บท 92: Chapter 92 : To Find Tsunade
The sudden notice to accompany Jiraiya disrupted his plans… now not having enough time to fool Sasuke with half-truths and half-lies, he had to hurry.
So, after leaving Jiraiya, Shika rushed to where Sasuke usually trained to talk with him, it's crucial that he talk with him and prove that there is some weight to his so-called suspicion which he always talked about.
He soon arrived where Sasuke usually trained, and sure enough, Sasuke was there training.
"Yo, still training I see…" Shika replied with a smile on his face. Sasuke who was training did see him coming but didn't say anything until his training wasn't done.
Shika had his eyebrow twitching seeing the bastard ignoring him, he didn't have enough time so he said again.
"Come here, wanna talk to you about something important." Shika retained his casual look but this tone was different slightly this time.
Sasuke sneaked a glance at Shika, pondered something and then finally came over not to him.
"Be quick, I have training left…" Sasuke replied with a little irritation on his face.
'Sigh, he has been like this since he lost to me in Konoha Crush. I got more killed than that bastard. Mainly because I was back on full chakra due to that scroll… he has been grumpy ever since.'
"Well I was planning to explain the entire thing previously but I don't have time now either. So let's indeed make it quick.
There is a possibility, if my suspicion is right that is that Itachi would be visiting the village very soon."
Shika's voice fell and the relaxed nonchalant attitude of Sasuke in front of him almost flipped to his crazy revenge state.
Sharingan flared up immediately and his face was already looking like he was ready to commit murder.
"Okay okay… calm down, I said that there is a chance, What part of this you don't understand.
As I said I would have explained to you the logic behind this as well but I can't right now.
I need to leave the village with Master Jiraiya soon. Stay vigilant, and don't mindlessly rush to kill him, you are no match for him right now." Shika replied as he was all ready to go away but at this time he felt Sasuke grab his shoulder to stop him.
"Explain. Do you really think you can get away with saying something like that? Where is Itachi, how do you know this…" Sasuke was trying to intimidate Shika but Shika didn't lose his cool.
"Hey, didn't I tell you that it's just my hypothesis… If he comes then that means that there is some weight to my suspicions. There is no point explaining to you my long-ass hypothesis. Especially when I myself ain't sure whether he will come.
This is also a reason why I am asking you to stay vigilant, I am getting out of the village, and I can't keep a lookout for that guy here." Shika said and removed Sasuke's hand from his shoulder and kept on going, leaving Sasuke there alone to think for himself.

Under only a few hours Jiraiya, Naruto, and Shika left the village gate. Shika walked calmly, keeping his thoughts to himself, while Naruto was already full of energy, bouncing around as usual. Jiraiya, on the other hand, was taking long, carefree strides, maybe he too was looking forward to seeing his teammate for a long time.
Naruto couldn't hold his excitement in. "Hey, Pervy Sage! So where are we going? Who is this Tsunade you are looking for? And how strong is she? I bet I could take her down with one hit!"
Jiraiya chuckled. "Kid, Tsunade's one of the legendary Sannin, just like me. If you think you can take her down, you're in for a rude awakening. She could break every bone in your body with just a flick of her finger."
Naruto's eyes widened. "No way! She's really that strong?"
"Stronger," Jiraiya said with a smirk. "She's not just strong, she's the best medical ninja in the world. She is in fact the most dangerous person out there because unlike others, she can break all your bones and have enough capabilities to heal them back only to break them again." Jiraiya laughed.
'For some reason I feel that he is talking from experience...' Shika gave the toad sannin a side eye.
"They say that Tsunade of the Sannin can bring people back from death's door. If she can't heal you then there is basically no one in the entire elemental nation who can. She is old but uses a powerful jutsu to look like someone who is only in her 20s." Shika who was walking beside them added in.
Jiraiya laughed heartily. "Well, I wouldn't call her that to her face if I were you, unless you want to end up in the hospital."
'Ah, yes…' Shika also realized that he shouldn't call Tsunade old, at least no in her presence.
He wasn't surprised by Naruto's outbursts or Jiraiya's teasing. It was like watching two overgrown kids. He admired their energy, though. Even with all the danger they were facing, they still found a way to stay upbeat.
Naruto turned to Shika, who had been silent the whole time. "Hey, Shika! You're being super quiet! Don't tell me you're nervous about meeting Tsunade too!"
Shika shrugged. "Not really. I just don't see a reason to get worked up about it. We'll meet her when we meet her."
"Why you are coming with us again ?" Naruto asked with a little pout on his face, this guy always reminded him of both Shikamaru and Sasuke. A strange combination of both two.
Shika looked over at him. "I am a good tracker, Master Jiraiya brought me in to help find out Lady Tsunade?" Shika shrugged, he himself didn't want to go around looking for that legendary sucker, but right now he has no other option.
Dealing with this is way better than dealing with Danzo back in the village.
Jiraiya gave a small nod.
There was another reason why coming with both Jiraiya and Naruto on this small trip was worth it.
For Shika, this was an excellent way to start his Chidori training. He was holding onto this training for a long time, but now that he is under Jiraiya, he is pretty safe and also has enough chakra to start training in this technique.

I thought about it and decided to give him Chidori instead of Rasengan.

