Albert was dumbfounded when he heard Pedro's response. When Kevin argued that Mr Pedro was just urging him(Kevin), Albert felt he was right; after all, Mr Pedro had also praised him for his ability to seize the moment.

He thought that perhaps Pedro said all this to fool Kevin, and when the time came, he would still sign with a person that offered him more benefits. He had just taken a deep breath in relief when he heard Pedro take a step back and make a proposal to sign the contract that night. At that moment, Albert felt like a bucket of cold water was poured all over him.

He had been treating Mr Pedro like a god, but the man turns around without hesitation to call him a thief and sign a contract with his biggest competitor. Even if he was a fool, he could tell that when the news got out the next day, many people would mock him.
