บท 109: Chapter 109 : Uchiha Clan And Danzo
"Why are you looking like that ?" Sasuke asked with raised eyebrows while looking at the dark circles under Shika's eyes.
"A witch keeps sucking away my life nowadays in the hospital," Shika replied with a haggard face, completely deprived of sleep.
Sasuke blinked in confusion, not sure what he was imagining in his head. Shaking his head he finally asked what he wanted to.
"You were right..." Sasuke cleared his throat and began, though it was hard for him to say that he was wrong to others.
"Yeah, unfortunately, that is the case, believe me, I don't like it just as much as you do." Shika only muttered to himself but Sasuke heard him clearly, deciding not to reply to this he kept his focus on the topic of why he was there.
"I have to get stronger, but I also have to get smarter if I want to kill Itachi and anyone who was responsible for the execution of our clan," Sasuke said and then to even Shika's amazement, slightly bowed.
"Please help me... you are the only one who can help me right now." Sasuke said, it wasn't easy for him to ask for help, even Shika could tell by, that he didn't even need to know about Sasuke's personality from the anime. The boy was proud of himself too much for this.
"Sure, that's why I told you about myself back then in the first place. But just as I said, you are not ready.
Even if you get much stronger, you won't be ready. Becuase you are only seeking power in the sense of Jutsu, Physical power, and completely disregarding the political side, the more rational thinking side and above all the instincts which a Ninja need to build over time.
Currently, your emotions control you, even if you get stronger, like this you will never be able to truly get strong..." Shika mercilessly said making Sasuke grit his teeth.
Sasuke too now knew what the boy was saying was right, he had been acting like a fool for a very long time, maybe becuase there was no one to show him what he was doing wrong or he was just too stubborn to listen to anyone.
But... that defeat from Itachi woke him up. Not only did he lose in physical power against Itachi but he also lost in mind.
His emotions made him irrationally attack Itachi even without waiting for a good chance, he put Kakashi and others in danger and more than anything, once again Itachi didn't kill him showing that either he was worthless to be killed by him or what Shika said, there was much more going on which he doesn't know it.
Whatever it was, the fact that he couldn't even figure out in all this time, explains that he really needed to keep his act together.
"Please tell me what are your suspicions. I swear not to act without having a proper plan and power. I won't be controlled by my emotions again." Sasuke said with determination on his face.
Shika nodded hearing this.
"Hmm... fine.
I won't be telling you everything but here is the gist of it..." Shika said and then went on to explain about the conflict between the Village and the Uchiha clan.
The history of the Uchiha clan and then his suspicions about what would have happened back then.
By the end of it, Sasuke was fuming.
"You mean to say that Hokage ordered that..." Sasuke's voice was low but there was clear anger on his face, the Sharingan was on display.
'Good thing that I put sound seals around the place.'
"It's possible, he is Hokage after all, I doubt something this big could happen without him knowing.
My best guess is that he himself wasn't planning on completely eradicating the Uchiha clan.
It doesn't make sense politically, after all just as I said, it's not like the entire Uchiha clan was demanding for a cu..
He most likely wanted to take out only those members to bring short-term peace. By seeing his track record, if you study his deeds more closely outside what the classes in the academy teach you, you will learn that the man usually chooses to maintain peace over war most of the time.
Uchiha also comes under his power technically so why would he want to completely eradicate his own power ?" Shika said while looking away to a particular direction of the village.
"So, who did it... ?" Sasuke asked with killing intent in his voice.
"I have a name, honestly I personally believe that there can't be anyone else besides this particular person in the village who could have done that, but I don't have any proof.
That with his high position in the village, and your ill temper. I will for the time being keep my mouth shut..." Shika didn't say it.
Sasuke gritted his teeth, he wanted to know, hell he wanted to outright gut the bastard but he kept his cool.
"What do I have to do to get that name out of you," Sasuke asked.
"Ah, now you are talking like a Shinobi. Good...
Only one thing honestly.
You just have to get stronger, strong enough to beat me.
If you beat me then I will tell you his name. " Shika replied with a smirk.
Sasuke at this glared at Shika like he fuck her mother.
"Fight me then. You beat me once, it won't happen twice." Sasuke said already getting into a fighting stance.
"Oh, well we'll know about that. But I have to say it to you, you are no match for me as you are right now..." Shika's smile got bigger, it felt good seeing Sasuke scowling at him.