บท 93: Chapter 93 : Itachi
Sasuke couldn't stop thinking about what Shika had said. The possibility that Itachi might come to the village stirred a whirlwind of emotions within him. Even though Shika had mentioned it was just a suspicion, Sasuke couldn't get the thought out of his head. It consumed him, keeping him awake and restless.
'Annoying… now its in my head.' Sasuke mutters with clear irritation.
Unable to sit still any longer, Sasuke left his home and roamed the streets of the village, hoping that the cool air might help clear his mind.
'There are others who are responsible for what happened, if what he said is true, then I kill them too. Starting with Itachi, I will kill everyone who has a part in killing my clan.' Sasuke kept thinking about what Shika told him even after he came out to take a stroll, he couldn't be at ease, emotions inside him were violently rotating inside him. Not sure what to do.
That anger that he felt, for that long has become the only source of motivation for him.
However, after Shika revealed his identity, his ideology and goals were changing. Shika was a Uchiha like him, and Sharingan was proof, so he at least believed him somewhat. More than that, Shika was right now stronger than him. Maybe that was the real reason for his irritation. Shika beat him while he wasn't using his Sharingan. While Sasuke himself was getting help with his Sharingan and the curse mark.
Then there was also the comparison between his Chidori and that water attack from Shika. Kabuto survived his attack but Shika's attack didn't only kill Kabuto but even one more person who came in the line of his attack.
But then, when all these things were rotating in his mind something caught his eye. In the distance, he spotted Kakashi and Guy following two figures, both wearing black cloaks with red clouds on them. The sight immediately put Sasuke on high alert.
In any other case, he might not have cared that much but right now, he was wary of any outsider who visited the village.
His heart raced as he decided to follow them from a distance, staying hidden in the shadows. As he trailed them, he recognized Kakashi's tense stance, his Sharingan gaze focused on the two strangers. Guy, too, was unusually serious, his typical upbeat demeanour replaced by one of caution. Sasuke's instincts screamed at him: something wasn't right.
The group eventually stopped in a place with a river nearby. Kakashi moved closer to the two strangers, speaking in a low but firm voice. "I know who you are," Kakashi said, his eyes narrowed, focused on the taller figure with a long sword on his back and had shark-like features on his face. "Kisame. What are you doing in the village?"
But Kisame didn't say anything, it was the other person who replied.
"It's been a long time, Kakashi…" Said the man standing beside Kisame, slowly took out his hats and a pair of bloodshot eyes were revealed to everyone.
Sasuke's blood ran cold seeing those eyes.
"Itachi Uchiha…" Kakashi immediately opened his Sharingan and was on guard.
The man turned, his face still shadowed by the cloak, but there was no mistaking those eyes. The Sharingan. It was him—Itachi Uchiha, Sasuke's brother, and the one responsible for the massacre of their clan.
Itachi spoke in a calm, almost indifferent tone. "I have no interest in this village. I am here for something else. Step aside, Kakashi. This doesn't concern you."
Kisame, the other cloaked figure, grinned widely, gripping the handle of his enormous sword, Samehada. "Yeah, why don't you just let us pass? We're not here to start a fight… unless you're looking for one."
Kakashi didn't move, his hand twitching slightly toward the pouch on his belt. "Do you really think that you can just come back to the village and move around like nothing happened? You are an S rank missing nine Itachi, but that doesn't mean you can barge in Konoha like this." Kakashi said while both he and Guy were getting ready to fight.
Itachi's eyes slowly shifted to Kakashi's. "You can't stop me. Not with your current strength." His Sharingan swirled, casting a genjutsu before Kakashi could react. Kakashi's body stiffened, and for a moment, he seemed trapped in place.
Watching from the shadows, Sasuke's anger boiled over. He couldn't believe it—Itachi was right there.
Without thinking, Sasuke leapt from his hiding spot and charged straight at Itachi.
"Itachi!!" he screamed, his voice echoing as he launched a Chidori, crackling with lightning, directly at his brother.
Kakashi and Guy's eyes widened in shock, but Itachi simply turned his head to look at Sasuke, his face as calm as ever. In an instant, Itachi dodged the attack, sidestepping Sasuke's strike with ease. The Chidori hit the ground, sending sparks flying everywhere.
Sasuke gritted his teeth, his eyes locked onto Itachi's. "I'll kill you, Itachi! You and everyone who was involved in the extinction of the clan" Sasuke shouted.
Itachi stared at Sasuke, his expression unreadable. But what Sasuke said was already making him alarmed. "So, you've gotten stronger, little brother." His voice was emotionless as if Sasuke's rage meant nothing to him. "But it's still not enough."
Itachi wanted to know why Sasuke thought that there were more involved but he didn't have time right now.
With a swift movement, Itachi appeared in front of Sasuke and grabbed his wrist, twisting it just enough to make Sasuke drop his Chidori. Sasuke's body froze as Itachi's Sharingan locked onto his, trapping him in a powerful genjutsu.
Suddenly, Sasuke found himself back in the Uchiha compound, surrounded by the bodies of his family. The memories of that night came flooding back, the screams, the blood—Itachi standing over them, his eyes cold and unfeeling.
Sasuke screamed, trying to break free from the genjutsu, but it was too powerful. His mind was drowning in the images of that night, the trauma resurfacing with brutal force.
Just under a few seconds, Sasuke was unconscious and dropped down to the floor.
Kakashi acted fast and caught him. Both Kakashi and Guy stood in front of him both Kisame and Itachi. The situation was getting worse.
