เขียนรีวิวIET is one of the few author's who manages to create story's that keep the enjoyable elements of cultivation novels but without any of the other cliche BS. I didn't even begin reading but I am pretty sure that this will turn out great as already seen from his previous novels.
although i haven't read it yet, but i believe from the author he's one of my favourite author, i hope this novel would be great ........................
would have reported this **** for corruption if i could, this novel wasn't even selected from the trial reads and yet ignoring everything here it is, i don't care if its a good book or not for everyone wondering, this **** is taunting whoever voted in trial reads, idc if this review gets deleted, this **** is either gonna get bombed more or is gonna fall in obscurity anyway. this was for sending a mssg for whoever is the asshole in the back "FUCK YOU".
I Eat Tomatoes. Sounds promising. But this.. actually a bit boring. MC started smooth, acknowledged as a genius and stay that way through the courses. Yes there's a fiancee (with that extra broken off twist too) and there's always strong childhood sweetheart). But the MC life was way too smooth, that there's almost no break down moments so far. Good thing is he's not arrogant or has violence tendency. Most of people around are pretty okay. So in short, it's pretty boring. I found myself feel asleep reading at times..
Everyone is talking about IET new novel but believe me there is nothing new, yeah there is nothing new like human-demon war , dead mysterious mother, broken engagement, ultra MC and many more Cliche but the worst part is heroine who is depicted as a traditional (Pedantic) women . I mean she always cook for mc , wait for him and almost act like a servent while she had a higher status and potential only because a woman always had to be in her man's shadow , absolutely disgusting . Also there is time when she already made breakthrough but didn't tell mc because she didn't want embarass her man by attaining breakthrough before him(Yuck) and author tend exempt heroine from every event without any reason while she have same standing as mc in sect . So disgusting and backward thinking didn't expect something like this from the so called LEGENDRY IET .
I am just not able to read it. I find it way too boring and classic. It's a Chinese novel about a guy who cultivates...Have I spoiled you too much?
What sort of Chinese corruption is this? There were plenty of other novels in trial read that had much more support then this novel. This novel will eventually fall into obscurity, they could have atleasted picked a novel that was better received, but we got this.
This shouldn't even be in the trial reads with the quality of this story. It should just be translated right away without us needing to pick it. Seriously webnovel you are wasting our trial read spots. If you are thinking about reading it you won't regret it. It is very good.
Heavily underrated. I have read all of IET's works and as of the chapter 432 this book is on par with the likes of Desolate Era or better in some aspects. You can definitely see that IET has improved in his writing quality, lots of times I find myself skipping chapters of long Chinese novels like these simply due to boredom as many chapters that these authors put out are simply filling. But I must say, I did not skip a single chap while reading up until this point. The whole story from arch to arch was seamless and I kept wanting to read more and more. I have not felt this way while reading a Chinese novel (Xuanhuan, Xianxia and Wuxia) in a long time (since many of my first reads of some of the best like ISSTH and such). I didn't say much about the book as I don't want to give any spoilers but the cultivation and world background is really great. At the beginning it seems small and you wonder is this really an IET novel? But then everything gradually expands. Many people are attacking this for being boring and so on but most of the people making these reviews are people who probably say MGA is the best novel out there. So don't be discouraged and definitely try this out.
Review after first volume. While this story appears to have a similar setup to many other wuxia stories (ex. the eyeroll inducing failed engagement) there are some elements that I really enjoy. I think the biggest surprise for me is that this story did not start out with any amazing, overdone cheat mechanism. And neither is it a transmigration or reincarnation story. The setup is just a decently talented MC who just has a great work ethic. After the first volume the really "big help" came from a combination of his own hard work + thoughtfulness and then a very supportive family system around him. I love that part as I don't care for stupid, backstabbing families as a setup. Either way I'm really looking forward to following this next IET story.
What about his journey to become an eternal??? Nooooooo. I can't accept this ending. Sequel???? ..............................................
I really like this novel. Its a wuxia novel rather than a xianxia novel (Its more based on mythology and stuff like demons than cultivating into godhood/immortality). The world of the novel is about demons trying to invade the human world, and humans were forced to join together to fight the demons. There is a surprising amount of unity amongst humans when faced with a bigger threat, which is a fresh breath of air from the constant betrayals and evil people that seem to be the norm in most chinese novels. Also, there haven't been any overused tropes such as arrogant young masters, which is really nice. Overall, I'd strongly recommend the novel. The techniques and cultivation system in the novel seem interesting, the MC's character and personality are not boring/annoying to read about, and overall the novel is a nice fresh breath of air from the 100000 novels about some random MC becoming immortal while encountering a million arrogant young masters along the way.
Why this cover looks familiar? *looks back at my library* Aha! It's the same cover from "The Brilliant Fighting Master". Lmao. Webnovel needs to hire artists. They actually flipped that cover and slapped it with a new title. That's all. Such effort for a new novel. Hahaha. Okay if you guys remove this, then pretty much you guys can't accept the truth. xD
This novel feel nice to read. Unlike a lot of ppl saying it's boring I think this novel is a gem. Give it a try this is worth it. If you're reading this I wish you all the best.
This is a very interesting novel. It is really well written. There are no unnecessary fillers or cliches.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
A novel written by of the best Qidian authors and translated by the best translator here. It's definitely worth it to read and spend your spirit stones!
IET. My man doing some good works because there is not a single cliches that annoys you. I'm currently at chap300 and I liked it every chapter. There is no trash mc, broken engagement, broken meridians/dantian that everybody even servants looking down blah blah.. It has it's own character development, and not eveeything revolving around the mc.
Like always IET's novel always captivating. On there are no rich spoiler kids or stupid slapping. People are trying to survive , but in the novel there is no fun comedies, no fun characters. the novel is is kind of dark and interesting characters can also die at any given moment.
This is IET's latest work. It's closer to a wuxia story than a xianxia story like his previous works. Archean Eon Art tells a tale of human unity (so there won't be cliche arrogant young masters or family jealousy being the main plot points like other books). As a result, many of the side characters also grow with our main character in recurring appearances to push this narrative of a cohesive front. Side characters die due to the demon intrusions, and the sacrifices of these heroes leave an impact on our main character, Meng Chuan. Meng Chuan cultivates hard, but he has a guilty pleasure that he enjoys from a young age—drawing. It's a habit his deceased mother had imbued in him. Whenever Meng Chuan is impacted by the happenings around him, he takes in the feelings and processes them before drawing them out as artworks. And this serves to make him stronger. In this world invaded by demons, IET shows us what sacrifice and honor is. IET manages to make you feel for the dead even if they appeared just a paragraph or two ago. He invokes the feelings that we as humans will have when facing a common enemy. He immerses us in heart-pumping action that he has honed for more than a decade. It's definitely a solid, thoughtful, well-written story that you should read.