"Haaa.." Sasuke didn't bother talking more to Shika after this and attacked him. 'This ain't no kindergarden fight kid, you have no idea how much I hold back even back then when fighting you.' Shika shook his head though he was thinking about releasing his stress by beating up Sasuke here.

In the dimly lit room of Root's headquarters, a masked Anbu knelt before Danzo, handing over a sealed document. Danzo took the file, his single visible eye scanning the contents quickly. As he read, his expression shifted from interest to deep suspicion.
The report detailed Shika Nara's activities, and what Danzo saw shocked him. According to the file, Shika had completed several high-level missions—missions far beyond what a genin or even a chunin would be assigned. But these missions were never made public. Hiruzen had clearly covered them up.
There was no way he could get his hands on something if Hiruzen himself hid it, but after him gone, he slowly started to get all those secrets.
And that was when his attention went to Shika Nara.
On paper, the child was nothing special but what he saw in the Chunin exam tells otherwise.
And now he had proof, the child was indeed Chunin rank for a long time ago but Hiruzen held him back. Several high tier missions, there was even a S rank mission done by him.
Danzo frowned deeply. 'Why would Hiruzen hide the capabilities of this boy?'
His hand tightened around the file as he looked down at the kneeling Anbu. "This information is incomplete. I want more. Especially regarding Shika's relationship with Tsunade," Danzo said coldly.
The Anbu nodded. "From what we gathered, Shika was forced to work in the hospital under Tsunade's orders. She's made him her personal assistant, though it's unclear why."
Danzo's eyes narrowed. "And his role in bringing Tsunade back to the village? What happened?"
The Anbu hesitated for a moment. "There is no solid information on that. We only know that after Tsunade initially refused to return, the boy challenged her after two months of Tsunade refusing to come back to the village. But there are no details on what transpired during that time.
Those Roots members who were assigned to trail the Jinchuriki and everyone with him never came back alone"
This was of course Shika's doing. Before showcasing what he was capable of he made sure that there were no extra ears or eyes around.
Danzo's frown deepened. 'A challenge?' A recently made Chunin challenging someone like Tsunade? And no one knew what happened? This only added to his suspicions. There was clearly something being hidden.
"Find out everything you can," Danzo ordered. "I want full details on what happened between Shika and Tsunade. No more gaps in information. If there's anything unusual, bring it to me immediately."
"Hai, Danzo Sama..."
" What about that Uzumaki Girl ?"
"Still under Guy's watch, we can't move her without making him suspicious..."
"There were a connection between both the boy and the girl right ?"
"It was Shika Nara who requested Guy to train the girl."
'Train or look after ?' Danzo pondered and it was more suspicious that Guy just readily agreed.
There was more to this...
The Anbu nodded again before vanishing into the shadows, leaving Danzo alone in his thoughts. He needed to know more about Shika. At first, he just sent his root to take the boy becuase he found his potential in the chunin exam but Jiraiya came in between.
And now this?

บท 110: Chapter 110 : Ramen Date 1
It is not easy to get free time nowadays for Shika. Tsunade was making him go through the ropes in the Hospital. He didn't like it but didn't retaliate either just because he was getting direct learning under Tsunade.
He could instantly heal others and himself in seconds with Reverse Curse Technique but that doesn't mean he has enough knowledge of human autonomy to do anything more. There are times when normal healing, no matter how powerful, is just not enough and one needs more in-depth knowledge about medicines to heal others.
He long wanted to learn Medical Jujutsu but maybe becuase of time or becuase he had no one to teach, he never came to learn it. So now that he was getting knowledge under Tsunade he took the opportunity.
But this also means that he wasn't getting enough time to train himself or spend some time with Hinata. That last one was especially a sour point for him, he couldn't even give that poor girl the treat he promised her and that was two freaking months ago.
Sigh…
Though he was putting his clones to work almost every day. But even this his training also suffered quite a bit for this.
And today was the day when he finally got some time to spend with Hinata. He had to fight tooth and nail to get one free day from the hospital, had to say that Tsunade when it comes to it was a slave driver.
Though he was sure that she had some personal vendetta against him.
'Maybe I shouldn't have stopped Mahoraga after all.' Shika ponders with irritation on his face.
Shaking his head to stop thinking about his misery, he directly went to the spot where both he and Hinata decided to meet.
This wasn't exactly a date, Shika promised Hinata to treat her with anything she wanted. But he wouldn't mind making this a real date, he liked Hinata, not just due to the anime he watched but the girl here was also someone he liked.
