You don't need to know about this, just repay me as you said before and enter one of the top five academies."

Old Jack was not worried about Seraphina not entering the military College as he was aware of the talent that even Seraphina was not aware of; she had golden pupils.

In interstellar, people having golden and violet pupils were considered rare and gifted, not because of there rarity but due to the talent possessed by the individual due to different irises.

Just by seeing her golden eyes, old Jack knew she was a hope for the future. He wanted to make her enter the top five academies so that she could get proper training and meet her peers that have similar talent like hers.

Beside, sending such a talented girl in the military would make this star change its status.

Golden pupils were even rarer than the violet ones, Jack Hilton was sure that Seraphina would be a blockbuster after a year of training just like Solar Adrian Hyperion.

The person reaching the apex of talent, the hope of reaching archmage after a long period of time. It's been a hundred years since somebody became an archmage.

Solar Adrian Hyperion was the most famous candidate that would enter the imperial military academy next year after returning from the Safaris dungeon.

It was one of the most dangerous dungeons in the world since the death of the last lord of calamity.

This dungeon was supersaturated and caused an outbreak resulting in many deaths.
