Everyone had left the vicinity of Nirvana. The Oración Seis, Jellal, and the dark wizards were all restrained and taken away.
Once the magic crystal exploded and the magic power supply was lost, Nirvana would collapse.
Halfway through their journey, Natsu and Gray woke up and got out of bed to walk on their own. They were embarrassed to always be carried by a girl.
"By the way, where's Miss Tiffany?" Erza asked curiously.
Given Tiffany's strength, she shouldn't be injured so badly that she couldn't reunite with everyone.
And since Everit wasn't injured, it was unlikely that he would have sat idly by while she was so badly hurt that she couldn't take care of herself—even if their relationship was strained.
"She had another mission and has already left," Everit replied.
In fact, the mission involving the Oración Seis was just a side task. Tiffany's main goal was to investigate the force that had assisted the Oración Seis, so she had already begun tracking down leads.
"I see," Erza said, nodding.
*Snap*
Everit snapped his fingers.
*Boom boom boom*
In the distance, Nirvana began to collapse.
Everyone watched the scene of destruction with varied expressions and thoughts, especially the Oración Seis and others, who had complex feelings.
Amidst the smoke and dust, the grand magical creation—Nirvana—eventually became a ruin, its use rendered impossible.
*Da da da*
An army suddenly appeared in the distance.
The leader was a young man wearing glasses, with a cold yet arrogant demeanor. He gave the impression of being part of a powerful organization and looked down on those he deemed inferior.
When he spoke, his tone was authoritative and unyielding.
"To ensure everyone's safety, please stay where you are for now. I would prefer not to resort to rough measures."
"Who are you?" Happy asked.
"I am Lahar, the Captain of the 4th Custody of the Magic Council," Lahar announced. "We are here to uphold the law and justice, and we will not tolerate any evil."
"The Magic Council," everyone realized.
Lahar continued, "We are here to apprehend the Oración Seis and all the dark wizards under their command."
No one spoke as they silently made their way.
Those who make mistakes must face consequences.
Even Hoteye had made grave errors.
The soldiers took away Oración Seis and a group of wizards.
Finally, Lahar turned to Simon and Jellal and said, "You two need to come with us as well."
"Of course," Simon replied. "Jellal and I have never considered shirking our responsibility."
He pulled Jellal in front of Erza, met her gaze directly, and said, "I'm sorry. We've just reunited, and now we have to part ways once more."
Erza's expression was a mix of emotions, and she remained silent.
"Jellal and I have committed serious offenses, and there's a strong possibility that we'll be sentenced to death," Simon continued calmly.
Yet, he hesitated, a conflicted look on his face.
"I..."
Simon clenched his teeth and spoke with resolve, "My mind has not changed! But if Jellal and I truly leave forever, I hope you can move past the shadows of the past and find your happiness!"
Erza averted her gaze and remained silent.
At that moment, Everit, Natsu, and Gray approached simultaneously.
Everit drew Erza into his embrace. At that moment, she was as vulnerable as an ordinary girl and nearly collapsed with the slight pull.
Natsu and Gray moved in, and Erza seized the opportunity to hold onto their shoulders.
An intensely restrained voice, tinged with tears, was heard: "Yeah."
"Erza..." Lucy also stepped forward and gently embraced her.
Everit adjusted his glasses.
Erza's demeanor wasn't quite the same as he remembered from his previous life.
Perhaps it was the butterfly effect of his actions.
At least, she wouldn't have been so weak—back in the animation from his previous life, Erza only cried when she was alone, but now she couldn't contain her emotions.
Everit had appeared to support her, and Natsu and Gray also recognized this.
But.
Is there anything wrong with being vulnerable?
Regardless, Everit never shied away from showing his own weaknesses in front of his family.
So, it's not just Erza. Natsu, Gray, and others, including Laxus, are all less tsundere than they were in the previous animation. Laxus, who used to be 99% tsundere, is now at least 10% tsundere.
"Thank you for your cooperation."
Lahar gathered his men and left.
Everit took out a hood and placed it on Erza. "It's windy at night. Don't catch a cold."
He then adjusted the hat on Erza's head.
Erza lowered her head, hiding her tear-stained face completely under the hat.
"Mr. Everit, and everyone else," Wendy spoke up, "This place is not far from our guild. Why don't you come to our guild to rest?"
"Then I apologize for the inconvenience."
Everyone nodded in agreement.
They arrived at the Cait Shelter.
Everyone was indeed exhausted.
After greeting the guild leader, they were shown to a vacant room in the village to rest.
Everit lay down and winced in pain.
"Ahh—"
The pain intensified as he relaxed.
"Mr. Everit," a small voice called out as a little head peeked through the door.
"Wendy?" Everit responded.
"Shh..." Wendy quickly placed her index finger to her lips, looking apologetic. She whispered, "I came out without telling Carla. May I come in?"
"Of course. What's the matter?" Everit nodded.
Wendy entered the room, knelt beside Everit's bed, and said, "I didn't notice it earlier, but I realized Mr. Everit must have strained his muscles. When we came down from Nirvana, Ms. Erza noticed that your walking posture and movements were off. Given how you fought today, she guessed you had strained your muscles. Let me help treat it."
"Thank you for your help," Everit said gratefully.
"Please lie down," Wendy instructed.
"Alright."