He is not sure what her attitude is towards Naruto but if possible he would like to pursue her.
No loss at trying right?
It was on to Hinata where she wanted to go, the girl chose Ramen stand and again for some reason.
He honestly wanted to bring her somewhere good but it seemed that she liked Ramen more.
'Or maybe she didn't want to be seen alone with me by someone else in a big enough place. Ramen stand after all is a place where everyone once in a while arrives and eats, it's pretty normal.' Shika thought and the more he was thinking the more depressing things were becoming.
Sigh.
Soon Hinata came, she was on time, it was Shika who was early.
"Shika Kun…" Hinata called out as she entered the stand making her presence known.
Shika noticed that she wasn't wearing her normal baggy coat and pants.
It was a shirt which well showcased her curves well, and with that, she wore Anbu-style pants.
It was more similar to how many Kunoichi dress in the village nowadays.
"You are looking good Hinata." Shika complimented.
"Ah.. hmm thank you," Hinata replied blushing and sat down beside him.
The look wasn't feminine but more like a battle-hardened female warrior. It was very suitable and modest for a kunoiche but on her…
On her, even this was looking hot…
'A little too developed for her own good.' Shika practically had to drag her eyes away from her and asked her to order.
"Uncle bring whatever she wants, everything on me today," Shika said making the Ramen guy and her daughter who were staring at both of them and her smile got moving.
"So Hinata, how have you been, it's been some time since the Chunin exam…how things are going." Shika started a casual conversation.
"Everything's good. After the exam, Father started teaching me again and my training has been going well so far." Hinata smiled and replied.
"You sure looked happy." Shika smile.
"Hmmm hum." Hinata nodded while her face was stuffed with noodles, looking quite like a hamster.
'Kawaii….' But he won't say it.
"Ah there it is, Hamster Hinata. I can die in peace now." Shika laughed making the girl who was eating the ramen with ferocity almost choke and then glare at Shika with her cute look.
Huffing she turned back like she was angry at him and solely focused on eating, though she still didn't bother about not looking like a hamster in front of him.
"Sorry sorry, I couldn't help it, you looked too cute like that for me to not to point out," Shika replied while taking a bite of his Ramen, he can't eat like Hinata nor he can complete a few Dorzen of bawls. So to avoid running out of food and then awkwardly sitting there, he only took a small bit.
Hinata didn't turn to Shika even now, though this time the reason was more becuase there was a huge blush on her face.
'Who calls someone else cute this openly… Hmph'
This wasn't the date he anticipated but he liked it so far.
"Oh, by the way, how is Team 8… It's been so long since I caught up with them, I should have met with Kurenai sensei and others but the hospital work is not giving me any time…" Shika said trying to turn the conversation around, he knew that Hinata wasn't angry or anything but will keep acting like she is until she has a way to turn that around.
"Oh they all are fine, Kurenai sensei did tell me to tell you that you should not cheap out on your Genjutsu training," Hinata said with a pout knowing that he was trying to change the conversation.
"Yeah, unfortunately, I have to disappoint her on that, I really have almost zero time on my hands nowadays. Tsunade is a slave driver." Shika said with a deadpan look on his face, wondering what kind of bad life choices he had made over the years.
But hearing this Hinata's eyes widen, her small mouth opens up and her eyebrows raise up.
"You are learning under Tsunade Sama." Hinata just like other Kunoiches was a big fan of Tsunade.
"Learning is not how I will describe it, more like surviving her somehow." Shika rolls his eyes with pure righteous fury in his tone. But he masked it well.
"You shouldn't tell that about Tsunade Sama, Shika Kun. Do you know she is one of the…" Hinata was saying but Shika cut her off midway.
"I know…I know… One of the Sannin, only living Senju, Princess of Leaf, greatest medical ninja alive blah blah blah… I know all of it.
But it still doesn't make my suffering under her any less." Shika said with an off tone trying not to go on a rant about that vile woman.
Hinata didn't look very happy about this and wanted to say something more but before that, Shika just changed the conversation altogether.
"Okay okay.. let's not talk about that. Tell me about yourself, and how is your training is going on. If you are learning under your father then you must have gotten real strong right ?" Shika asked, trying to convert the conversation to something else, anything else.
"Yeah, Father taught me many powerful techniques of the clan and now my food budget has also increased," Hinata replied happily. Not minding Shika trying to avoid the previous topic altogether.
"Good…"
