เรื่องย่อ
A nameless street urchin dies after trying his hardest to survive in a cruel and unfair world, and then finds himself in a new one.
Being reincarnated as Liu, the only son of peace-loving villagers in a rural community, he is initially content and overjoyed with this new life of peace and tranquility that he is born into. Unfortunately, this does not last forever.
After his village is ravaged by bandits, Liu loses everything... including his freedom.
Cursed to the life of a slave, he firmly decides to fight against his fate and rise against the tides of this new world that boasts even greater cruelty than his previous one. This world is home to Martial Arts, Mystical Arts, Strange Beasts, and powers that defy imagination, yet Liu is determined to survive in it.
No, not just survive... he desires to rise to the very top, eliminating those who stand in his way.
"Living is not for the weak." He says, "I refuse to be weak!"

I'll be honest, this review will obviously have some author bias. I personally feel this is an epic story. It tells the story of someone who has known struggle all their life, suddenly thrust into a brand new world, and losing everything once more. It's also a redemption tale, and one that should resonate with any reader that picks it up. Or, I hope so. Now, a major criticism many readers will give is the slow pace. However, give it up to the 10-12th chapter, and the current will flow much faster. It would do you good to just read the story and enjoy Liu's adventure. Another criticism would be Liu's pettiness and personality display at the early point of the novel. Remember, even if he's reincarnated, it doesn't mean he's one wise and mature sage. He was bred in a cruel environment which makes him selfish, petty, and very self-centered. Obviously, with character development, he grows. Other than that, I think it all boils down to individual taste. Please don't unreasonably hate on this book just because it doesn't do what YOU want. I'd like to hear your opinions through comments or reviews. I'm always willing to grow and learn. Thank you all for reading.
