"So the Village is here," I muttered, eyes fixed on the outskirts of an unremarkable forest. My parents had extended their vacation, so I'd used the extra time to locate the Ninja Village. I'd pinpointed it three days ago and had been visiting it daily, only to retreat before actually confronting it. The idea of attacking the village filled me with uncertainty.
The thought of leaving this undeniably malevolent organization unchallenged frustrated me, yet I couldn't guarantee a successful outcome. From what I'd gathered, their leader was depicted as an immensely powerful, mysterious figure—an upper-tier S-Class being. Even if I were confident I could escape him, I wasn't sure about the subordinate ninjas, who might be lesser S-Class themselves.
A minor, muffled explosion in the distance disrupted my thoughts, the sound familiar from my dungeon explorations. I detest explosive dungeons, but they've sharpened my situational awareness.
Without hesitation, I moved, cutting through the air and breaking the sound barrier in seconds as I sped towards the source of the disturbance. Within moments, the lush grass gave way to barren land, and I caught my breath as I observed two figures clashing at incredible speeds, their impacts sending shockwaves that ruffled my clothes even from hundreds of meters away.
The distance and their speed made it difficult to discern details, but one of the figures was unmistakable. Although I hadn't seen the number one hero Blast up close in the webcomic or manga, the description matched perfectly. This meant the enemy he faced was likely the head of the Ninja Village. Today was the day Blast would bring him to the brink of defeat.
While I marveled at the scale of their powers, I remained alert. An arrow whizzed by, narrowly missing my heart before creating a sonic boom and exploding a few hundred meters behind me.
"So the observer isn't as insignificant as I thought," a man with spiky pink hair and dressed in a black and white striped jersey called out, landing a hundred meters away and aiming a plastic bow at me. "I'm Bow Recurve, and for the sake of my master, I'll pierce your flesh."

'He's like a weaker version of Flashy Flash,' I thought before my awareness pinged, and I dodged a spear aimed at my neck. The perfectly timed sneak attack would have inflicted damage if not for my heightened awareness. I lashed out, but the attacker, a fourth ninja clad in black, dodged my punch.
"Stygian Umbra," Shining Glimmer addressed the fourth ninja. "Are your sneak attacks losing their edge? You're shaming our master."
The fourth ninja began to reply, but I decided to act. Evaluating my opponents, I noted the last ninja was average compared to the others. I stepped forward with purpose.
"You four are here to protect your master and assist his escape if necessary, correct?" I asked politely, receiving only scornful glares in return.
"A piece of trash like you shouldn't even consider that our Master might lose," Bow Recurve sneered, notching another arrow aimed at my heart.
"Oh, I'm sorry," I said, apologizing insincerely. "What I actually meant is that when I kill all four of you and tear your bodies to shreds, your master will lament the uselessness of his disciples." As they floundered over my provocative words, I stepped forward, ready to turn the narrative on its head.
