บท 9: 9. Entering the Dungeon

Seraphina knew that old Jack meant well but it was unrealistic to think that she would become some genius prodigy in just a few months as not even a year was left before the enlistment for the top five military academies.

"It is next to impossible but I will give it a shot." Seraphina promised.

What more could she do?

"Good." Old Jack smiled and gave her new information that was not known to many citizens of this garbage star.

" You will be able to gain combat experience by entering the dungeon. There are F-rank dungeons on this planet. They will help you in training before you attend the military academy."

"What? Dungeons?! In this garbage star?"

Seraphina was astonished as it was really not known to outsiders. When she was searching for news regarding this planet there was nothing that caught attention and if this planet dungeons, it can't be called a garbage planet or an unknown planet.

The presence of these dungeons even if they are F -ranked were the symbol of prosperity.

Dungeons brought disasters and accidents but it was also a means to make oneself stronger.

After discussing things with old Jack, Seraphina decided to attend her school that would teach her about her next college life.

Before going to the college Seraphina went to the registration guild and registered herself.

She decided to hide her dark and white magic power and cleverly used white magic to strengthen herself and registered as a physical ability user.

It would not attract attention and as she guessed the awakening instrument measured her talent as grade A.

It was all due to the little white mana stone as she used white magic to strengthen her body during the check up.

Besides on this abandoned planet, she could not get any knowledge regarding magic and would waste her time learning it.

The physical ability users identity would help her to enrol as mecha soldier who has brawns but no brains. It was easy.

After entering the school and paying the fees, Seraphina was great full for her choice as she didn't have enough money to enrol herself for a magic class or mecha design class, everything was expensive. A poor orphan girl like her could not afford such costly classes.

The fees for the mecha soldiers students was 2000 Rial per year and the magic department was 50000 Rial and the mecha design class was 15000 Rial.

She could not afford any of these departments. Since she was dependent on the federal military's charity, she could not afford anything expensive. Besides registering herself as a physical ability user she could receive only 2000 Rial from the hunter's guild.

It was her first day and as a mecha individual soldier student she had to go to the ground and learn combat tactics.

She was nervous.

"Morning students. You need to build your stamina today. So you will all take rounds around the ground till afternoon and whoever completes this training will receive additional points as well as a luxurious food coupon from Tenga Industries."

In the class no one paid special attention to Seraphina as it was normal for new students to come and join this class, many old students leave this class because they could not handle the hectic combat classes besides there was danger of losing their life during the graduation test.

So either the change departments or leave school, there was nothing other than this that could happen on this poor star.

Once again, Seraphina was grateful towards old Jack for getting her new house and a light brain.

The training was tough for the beginner Seraphina but she still tried her best to not come last.

All the day was spent in physical training, either she was running or she was practising with fellow classmates on the demand of the homeroom teacher.

This new life was good but was quite demanding for her.

Seraphina tool this challenge sportingly but her poverty was limiting her happiness.

"How good would it be if I was still in Angelo's family? It would be even better if I were adopted by some wealthy rich man."

Seraphina sighed at her poor luck .

"Once a beggar always a beggar."

Just like this two months passed and Seraphina has completely adapted to her new life in the unknown star.

She knew basic combat tactics and due to her being specially talented in magic she was able to learn everything smoothly.

Now she was one of the good students in the class who excelled in everything that teacher taught.

Old Jack has promised to let her enter the slime king dungeon this afternoon.

Since it was the garbage star, the three dungeons that were on this planet were all related to insects and small animals.

Two were of F grade and one was of D grade. Seraphina was powerful but it didn't mean that she was omnipotent.

In life everything has a sequence and no one has reached the height of sky just at the starting line, step by step reaching the goal has been a normal start.

So, Seraphina was excellent but she has to hone her magical skills then she can proudly stand in front of others and prove her worth.

Personally, she didn't like to show off but due to the forbidden contract she must enhance the brilliance of Seraphina Angelos.

"This place is close to the dump yard. How come no one ever saw the dungeon? Grandpa, are you lying?"

Old Jack scoffed at her. "Lie? Why would I? Just come with me."

Old Jack knew that Seraphina could not believe that this unknown star had dungeons and thus questioned the validity of this possibility.

With this situation, Old Jack raised his hand and suddenly the messy dumpyard showed the gate of the dungeon. It was visible and can be seen easily but Seraphina was sure that there was nothing here before.

"Old man, how is this possible?"

"It is my supernatural ability of concealment. It is not great but still can give good results."

Concealment.

Just by the name of this power Seraphina knew that it was amazing yet Old Jack said it was not good enough.

" So, are you flaunting your ability? This power is amazing yet you behave like it is nothing. Are you asking for compliments?"

"Huh! I know my ability is great but it is only D level. So it is not considered excellent that's why I was able to hide these low level dungeons."

Old Jack told her about various levels and grades and after going through the school Seraphina was aware of some common sense in this world.

This world respects the strongest and it is all dependent on levels. Just like Seraphina used her magic to impersonate the physical ability for level A.

She didn't want to be high profile but level A on this star was already amazing and Old Jack knew something after becoming the planet master and visiting other main planets that only people like Seraphina can change the fate of this garbage star.

Although old Jack was not aware of the true prowess possessed by Seraphina, the talent of Level A physical ability was enough to enter in the top five military academies.

He was satisfied and wanted to nurture her properly.

Beside he knew the rumour about the golden eyes and has also read about confirmed articles that the owner of golden and violet eyes are talents that comes one in a century.

Old Jack wanted to develop the unknown star but his talent was not up to the mark. So, he wholeheartedly supported Seraphina, an orphan to fulfil his dreams.

This was the reason that she was able to easily get a new identity without going through prison.
