บท 69: Corrupted Leech - [ Chapter - 69 ]
As Bean continued to absorb the divine energy, Ho-Seok then said to all of them, "We'll be going down this vein, I'll fly down with one of you but I'm assuming, that a Rogue has a climbing or parkour skills?" he asked as he knew that already as he checked all of their skills and abilities from before.
Ray sighed as he said this, "Yeah, pick up Olivia, Bean also does have a climbing skill but it doesn't have that much proficiency, so it might be slow, but it's better than throwing our mage down, but what about sir Zurich?", he said as he just jumped down with his horse and Ho-Seok just sighed as he held his hand to his face.
So Ho-Seok then grabbed a hold of Olivia by her waist then quickly flew down as he did, it was actually quite deep and it became dark extremely fast even though they hadn't even gone down that much, so he actived his molten electricity ability to use a light and also combined Olivia's erruption.
「Was I named after her?」
Ho-Seok was a bit surprised as he suddenly heard Olivia's voice in her head and whispered silently as he also blocked off his voice from anyone else from listening, "Yes, like I've told you before, I named you guys after my friends in my first life." he said sadly as he looked downward now.
「Then can I give myself a nickname for you to not be confused?」
『Oooooo, me too! Me too!』
He chuckled a bit as both of them sounded pretty excited and he also thought that it was a pretty good idea and it looked like they were gonna fall for quite a while, he smiled as he then replied to both of them saying, "Sure, so what do you guys want your nicknames to be?", he said as he chuckled lightly.
「Then call my Olly! I've thought about this for a while and this definitely seemed like a good name for me.」
『Isn't that a boy name? Well never mind, that's a good nickname anyway Olly, you guys can now call me Cae, since it sounds pretty cool.』
Both of the nicknames they made up were pretty good so Ho-Seok then said, "They're good, Olly and Cae", he said as he laughed a bit at the end saying their names, just as they were talking about their nicknames, they were now able to see the bottom of the drop, however they were already near it.
So Ho-Seok slowed down as he looked around and saw Zurich, standing up as he was petting his horse and as he was walking over to him, Olivia then said, "Umm, please let me down first." she laughed awkwardly as he put her down, he was a bit embarrassed since he already forgot about her.
With Ho-Seok's current stats, her body weight was even lighter than a feather to him, so he then said as he put her down, "Hehe, um, sorry about that.", he quickly headed towards Zurich to avoid the already awkward situation he made but as he was walking towards Zurich, they then heard a huge thud.
They all then turned to see what it was, since it was still pretty dark, and Ho-Seok just left Olivia, with a little lamp out of his molten electricity and he created an orb to follow him around as he light since he definitely knew and found out that his true sight ability wasn't working on the darkness around them.
It could only mean one thing, it was made by something that was definitely a lot stronger than his true sight ability, which also meant the darkness was definitely not natural as well, but now as they look to see where the thud was a golden light was piercing through the darkness from where the sound of the thud came from.
But as they saw the place being purified more and more, they then heard Bean's voice saying, "Ouch, uh sorry for scaring you guys but I'd just like to tell all of you that this place is a lot more dangerous with the amount of energy I'm seeing.", as he said this Ho-Seok checked his status again.
As he did, he saw that his divine stat was just increasing by 1 by the second, it increased by multiple folds already, so which meant they were definitely getting closer to the source, but they still needed to wait for Ray who was climbing down safely unlike a certain someone who threw themselves down.
While they waited, Zurich then continued talking to Zurich as he told them the plan, as he definitely knew the corruption was weak against holy attacks, so their divine energy from Arthur would definitely pack a punch towards it, so they then activated their divine energy around their body.
After doing this, Ho,Seok then asked quietly, "Cae, can you transform into something that can hold holy power well? Also both of you, change your default abilities into your divine powered version.", after saying that, a divine energy started to cover both of them as well as they activated their divine power and Cae started to transform.
When he transformed, he actually changed into a divine staff, he also took some other holy abilities from his other forms to boost up their power, the main ability of his form though was called, "Divine Sanctuary" which boosted all stats by 50% while also reducing damage taken by 5% and damaged all evil beings.
The only real problem with the ability was that, it needed a constant supply of holy energy, but that problem was quickly solved as they all had divine energy powering it instead which was more than a hundred times more powerful than normal holy energy so it was pretty lucky to get the energy.
Now as he did all of this preparation, Ray quickly arrived and said before he could even catch his breath, "Let's end this quickly, we just follow the vines right?", he said as he started walking quickly, they were all surprised at his tenacity, even Ho-Seok, but he just chuckled as he then followed him.
Then he said, "What's wrong? You heard him, let's go!", as he said this, they then started moving quickly trying to find the source and as they did this, the darkness around them was getting a whole lot darker although, it was being immediately absorbed by Bean so it wasn't that much of a problem.
But as they were walking, they then stumbled a huge bone in front of them, but as the space around then were being purified around them, it then showed it was an enormous hand, and there were even some leech looking monsters, eating away at the bones, but then suddenly wailing could be heard.
